    3/16 SNL

I legitimately believe Kristen Wiig's "Aunt Linda" character is based on my Aunt Gail.

Milky's cold shoeser quote is my facebook status right now. I kind of want someone to say something because god that's an awesome quote, but at the same time, what the fuck am I supposed to say when someone DOES say something about it.

I've had two area codes in my life, both are represented in that song.

    I haven't thought about this since 1996.

I still doodle this. This and numbers. The margins most of my assignments are covered in these S's and numbers. I kind of wonder what everyone else is doodling.

    Spring Training 2008

John Maine has really been great this spring. 4 innings of no hit ball his last time out, 5 innings so far, no runs three hits, (6k's today, I think 3 last time). I'll never understand why I like guys like John Maine so much. I imagine it's the same reason Mike York used to be my favorite New York Ranger. Kind of bizarre, really.

Does anybody here think they have a really good ear and could maybe identify what chords are being played in a song? I'd really like to know what chords are being played in song, but my ear's not so great. The song is First Sight by These United States by the way.

Writers like Paul Daugherty though? Dusty Baker gets criticism not only because he disagrees with the general stat community, but because his theories generally collide with what other managers are doing in this era. Washington's Manny Acta and Kansas City's Trey Hillman have recently espoused the merits of OBP in interviews. As far as Joe Morgan, he says some silly things because he gets information second hand. He never managed and as a player, he did as much to contribute to winning teams as any player in history. I would point out that most of the criticism of Adam Dunn comes from sportswriters and a certain tenured radio broadcaster. The front office themselves have never seen fit to trade Dunn. Watching what Baker actually does in Cincinnati will be very interesting. I don't have any kind of problem with not liking Dusty Baker as a manager, or Joe Morgan as an announcer. It's just when people puff out their chest and pretend they know more about baseball than these guys. Does that make any sense? Like, I hate Isiah Thomas, but the guy knows more about basketball than I do. I think that sort of makes sense.

Ok, this has to stop. Dusty Baker and Joe Morgan know more about baseball than we do, guys.

No, oh my god, stop it. Whatever games the Seattle Seahawks may have won because Josh Brown was on their roster, they would have won with any other kicker.

    NHL Thread, March 2008

Don't look now, but the Rangers have collected points in 11 straight and are only four points out of first in the Atlantic. What's going to be awesome is that something like their final 8 games are against divisional opponents.

    2008 NFL Draft Thread

Hey, the year is over for half of us. (Actually, I guess this isn't true, because 75% of us are pats fans) You really wouldn't like to have Matt Ryan, Mags? Kellen Clemens is by no means the answer at quarterback. Now the only way I see us landing him is if Kansas City still thinks Brodie Croyle is the way to go. And even then, why would the Falcons pass up on him? Brian Brohm is the next best option, and 6 would be a bit too high to take him. Actually, there's an idea. Trade down, pick up Brohm and then an offensive linemen.

Oh come on, Viginica is funny. Andy saying "I don't even know what that is" was hysterical.

I thought Andy Samberg was really funny last night, especially during the Viginica skit. Honestly though, I liked the Tina Fey episode.

The TSM 2008 NFL Mock Draft

Now that the Jets have Kris Jenkins, Sedrick Ellis was a pretty retarded pick. What Kris Jenkins doesn't do though, is play OT, and Anthony Clement does, and he sucks dick, so the Jets take Carl Nicks, who Bill Callahan coached at Nebraska.

    Spring Training 2008

It's true. The last Met game I attended was the one where Jose Lima pitched and gave up a grand slam to Dontrelle Willis. We won this game though, on a walk-off HBP. Ezekiel Carreras is a BEAST. He robbed someone of a home run in the 9th, but I forget whom.
