Wow this thread is still going, and still full of stupid. Nigger and nigga are not the same thing. And again let me point this out: How come Cena can call people gay as an insult every week and nobody complains, but Vince using the word nigga (which you can find in plenty of popular entertainment) as a joke on Vince himself (trying to be hip but failing miserably) gets a huge response? The people in this thread who were oh so offended - tough. I have no sympathy for most of you because you didn't say a thing when Cena called someone gay or when Long called somebody a cracka. It doesn't matter to you that WWE is offensive, what matters is that this time YOU were offended instead of someone else who you apparently don't care about. That's weak. So my advice is suck it up and stop whining. Or, if you want to be some sort of moral crusader don't be utter hypocrites about it. Where were you when Cena was calling people gay? Laughing right along. You have no credibility (most of you anyway) so give it a rest. Boo hoo you were offended - too bad.

You want to take a shot on the front 3rd of your head, like heading a soccer ball. You don't want to take it on the very top or anywhere near the back, that is where the 3 bones meet. But the font 1/3 of your head (say couple inches above the hairline) is very strong. That's what I would imagine. (I'm no doctor) I liked the Boogeyman...what can I say. Who knows if he will actually be interesting week to week but for a debut it wasn't bad. At least he has a pretty unique look. I liked the little dance/gyration things he did. Now all he has to do is spin his head around 360 degrees or walk down the ramp on 4 limbs facing upwards. Overall not a bad show tonight.

You guys do know that a "broken neck" can mean something as minor as a cracked vertebrate no? That's still bad but it's hardly the end of the world. It's not like his spine snapped in half.

Mickie James Panties Up for Auction
randomguy replied to The Niggardly King's topic in The WWE Folder
"You know in Japan you could buy spoiled panties worn by school girls in vending machines." I've been to Japan recently, I've never seen this. I'm sure you can somewhere but it's not like they are on every street corner. In Japan you can literally buy drinks (including warm drinks like coffee) on basically every single corner. Their vending-machine tech is awesome. But the vending machines that sell panties must be hidden pretty well because I never say anything like that. -
I'm guessing it's Trish Status's common-law wife, Verna. Next week in the Torch: Word is that an upper-rung WWE wrestler's cat has gone missing!

You were doing alright till Argentinian. That's just wrong!

Fo' shnizzle my nizzle! Fo' shnizzle! Nigga please! In all seriousness, 5 years ago I might have seen some small cause for offense here. Random funny fact: The song "Nigga Please" by ODB comes in a clean version. (Same name) This sort of humor is no different than your typical black guy + non-black guy comedy movie. The non-black guy tries to "act black" and looks silly doing it. I don't find that sort of humor very funny but it's not offensive either. Just dumb. How about that movie where Queen Latifah teams up with Michael Keaton or some crap like that, Jackie Chan + Chris Tucker, etc. Non-black guys trying to "act black" has been a gag for decades. What I think is funny is that this thread is now 7 pages long, but Cena can call people gay as an insult every week. Where is the outrage there? Or is it ok to hate on gays? What Vince said was clearly a gag, what Cena says is not. He's supposed to be a face! I would take these complaints a lot more seriously if the attitude wasn't "well, I'm not gay so I don't care, but I'm black so now I'm all upset!!"

The last two episodes have been a lot more enjoyable than the previous few ones. The interactions with Christian and bag-girl were great.

That last spot must have been pretty cool live with real, non-pyro flames and such. It is weird that this thing was on Tuesday night. I hope it really is a test to move it to Tuesdays because it's really hard to catch on Friday nights. (Even I manage to get out on a Friday sometimes)

OH MY GOD IT'S SUNNY, DOINK, THE BOOGEYMAN AND BRET HART!
-
OH MY GOD IT'S VADER! (Just kidding)
-
OH MY GOD IT's TAKER!
-
OH MY GOD IT'S KANE - THE EVIL KANE!

It was clearly poking fun at Vince himself. The point of the joke is that Vince thinks he is one of Booker's homies and can speak to him like a brotha.

Cena has the worst intense/mean face I've ever seen. It's like he's constipated. Cena is awful. He is so amazingly not over now it's not even funny. It doesn't help that in the ring he only uses like 3 moves and they all look silly. He needs to come out next week and do a rap about how everyone in the crowd sucks and is gay.

OK, I was annoyed before when people were saying that Cena was getting boos - but now it really is clear that Cena is not over at all any more. Angle just slammed poor Maria and Cena still got a very lukewarm response. They've done basically everything they can to make Angle look like Hitler and he still has as much support as Cena. It's over for Cena, I don't see what they can do with him now other than turn him heel, or at least have him lose the title and make him the scrappy underdog again. At this point Angle could rape Maria in the center of the ring and still have the same support as Cena.

Orton has not been booked well to become the champ. JBL needed to cheat to win, but he had been built up that way. Orton in recent months has morphed into a guy who needs his dad to help him but *still* hasn't been running over people. He isn't a credible threat with or without his dad. It's really not the WWE's fault, considering that Batista got injured and the next guy in line died. It's hard to book other guys to become champ without the aid of a crystal ball. If I were the WWE what I would do is have someone attack and take out Batista in some backstage thing, someone they want to push as a major heel. Then say that Batista is going to be out of action for a while and have a tournament to determine the champ. If they book this Orton thing right it could still be ok - they just have to make him cheat like hell. Have his dad hit Batista with a bat or something.

Gordon is is a great regular season guy. He basically lost the ALCS two years ago against the Sox. In pressure situations he'll come in, pitch to 3 batters, and end up with a K, a hit and a walk. Or men on 2nd and 3rd with no outs. Even though his numbers are nice he is not a guy you want in the game when it matters. Wang was the Yanks best pitcher last year. Trading him would be crazy. Especially trading him for a position player when their pitching is so suspect. Mussina has been heading downhill for a long time. now he's a 4.5 ERA guy who will give you an occasional gem and an occasional horrendous outing. He's one of the most likely guys in baseball to go out and pitch 7 innings of shutout, then come back the next start and give up 6 runs in the first. The Yankees need a CF (please god not Damon!), a DH (that sounds sad but the DH position was awful last year) and some pitching. Their position players besides CF are pretty good overall, certainly nothing to worry about.

Couple random comments. Bret is a bit but he knows it ias well. So it doesn't both me. Second, I love the fact that he emphasizes realistic matches. That IGN interview has some good stuff about that. We all know wrestling is "fake" but it bugs me when the suspension of disbelief is impossible to maintain. Like in women's matches with Trish when people sit on the turnbuckly then she does her stupid head scissors thing - rule number 1, against Trish don't sit on the turnbuckle! I know that and I'm not the one who has already gotten his ass kicked by that move 3 times.

The "Ewing Theory" is by that guy Simmons at ESPN. He is a comedy writer, not a serious sports writer. This is the same guy that said the Astros were done against the Cards after Pujols hit his 9th inning homer against them. Another brilliant Simmons theory. The guy just plays for laughs. The fact that someone is using his material to make a serious argument is pathetic. The fact is, A-Rod is a better all-around player than Papi. And, without A-Rod the Yankees would have a gaping wound at 3rd base and in the lineup. Without Papi the Red Sox have no problem in the field and about a same-sized hole in the lineup. Hitting dramatic home runs late in games is cool, but runs scored early count just as much. A run is a run no matter what inning it comes in. If a guy isn't playing the field at all he shouldn't win MVP unless he is clearly way ahead of everybody else at the plate. It would probably be harder for the Red Sox to replace Manny than Ortiz. Manny had similar numbers and plays a surprisingly decent outfield. (He makes some awful plays, but he also plays the monster pretty well) Let me put it another way: If Papi went down, A-Rod could fill in for him and the Sox would be about the same. If Papi went down, a Manny clone could fill in for him and the Sox would be about the same. If A-Rod or Manny went down, Papi would not come close to replacing them.

In terms of wrestling this has been a great Raw so far. I guess that's fitting as Eddie always put on an entertaining match. It's nice to see that WWE can put on a show that has good wrestling along with some heart and intellgence. They can do some great stuff when they aren't trying to pander to 13-year-olds. That's really the best tribute of all - just go out and put on some great wrestling. Ha ha Rey just did his little Eddie shuffle.

Mickie James' nickname should be The Living Crotchshot. What was Candice Michelle doing to Ashley at the end there. A hanging upside down head scissors?
-
My question is, which 2 guys do they expect to be voted in. Looks like they are pushing JBL and Rey but you know people are going to vote for Hardy.
-
RAW has been awful the past couple weeks, and The Ultimate Fighter 2 is just a terrible show. None of the guys on it have any charisma, most of the fights suck, there is way too much forced product placement, etc.

Ha ha, ok you are right. I will be fair and say what I didn't like. I saw part of last Saturday's show. When I tuned in there was a huge video package about some type of match where guys hang from ropes while trying to grab an X. (Or something like that) Then we cut to the present and there is a 3-ay "x-division" match about to start. Now, call me crazy but after seeing the *long* video about the X and the ropes I expected a match with ropes and an X. But it's just a normal match. The three guys who were in the match - the only one I remember was the one wearing a purple (?) collar and looking like some S&M reject. The match itself I thought was pretty boring, just one random move after another. I'm not a big fan of 3 way matches in general, and I thought it was pretty par for the course. It's like a threesome, one participant is just left out for a while. In the end some random guys run in and fight or something and the S&M guy wins. (I think) I want to say it was Angel Aries (?) winning by Angel Wings (pedigree with arms pulled back farther - looks painful) Next match is Abyss vs. some guy. Abyss looks to me to be a cross between Kane, Taker and Mankind. He isn't particularly big or imposing. I mean he's big, but he's not like Kane when he had his mask. During the match they promote the PPV about how these guys are going to be locked in separate rooms and not fed - wtf? And people say WWE has some bad writing. The match itself was pretty unspectacular, and his finisher was pretty weak especially for a big guy. I mean a sidewalk slam is a move I could do. (Or maybe not, but whatever) Big imposing monster needs a bigger finishing move. After that I turned it off. The only other TNA I've seen was on TV maybe 6 months ago Scott Hall and Kevin Nash both wearing ponchos to try to cover up how out of shape they've gotten. I've heard the X-division stuff is the best, but the match I saw wasn't interesting at all. One problem is that only the S&M guy had a recognizable look - I can't remember what the other 2 guys looked like *at all.* The match itself was 2 guys fight a bit, one gets knocked down allowing the other 2 guys to fight a bit, etc etc. The Abyss match was just boring, it was like a typical match involving Snitsky. Lots of slapping and chopping and such. Also the ring is way too small. It looks kind of silly and sometimes when a guy is trying to run off the ropes it looks like he has to glance around and figure out the right angle first - it comes off as really unnatural. I will probably give it another shot but it didn't impress at all. I suppose it was better than last week's RAW but I have no problem turning WWE off when it gets boring.
