HHH did the job tonight to get out of doing it for RVD at ONS. Did anyone else like the way they waited for both HHH and Cena to be in the ring before they did their introductions? It was like a boxing match and made it seem more important.

Why would Bret object to Shawn being there, but be fine dealing with Vince?
-
Not to totally kill the thread, but what would have happened if Bret retained the title at SS and forfeited the next night on RAW? If the whole screw job didn't happen, would that have changed the way people saw Bret today? Did the screw job make him a bigger star than he would have been had it not happened? I'm sure this has been discussed here before, so I appologize for reposting. But I haven't been here that long.

As significant as DX, Austin, and the NWO?

Holy shit! 34 replies and no one has even listed Shelden Williams? That motherfucker doesn't look human.

The OAO RAW Thread for March 20, 2006

His hair does look thicker than usual. -
What did Brian Blair do to cross the Iron Sheik?

Are the people who saw Burchill before coming to WWE, when he was Goldberg-like in that British promotion, now thinking "WTF" when they see him now? It would be like seeing Brock Lesnar in Japan with a caveman gimmick, or something.

What was the biggest crowd pop EVER?
fisticuffs replied to JimmyHendricks's topic in General Wrestling
I was there. I was only 6 years old, so I don't remember much about it, but I was in every North Carolina building that the NWA was in during the 80's. I was part of the crowd reaction. I was in the R&R Express fan club. -
"Pistol" Pez Whatley was an upper-mid carder with NWA in the 80's and was a complete jobber with WWF in the early 90's. He didn't even get an entrance while he was in the WWF. He was the guy standing in the ring as the show came back from commercial.

Goldberg beating Raven to win the US Title isn't the biggest, but it's as big as some that have been mentioned. -
Remember when Goldberg jackhammered that motherfucker? That's 10x more impressive than an F5 or FU.
-
I can't believe they're really sticking Burchill with this lame ass gimmick.
-
Don't they list him as 6'8" ? If they don't now, I'm pretty sure that they used to. Goldberg could be interested in coming in for the good of the company, seeing as how he said he'd be interested if TNA was gonna go hard against Vince.
-
Didn't GoldDust enter twice out of no where? Since the question is supposed to be tricky, that's probably not right.
-
Goldberg's leg bleed when he kicked in the plastic door of HHH's cell in the elimination chamber at 2003 SummerSlam.
-
transition: passage from one state, stage, or subject to another Since Edge won the belt from Cena and then lost it right back to him, what exactly did he transition to, which would warrant him being called a "transitional champion?"

Fuck Mark Henry. Why don't they just let that fat asshole sit at home until his ridiculous contract runs out?

Flair is the fuckin' king on the mic. I don't see how he's not the clear cut #1 to some of you. I also agree with those of you that recognize the genius that is Double A. Some guys that never cut memorable promos but were entertaining: Randy Savage, LOD, Jim Cornette, Rick Rude, Jimmy Valiant.

I saw Flair live every Saturday night in the 80's in Greensboro. I was at the 1st match from the 1st DVD set. I was only, like, 4 years old, but I remember the lights they did on the ceiling. I want to see some of the earliest Flair matches that they can find, just because he was a hoss when he broke into the biz.

Feuds That Could Have Happened But Never Did

Eddy/HBK could have been gold. -
Jericho's WWE debut was one of the most bad ass things that I had ever seen, especially considering that I had no idea what the hell was going on with that millenium countdown. The internet has kinda ruined any returns since then.

I don't like Vince, but I think he looks like the fuckin' man in that picture. Shane looks like he's embarassed by being in such a ridiculous photo shoot. The other 2 do look disturbing as hell, though. Edited to add that Linda looks like the lady from King Pin, only in that lady's role as the mom in Detroit Rock City.

Charlotte / Greenville Tapings (Jan 23 and 24)
fisticuffs replied to cawthon777's topic in The WWE Folder
I go to UNCC and my last class on Monday ends at 4:30, so I might go out there and see what it'll take for me to get in the door. If this were 2 or 3 years ago, I would have bought tix the day they went on sale, but most of my friends don't follow wrestling anymore. We used to go to all the Greensboro and Charlotte shows. -
Terrible main events that ruin otherwise solid cards
fisticuffs replied to spman's topic in General Wrestling
It's already been pointed out, but Hogan/Piper was Halloween Havoc '97. Goldberg/DDP mainevented Havoc '98, and 1/2 of the ppv audience got cut off and WCW had to show the match the next night on Nitro.
