Marvin, what the hell is with LeRon McClain getting more touches than Ray Rice? The guy's talented.
-
Cheech, that's retarded. Retarded.
-
Mik, so wrong. Nicholas Fein is hysterical, Judy Grimes is retarded.

The Things That Anger You Thread.

This kid in my math class was clearly stealing stand up comedy bits from somebody this morning. No idea from whom he was stealing, but his "political satire" was pretty fuckin' rehearsed. -
I'll have to put up a picture of my US Customs shirt soon.

It'll be easier to find a corner outfielder than a second basemen though; if he can field 2nd base he should be the 2nd basemen.
-
For 2009, I'm thinking this: the Mets move Daniel Murphy to 2nd base, where he played quite a bit in the minors; Make a move for somebody like Raul Ibanez, but give Fernando Martinez the opportunity to compete for that Left Field spot. Santana-Pelfrey-Maine are the first three starters in the rotation. Sign one more starter (be it Oliver Perez or otherwise) and then Niese and Parnell can compete for that final spot. As far as the bullpen goes, keep Joe Smith. Everyone else goes. Bring Kunz up. Sign a solid vet, maybe Doug Brocali or something. Parnell or Niese, who ever isn't the 5th starter, they're in the pen. Absolutely should not sign K-Rod, his weirdo motion has 50 million dollar disabled list pay roll spot written all over it.

Jerry Manuel is still NL Manager of the Year, btw.

XM isn't sticking with the WFAN feed so I can hear some closing ceremony stuff. I'm not really angry like I was last year, just sort of upset. I still think Shea deserves my appreciation, and I hope the fans in attendance are great for all that stuff, especially since Citi Field is just going to be a glorified Brooklyn Dodger museum.

The Mets are still breathing.

You kind of suck, ya know that? The Mets started the bottom of the 10th during Game 6 in 1986 down 2 runs, too.
-
I'm following little lines on nfl.com. How did they get the ball back? Surprise onside kick or something?

You know, I think a lot of these Marlins really hate the Mets. Not like, divisional rival hate, I mean I think Mike Jacobs genuinely disdains the New York Mets. Maybe because of all the Met fans who show up in Miami.

I'm getting pretty close to calling Darrelle Revis an elite NFL corner.
-
This is such bullshit. I'm blacked out of TBS' broadcast of the Mets/Marlins game because I live in Florida, but FSN Florida is broadcasting the Rays game. So I don't get to watch the Mets last game at Shea. Blackout rules are fucking retarded. Fuck this. EDIT: You know what, I think I actually prefer listening to this game on radio. I just listened to Howie Rose, who I love, interview Bud Harrelson, who I love.

I don't really see the value in Pythagorean W-L records. I find them very interesting, but I never know what to do with the information.

If Lidge blows this save, I'm going to be so excited. He'll be a nervous wreck the entire postseason. It'll be glorious. EDIT: I'm just unbelievable today.

That right there should be all the proof alkeiper needs.

So hey, Theodore Roosevelt Lilly.
-
If the Mets win out, they'll at least force a one game playoff. The Cubs won't end the season on a 4 game losing streak, the Brewers will lose at least once.

Monkey Man just grounded out 6-3.

Miller Lite, but whatever, this is groundbreaking.
