Where did my 8,000 posts go?

It's like going from Eastern Time Zone to Central where you lose an hour. Actually I masterminded the whole thing. Now I'm a lot closer to catching you in the post count race. Now keep quiet or you'll be at 200 by the time you return from work tomorrow.

If you've pushed him and all that, why in the world would his morale drop all the way to 0? What did/didn't you do?

IWA Mid-South 6/19/04: A Butcher Loose in Highland

Actually,it's more like people had already passed judgement on it before it even started and weren't going to give it a chance at all.

IWA Mid-South 6/19/04: A Butcher Loose in Highland

Why is the guy an idiot for thinking Abby vs Pondo was MOTY? Granted,it probably wasn't ,but for a blood mark, why not? I completely enjoyed it as a fan. Delirious vs Sabin and Hero vs Cannon were the two best matches to me but I thought it was easily the 3rd most entertaining match. I don't get the love for Ito vs Webb in general. It certainly wasn't "deathmatch" style..it was barely hardcore. And being for the Big Japan Deathmatch title, it could have strayed something past scientific. And I don't get the Jimmy Jacobs love at all. Entertaining gimmick....no big deal in the ring to me at all.

    ROH 6/12-Dayton Ohio

My quick thoughts on the show before I drive back .... Joe vs Punk was indeed one of the best matches I've seen live Screw it.I'll save even more time. The four way dance and the opener were pretty much the only matches that did nothing for me. The rest was good to great. Now I have to drive 10 hours.

Hero vs Cannon was really good. The "Let's Go, ...." chants and counterchants are starting to sound really forced now, at least to me. Abby vs Pondo. This is my first time seeing Abdullah live and up close and they had a hellaciously ,fun brawl.I'm not generally a hardcore fan but I really enjoyed that. Delirious vs Sabin was really good as well. The rest was good to decent. Though putting the Big Japan Deathmatch title match and then being nothing but a basic hardcore bout AND trying to follow the craziness that was Pondo and Abby was kinda silly. Webb vs Ito came off a kinda dull in comparison. And MsChif not winning the women's title was not good. But I like Lacey so I'll tolerate it

    Hockey Hall of Fame Inductees

http://sports.yahoo.com/top/news;_ylc=X3oD...ov=ap&type=lgns TORONTO (AP) -- Ray Bourque needed 22 seasons to win a Stanley Cup. His wait to get into the Hockey Hall of Fame was much shorter. Bourque, Paul Coffey and Larry Murphy were elected to the Hall of Fame on Wednesday in their first year of eligibility. Former Calgary and Toronto general manager Cliff Fletcher was chosen for induction in the builders' category by the 18-member selection committee. Bourque, who played 22 NHL seasons, holds career records for defensemen in goals (410), assists (1,169) and points (1,579). The eighth overall pick in the 1979 draft, he won the Calder trophy as the league's top rookie. Bourque won the Norris Trophy as the league's defenseman five times. He helped the Bruins make the playoffs for 17 consecutive years, but Boston only made it to the finals in 1988 and '90. He finally won the Stanley Cup in 2001 with Colorado. ``It's the highest honor,'' Bourque said of being elected. ``I got the call today and I got shivers all over.'' Coffey, the best rushing defenseman since Bobby Orr, is second to Bourque in goals (396), assists (1,135) and points (1,531) by a defenseman. ``When I got the call, I was a little emotional and taken back,'' Coffey said. The sixth overall pick in the 1980 draft by Edmonton, Coffey won the Norris trophy three times. He was a key player on three championship teams in Edmonton and one in Pittsburgh. He holds the NHL record for most goals in a season by a defenseman with 48, surpassing Orr's record in 1985-86. The official induction ceremony is slated for Nov. 8 at the Hall of Fame in Toronto. Murphy is second all-time in games played by a defenseman (1,615) and fifth all-time in points (1,216). He also won a pair of Stanley Cups with the Penguins and two more with the Detroit Red Wings. ``To be added to this group of players is a tremendous honour and something that I'll cherish for the rest of my life,'' he said. Fletcher helped to build the Calgary team that won the Stanley Cup in 1989 and turned the Maple Leafs into contenders in the early 1990s. ``It's more than special for me, going in on the tails of three great defensemen like Ray, Paul and Larry,'' Fletcher said. Among those players who did not receive enough votes for induction were Glenn Anderson, Kevin Lowe, Dino Ciccarelli, Mike Liut and first-year eligibles Kirk McLean, Tony Granato, Marty McSorley, and Esa Tikkanen. Shame about Dino but it's hard to argue three of the best defensemen of their era.

    Nostalgia Trip: Ice Hockey (NES)

And they would look like they went into convulsions while sprawled on the ice amongst the pool of blood. plus 93,it was easy to blast the goalies and push them from in front of the net and into the corner. My roommate and I used to play teammates ...he would clear the path by checking 3 or 4 of the opposition to the ice and then slam the goalie into the corner and I would have an empty net to tap the puck into. Or vice versa. It was good for some laughs anyway while not being particularly ethical.

    Hockey Hall of Fame Inductees

Nah ,Murphy was pretty much a slam dunk HOF guy. 4 Cups and isn't he in the top 5 for defensemen scoring all time? As for Dino, I think he'll eventually get in. He was up against too much competition this year for sure. I think this was his 3rd year of eligibility though. I'm not as sure about Anderson or Tikkanen. I dug Esa but I don't see him being HHOF worthy.

Releasing a relative is worse for morale than releasing a friend. There is a chance Michaels would sit out the rest of a written contract and refuse to work for you again.

Whats your favourite sports memory of all time?

Darren McCarty's highlight Cup clinching goal in 97 and ,subsequently, Steve Yzerman hoisting the Cup for the first time in his career. After being a fan of the Wings since the late 70's, I was teary eyed when he lifted it. And again in 98 when they were able to present the Cup to Vladimir Konstantinov.

Sadly, I can't make it to the women's tourney. Did I hear correctly that Matt Sydal broke his wrist? And is Abby still coming in for the 19th of June?

  19. As in their stats and finishers and stuff? I did a while back but I probably overexaggerated the stats on most of them because I'm biased In the roster update that I last got, there are about a dozen GCW wrestlers on the EWR game now.

Missy Hyatt arrested for drunken incident

So instead of being at the celebrity event I went to near St Louis (she was originally billed as one of the wrestling personalities to be there) , she was in Florida getting drunk and trying to bust into shows? I wonder if that's where Larry Zybysko, Abdullah and Butch Reed were too....

Sting says he'd like to work for wwe

I have never understood the Sting fascination. A decent/ good wrestler but nothing particularly special in any area of talent. He just had a bit more charisma than any of the other faces in NWA/WCW in the late 80's/ early 90's and people just seemed to latch onto him. And Mike SC is right. He hasn't done anything worth mentioning in my eyes since Vader a decade ago. I don't want to see him in WWE at all.

Big Match Announced for 5/30 IWA Show

I would hope they are smart enough to realize they probably weren't going to fill the building with a women's tourney and some incidental men's matches. Besides, it seems like they said right from the start, that it wasn't going to be an all women's show. The Survival of the Stiffest match will get more people in the door. Then it's up to the women to try to impress. From everything I've been told, Dave Prazak's goal is to make a credible and competitive women's division in IWA-MS. The 6 man match will steal some of the thunder from the women's tourney but I don't think it will completely overshadow it. I'd be going if not for a pending vacation and car insurance and I can't spare a Chicago road trip on top of that.

I'm planning on going while on my way to Michigan for vacation. It's a bit out of the way but not that bad. Then I'm gonna hit Highland for IWA-MS the weekend after that on the way back to Missouri. Unless Youth N Asia goes to IWA with me. Then we have to drive back to Michigan and then I'll just extend my vacation a couple days.

Who is your teams greatest player of all time?

Gordie Howe is generally recognized as the greatest Detroit Red Wing ever. Terry Sawchuk and Steve Yzerman would probably round out the top three.
