He and MsChif came into GCW on the same show as heels in July of 2001. They didn't team on that show but I believe they came in as a team dubbed Diabolic Khaos. MsChif did all the talking while Delirious basically uttered noises. The random inserting of phrases really didn't seem to start until maybe about a year ago when he started saying things like "Louis Gossett,Jr" for no apparent reason. He was voted St Louis Wrestler of the Year for 2002 and 2003. He never really turned full face in GCW but got a lot of cheers because of his ring style and his entertaining gimmick. In fact, I can only really remember one blatantly heelish thing he did. He used a spike on Matt's knee to weaken it at one of the Adult's Only shows. Well, and he would interfere on MsChif's behalf. And I finished going through the GCW TV early this morning so I hope to start on your tapes sometime this weekend. As for a quote regarding Matt...... "Weaknesses: He literally reeks of "babyface", and if he ever turns heel in IWA, ROH, or Wildside, I think he'd have to do a hell of a lot to get the crowd against him...and that's just about it." I kinda thought they might try to turn Matt heel in GCW when he started getting booked elsewhere in the country. Then he could have come back as this cocky, little snotty " I'm a big star" guy. But they didn't. And his style would have kept most of the crowd on his side anyway probably.

I've bought Tropical Pleasure, Undressed and Desert Heat. There are a couple decent extras on all of them but I think the only one I've watched more than once is Undressed. Lawler, in that element, was pretty funny I thought. It's him clogging up Raw that's really annoying.

So TNA got rid of one group of fans and replaced them with a manufactured group of fans led by a local radio personality? I'm reading that right?

I wanted Abdullah to lumber down the ramp when they were doing the bounty angle last year so much. And if Randy Orton hit the RKO on Jimmy Valiant, I think Valiant would explode into dust upon contact with the ground.

I'm a big fan of Delirious and Daizee but there is no reason I want to go to Kansas.

I got to see a lot of Ekman with the Detroit Vipers in the IHL and the guy had talent but I wondered if he was ever really gonna get the chance in the NHL. Then he breaks out with over 20 goals and I think he was in the league's top 10 in +/- and was second on the Sharks in scoring. Yeah I would have liked a Selke nomination too.

Kate Bush is a guilty pleasure? I like a lot of her work,especially her earlier records. Mine, I guess, would be Kate Bush, the Waitresses and Melissa Etheridge. Those are the first three that come to mind. I wouldn't even call them guilty pleasures...more like "less generally accepted" I suppose.

New bitching It's time for Sean Vincent to be more than just a bitch for Heart Attack Jack and trainees. The guy is one of,if not, the most over heels on the roster. He was voted best heel for 2003. I think he's more than paid his dues for some of the crazy shit they've had him do. Sometime this year,he deserves a push at Twist.

I generally liked Styles but then the "Ohhhh My Goddd" stuff became cliched and he overdid it. I hated Callis in the booth with him though. All Callis did was add "Tremendous,Joey Styles!"" to the announcing and say shit to irritate Styles. Every time Callis would begin a ppv by removing Gertner, I would cringe because I knew the announcing went right down the fucking toilet for that show.

I don't really follow IWA yet. I just started getting into it because of the ex-Gateway wrestlers but I'm confused on one thing. If Danny Daniels beat Chris Hero in a "loser leaves IWA-MS" stip match in January,why is Hero back after about 2 1/2 months? And wouldn't Daniels be a little pissed?

The Sharks aren't my main team but I certainly hope they beat Colorado. And I'm a big Nils Ekman fan.

The more I think about it ,the more the "Mick Danger" thing annoys me. They've lost all this good talent the last 6-8 months.....they bring back one of them. A very popular and charismatic wrestler who's been with them for most of their existence. Someone who could get some interest back in the promotion and return to the main events. So instead of the return of Billy McNeil,we get Mick Danger. And if you weren't at the show he came back or happen to read the recap on the site......you have no idea that it's Billy McNeil. It strikes me as being very dumb. Plus the name just sucks anyways. It sounds like a video game character or a detective in a porn film or something.

Matt and Delirious go all the way to St Paul and get 6 1/2 minutes? Bah.

This guy had bought a display model refridgerator from where I used to work. As we are getting ready to take the fridge outside to load into his truck.......he's walking all around the it and pointing out little dings in it. But he still wants it. So I take it outside and we're standing there waiting for his friend to back the truck up to load it into. His friend, tailgate of the truck down, drives backwards and bumps the tailgate straight into the refridgerator door. The guy's jaw dropped and it was everything I could do to hold back busting out laughing. But once back in the store, the hilarity commenced

I think you're right about Sydal/Delirious. There was talk about it at the IWA show. I won't say who though.

He was my first true favorite indy wrestler. He used to work the Detroit area all the time in the later 90's (96-98 or so). He and Steve Nixon had a couple of excellent matches in Great Lakes Wrestling and was one of the key figures in the East Coast Invasion angle in the Northern States Wrestling Alliance. He was always entertaining,be it in the ring or on the mic. And he and Don Montoya,especially, were very cool guys to talk to. Back then, I had been hyping him hard on the net and told him that at a show. And he responded by calling me by my name. Guess I was the only one hyping him He doesn't wrestle under the name Reckless Youth anymore,which is probably why you don't see his name recently. Tom Carter.

Highland was a very good show. Well worth the long drive to see it. The Hero vs B-Boy match. While it was a good match, I think it was a lot to expect to throw a 2 out of 3 falls match with an hour time limit in at 11:45 at night. I know I was beginning to get burnt out and it seemed to take some of the steam out of the crowd too. And I don't know exactly how long it went,but it sure seemed like most of that hour got used up. Plus it ran so long, they rushed the Corp. Robinson vs Wifebeater match into what seemed like 3 tables in about 5 minutes just to get the show over with. THAT is why they were chanting "Bullshit." And I was told Lynn hurt his back and not his knee.

Son of a bitch. You mean to tell me that I don't get Lynn vs Delirious for the IWA title tonight..........this is gonna be an annoyed 6 hour drive.

How did the gimmick come across on tv? At the house show I saw, Eugene came across as more of a fun- loving goof than retarded. Going all the way around the ring slapping hands..going into the crowd and sitting down during the 'criss cross running the ropes' spot..the 'switching hands during the test of strength'. It screamed early NWA Rick Steiner mostly. It's not a career killer gimmick necessarily. The previously mentioned Rick Steiner evolved. Buh Buh Ray Dudley's stuttering goof character completely changed.
