Blame Brett Ratner for that. He's a douchebag. And a bad director. Why exactly is he so 'acclaimed'? Does he just have a lot of friends? Look, I hate Ratner too, but how can you blame a director for something written into the script before he was even attached to the project? there's no way to know that was in the script prior to his being attached, unless you have some information i don't know about. Directors make changes to scripts all the time, that's part of the creative license of being a director (Otherwise they wouldn't really have as much influence on the movie) You are right however, he may NOT be to blame for that decision, but at the same time if he were the right director he wouldn't allow it to happen if it was gonna destroy the movie (We're assuming that actually happens and it's -for real- as opposed to something to shock the audience and be shown as how it didn't really happen later.) Lets

...i'd say take a look at who starred in those movies, and how those stars made those movies good and not attach the credit for their quality to the director. And I'd say they are decent movies...but nothing particularly great. What is significant is his involvement with the superman movie and what he wanted to do to that, and carry it over to the x-men franchise.

Sting putting over Christian though? (even as a Face vs. Face competitive match it could show that Christian has heart/fire etc.) Sting putting over Monty Brown. Sting putting over Joe. And it'll draw some people to watch, who will like the product that they see and continue to watch. I agree however, if he just goes up against jarrett and rhino and such, it's a huge waste of time. He needs to be there to work programs with the younger guys, apparently take them to their limit before putting them over. That's the only way it's successful.

I really can't stand raven. He looks like a hobo drug addict (I see them regularly, I ought to know). He's not intimidating one bit, and I agree with DangerousA, he's really seeming way too relaxed for the 'angle' he's in.

I just saw that movie the other day. He really could have killed the entire city, and pretty much killed everyone who could fight in the city. That was awesome...though a lot more style than substance (Which isn't bad persay, but it can't compare with the scenes in Ong-Bak)

She's insane powerful, and fun with all her different skills. Iron Man i was disappointed with some of his skills, they aren't as effective as one would hope for, but he IS the best pure melee character imho, except MAYBE Wolverine, and his defense is way better than Wolverines also. Unfortunateltyhe has no melee -skills- (they're all ranged) which is kinda odd. (Though he'd have like an energy burst punch thing). I need to go replay the game online though

You might be able to repackage the game for a different distribution depending on the terms of the license (PC/Emulation/XboxliveArcade). You could also potentially update the game as long as it remains the same gameplay. You'd really have to read the license...but those properties actually fully owned by other companies aren't the valuable ones. It's the ones acclaim developed themselves that could hold value.

The real question is finding out what these rights entail. Like for bubble Bobble, Bust-a-Move, Double Dragon, Smash T.V., Wizards and Warriors those are all Acclaim properties, so does that include the ability to make future games with those properties. Those are all decent licenes right there, so they could be worth it

I enjoyed this show. The six-man wasn't great, but it did have excellent pacing and flow, it seemed very natural and well-booked. I liked the Rhino promo's a lot, it almost makes me think Rhino might actually win...except he won't. The baseball thing was ok, kinda amusing to see how much taller Torborg and Pierzynski are than their x-division wrestlers ;p Imagine if they brought in someone like matt morgan, he'd make their roster look like midgets. I actually kinda liked the Christian match. He brought out some new/different moves, and a lot of the rust/hesitancy is him trying some new things in his moveset/matches that he couldn't do in the WWE, as well as working as a face rather than a heel. I think he's gonna be ok once he establishes himself a bit in TNA The lights out switch from ring ropes to barbed wire was ridiculously fake. But amusing I may order Turning Point, if I do it's to see Christian/Monty, Joe/styles and whether Rhino can actually win (Maybe he'll get to do a rhinodriver to Jarrett, 2nd-rope piledriver on jarrett = cool) We'll see on sunday

Nothing is worse than storm being a central part of the movies. she's actually my least favorite of the characters in the movies (No matter how much I dislike wolverine, I like the way hugh jackman portrays him quite a bit) . Halle Berry sucks and Storm is certainly not interesting to me. I don't really think I care for any of the x-men except magneto, Professor X, Colossus and Beast now that I think about it.

Average to Decent AFC team is still > Excellent NFC team. It's just how it is. Don't question the way of the nfl. The top 6 seeds in the AFC could wipe out everyone in the NFC with MAYBE the exception of Seattle and Carolina. (The Bears are too terrible on offense to really do anything.)
