Brock to compete in New Japan
Bruce Blank replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in General Wrestling
Does it matter How I post? Why do you Even care?? And the count is now “2 for assuming I’m a retard” just because my opinion differs from yours Nice one *thumbs up* Now I’ve RE-read your Observer material, just to be up on every little comma – since that seems to be your way of dismissing me. And what do I read? His original contract and his subsequent WWE contract had a standard no compete clause – in his case 1 year though. Which is fine and El Dandy But That’s not the contract in question – so to be fair what the previous contracts said or did not say isn’t really the issue. The issue is what the clause he agreed to said – you know the one he agreed to because he was so sick and tired of wrestling that he’d walk away from a million dollar guarantee. They can argue that it’s unreasonable to restrict him from Japan – except they are shown on TV there and run events so it’s likely geographical reasons would be dismissed as a reason to void the contract, it says that right there in the piece!! Then it goes on about the differences between Georgia and Connecticut legislature – which really only explains why Benoit & Regal could do what they did and not really much about Brock’s chances of getting out of it. It doesn’t say much about them attacking the length of the no compete clause – which I found surprising, I’d have thought it’d be their first avenue of attack. But instead it seems to focus on the somewhat weak definition of “ultimate fighting” and hope to void it through that – even though Lesnar probably doesn’t want to go the MMA route anyway but is looking for a cushy deal with NJPW. See I read, I comprehend Does any of that go against what I’ve said? First I said – since Lesnar signed a no compete clause and Dragon did not, it’s not really the same situation and cannot be used as an argument to dismiss the clause (You implied I’m a retard but nothing posted here indicates that I’m wrong – Ultimo Dragon was not mentioned in the legal mumbo’anda’jumbo at all as a point for Lesnar’s side) Then I said that the clause currently stands – it’s not been nullified or voided or whatever Again – that’s true isn’t it? I stated that the WWE were in a snit over him appearing at a NJPW event – your source material supports that as well. The only point I made that you could be sorta, kinda refuting is me saying that “it was grossly unfair when he signed the clause” – but even that’s a swing and a miss as the source material yaks on about the definition of “Ultimate Fighting” and what not as it’s main point. Yes it stated that in Connetticut a clause COULD be dismissed if deemed unfair – but then spent more time talking about definitions of “Ultimate Fighting” - which is legal loopholery, not proving “unfairness” IMO - So please in the future refrain from implying retardation on my part when you’ve twice been up at bat and twice struck out horrendously. The way I see it – he was dumb enough to sign the deal, he should pay his “stupid fine” Which you may or may not agree with, that’s the beauty of opinions isn’t it? -
Erm I'd be happy to do one for the Hardcore match but I'm not sure exactly what an SWF style "Tale of the tape" is <= n00b
-
Man it'd be cool if someone would put together a sort of Genesis Retrospective video set to "O Fortuna" of course
-
Man I haven't been here long enough to vote on most of this stuff but I'm damn impressed with guys like Pretzler and Zyon still being in the "Rookie" category You can't tell

Brock to compete in New Japan
Bruce Blank replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in General Wrestling
Yeah I know how the legal system works - thank you for assuming I'm a tard' preciate that. But what I'm saying is that Brock SIGNED to get out of the WWE, he has a legal document stating what he can and cannot do Ultimo Dragon did and does not have a document that states that what he can or cannot do. Now you can argue that it's too strict and ya-da-ya-da but the fact is right now it stands, it's not been rejected or nullified or suspended in a court of law. And last time Lesnar appeared in NJPW "as a fan" the WWE started legal actions for him breaking his "no compete" clause (Causing Brock to counter sue) that issue has not been resolved either - nothing has been resolved and until it is he's bound by it. But saying "Oh but Dragon was allowed to compete in Japan" doesn't make this the open and shut case some people imply nor does the "it's grossly unfair to Brock" line it was grossly unfair when he signed it - yet he did, cause wrestling was just so horrible and he couldn't wait to get out of it. I say he made his own bed but now bitches cause he doesn't want to sleep in it. Has it coming as far as I'm concerned he can always go play arena football or the CFL or become a minor B-list celebrity on TV - unless he claims that wrestling is the only think he's able to make money from -
Man I am so psyched! my first SWF PPV and it's the big one no word limit match either - make or break time I'll have to pull out a long one AND a spectacular one, the stip requires it! this will be awesome - and a very solid card! Name for the Skull & Machine team - "Deux Ex Machina", cause Skull is my god and Machine is... a machine
-
OOOOOOOOOOOOH YEAH!! I hope SWF got insurance if not - well too bad this'll be awesomely fun, and funnily awesome all rolled up into one.

The last Smarkdown before Genesis VI: The Undiscovered Country (or alternately Genesis VI: The Final Nightmare if you will – or if you’re more of a Jason fan: Genesis VI: Jason Lives) I've not had time to do a close reading of the matches yet, once I do I'll try and provid a bit more comments. I loved the Landon interview where he says that Megan Skye would turn on Todd and come have sex with him – apparently he’s go no taste and wouldn’t mind having sex with a woman he described as a ”trampy little whore” since he already booked a room for them. So in conclusion – Landon Maddix likes his women NASTY!! Oh and I keep suspecting that I win these matches by no shows though *suspicious* I wonder if that’s actually true or not next show will show as I know JJJ will bring it

Brock to compete in New Japan

no but the judge will know who signed a no compete clause and who didn't Dragon did no such thing Lesnar did so it's not just that easy to dismiss it - or it would have been done by now I'll betcha -
And thank you for calling it "Memphis cheating" - I'm glad it's showing in my writing. Cause I want it to be the low down dirty cheating of a Jerry Lawler or a Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie and so on, and so on and not the more "cheerable" cheating that Eddy does so well. Not that I'm not a HUGE fan of Eddy - I just don't want it to be a rip off of what he does in the WWE. Bruce is a dirty rotten heel with no redeeming factors (well other than he likes Wham, he can't be all bad)

Holy crap I re-read that sucker like 4 times before sending it in and I missed that – erm… wishful thinking?? No there is no real excuse for making that mistake at least 3 times - but at least it proves that someone read it in detail (Yay) And I tried to draw off the super-heavyweight matches I’ve seen in the past to make it a believable match between a guy who’s 295 and one that’s 335 and all, first match I’m 100% happy with Or well – I was until you so rightly pointed out that Walters turned to Williams more than once *cries*

Alright I’ve read what needs to be read and all so let’s go with Smarkdown. Tonight we see Tom Flesher return to the ring and other goodness Turns out Tom uses his power and influence to snag himself the opening segment (ABUSE OF POWER!!) and what’s the first thing this RUDO SUPREME~! does? He intentionally voids the “Cruiserweight rules” for his match with Ced as he gets a little moist You know in some companies getting moist in front of a female employee would be considered sexual harassment But Tom can get away with it cause he is BAD! And he apparently fears Ced under Cruiserweight rules? (well maybe not) In case you had not caught onto this yet SWF this segment reinforced that Tom = Teh Heel!! - Up next Manson shows sings of needing anger management – basically he’s tired of losing and he’s drawn a line in the sand. You’re with him or against him! Ben seems to be against him, but the fans are with him so that’s 1 for either side I’d say. I smell an actual direction for Manson! - Then after 2 segments and the anthem (Man it’s almost too much like Smackdown it’s scary – if Latino Hotness comes out they’ll sue) we get down to bidness – the return of Tom Flesher Who’s loved in Buffalo, which is excusable cause they’re all miserable rotten cheaters there and he most definitely IS home. Dickery and doucebaggery reigns through the match that Tom very, very surprisingly wins!! OMGLOLTHEFUX?? Nice little squash to set up the Spike / Tom match at Genesis. - We’ve got Landon who has managed to get away from JJJ and Jay (4J?) as “Team Unknown” doesn’t need back up for every interview!! Gee what could he talk about? Global warming? Hurricane Katrina?? Todd Cortez? I loved the Landon interview where he says that Megan Skye would turn on Todd and come have sex with him – apparently he’s go no taste and wouldn’t mind having sex with a woman he described as a ”trampy little whore” since he already booked a room for them. So in conclusion – Landon Maddix likes his women NASTY!! And he’s not too fond of Todd either - Next the Manson / Landon feud that started… 3 posts earlier hits it’s boiling point!!! OH YEAHZZ!! Landon sells his ass off as Manson dominates 75% or more of the match, with Landon only really getting sustained momentum in the finishing sequences. Manson is a bad ass!! Talk about putting someone over in defeat, this is text book (if we wrote text books on the subject natch) Thumbs up from me - Bruce extends his win streak to 4 and 0 That’s about all I’ll say about that - Next Jay Hawke makes bad jokes about his Dicks… I mean lawyers, New Orleans and Zyon in general before the previously mentioned Zyon comes out and have a little throw down Escaping the “Wing Span” but not being able to his own finishing move the rookie Zyon looks like he’s on a mega roll leading into Genesis while Jay is on the ropes, frustrated by the hopeful rookie. I am really looking forward to a hell of a match between these two. - ELM interview next as the maskless luchadore runs down Johnny Dangerous, saying he’s still hurting from their match – but will basically hurt Dangerous even worse back. He might even give him a pink belly in the middle of the ring since he’s El Rudo~! Magnifico!! Then ELM talks about how Danny Williams needs to realize his potential and be more like ELM and then he’d be a winner too Although 4 world titles sure spell winner to me A decent build to the match – I just wish there had been more focus on what’ll be the main event of Genesis. - ELM is put through a meat grinder!! His ribs are worked over more or less the entire match and Johnny D controls a huge portion of the match, with the win coming off ELM reversing a move out of the blue for the pinfall. Man his ribs are going to be mush against Danny next show. I wonder if he’ll go the DDP route and sell a RIB injury with bandages around his abdomen and by coughing up blood? (gotta love wrestling logic, bandaging ribs? Sure that helps ) Build well off their previous match, threw in a shot about Dangerous choking in singles matches and gave ELM a win leading into the match with Danny Williams All the right notes are hit – but I wish we had seen some Danny as well on the show to really build the PPV main event up more.

It's SWF's very own version of "he said, she said" isn't it? maybe the involved parties and someone levelheaded from the CC should get together and sort it in private instead of dragging it out here? just think that if anything is ever going to be resolved guys need to talk.

SWF Smarkdown Card for September 12, 2005!
Bruce Blank replied to Ace309's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Well who doesn't have a match booked yet besides you? maybe you can figure out a cool match from that list?? -
where are those hookers you talk off? and if that really is what happened then it's really, REALLY sad (not the new federation with hookers - the other thing, you know the one)

1 word "Dayum"

101 Reasons the SWF Kicks Ass: The Thread
Bruce Blank replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Community/General
102 RAMPANT RULEBREAKING!!! -
didn't Ace say that he had not actually heard anything from Mike and had to mark the Ward/Bruce/TKO match himself? Not that I know what's going on but if it's a beef about how your match Vs their match was judged it'd be better off in a PM or 10? unless that's totally not what you're talking about and... erm... Oh look a kitty *runs off*

SWF Smarkdown Card for September 12, 2005!
Bruce Blank replied to Ace309's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Hey don't sell yourself short there - we broke the TKO streak after all and from the last match you wrote against him it wasn't that far from beating him IMO -
SWF Smarkdown Card for September 12, 2005!
Bruce Blank replied to Ace309's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
In one fed I was in the mute character used a ton of post-its then later he got a legal paper sized white board & marker - of course the white board had a steel center and made for a hell of a weapon during the match too althought I'd like to see serious JJ Johnson tackle a Bruce/JJ match build through dancing - West Side Story Rumble style!!! and a battle of the big men - sweeeeeeeet! -
Haven't had time to closely read all of it - but allow me a HOT DAMN!! and hands up if you were swerved by the mystery partner entrance
-
Well my list wasn't supposed to be comprehensive listing of all masked men but Mankind is another good example of the mask adding to the character. Vader's leather jockstrap always made me giggle a little (the helmet was bad ass though! Not enough steam emitting helmets in wrestling any more)
-
Now THAT is funny I guess I've just got a thing for masks - well at least I can face Ghost Machine and get some "mask psychology" in
-
Well he IS Swedish after all you kinda knew what to expect ahead of time I guess you guys don't want to talk Euro 92 eh? (only Danish football I ever really watched)
-
That's kinda cool - but also ironic I mean how long ago did they bring in Samoa Joe as an "Outsider"? replace outsider with "Overpriced WWE cast off" you've got a gimmick... you just need people desperate enough for a pay day to show up just to get beat up on that note I wonder what Vince Russo is doing these days
