    WWE Signs Tatanka

Considering Tatanka wasn't that good in his prime, I don't see the point of re-signing him 10 years later. Screw it, it's not my money.

    IWA-MS 8/19 matches...Necro vs. Homicide!

Ian just got off the phone with Homicide. Homicide has double-booked himself ,taking IWA's booking after commiting to work JAPW. He has apoligized to Ian and IWA. We will try to announce a suitable replacement in the next day or two for NecroButcher to face on the 19th. Ian wanted this on the board as soon as he found out. But Homicide will be returning soon in the TPI , if not before then. www.iwamidsouthwrestling.com Does anyone else think that if TPI doesn't do up to expectations that Ian might be ready to do in IWA-MS? I keep getting the feeling that losing Highland and then losing Prazak , who seemed to be one of the backbones of the promotion, and the attendance figures are really going to add up to a lot of frustration. Plus, with using fewer name people on the shows, I would imagine that will eventually cut into their tape /dvd sales which seemed to be what was holding them afloat financially. I'm starting to get this weird feeling that the 9th anniversary show might be the last anniversary show we'll see out of IWA Mid-South.

    IWA Takes HUGE Blow

What I've been told is that Whitmer didn't have a problem losing to the Iron Saints but he wanted it to be a DQ or CO loss as opposed to the pinfall loss that Ian wanted. Since ROH is Whitmer's main payday, he thought it would make their team and the ROH tag titles look weak so BJ was kinda trying to protect his spot in ROH. As for some of the rest, I was told BJ was fired. Ian claims otherwise obviously. Prazak, Daniels, Bradley and Harvey apparently didn't appreciate that Ian, allegedly , put Whitmer in a position where he had to compromise his ROH status and then fired him ......so they quit in protest I guess. Or maybe it was just the final straw in something that has been building. As for Whitmer, I see him as a Greg Valentine type wrestler. Not flashy but very solid and kinda underrated.

    The Official NHL Offseason Thread

They bought out D Mac? Man, I thought he was set for life in Detroit. He was like a folk hero there. Maybe not at Bob Probert levels but up there.

    Rest In Peace

I always thought he was a completely underrated color commentator. Some of his stuff from the house shows that used to air on Tuesday Night Titans was very good. His work suffered when he became more of a "character" than just a commentator. Some of the comedy stuff was amusing too. RIP Lord Alfred

I hope Punk escapes with the title till at least the midwest doubleshot. The Chicago match (whomever it's with) will be an epic. And I love the idea of the Carnage Crew with the tag belts. I hope they are ready to surprise some people because a good chunk of the ROH board is annoyed/ pissed that they won the belts.

    IWA-MS results 7/2 Valparaiso

IWA Mid-South Wrestling, in association with NWA Midwest, presented "No Blood, No Guts, No Glory 2005" at the National Guard Armory in Valparaiso, IN on Saturday night, 7/2. Here's what went down... The FANNIN FAMILY pulled up to the building in a limousine just as the line of fans was about to file in. BRANDON THOMASELLI was out talking to some of the fans in line and was jumped by Fannin's men, which put him on the sidelines for War Games later in the night. IAN ROTTEN opened the show by announcing that he had already made plans for a backup member of his team, due to MARK WOLF turning on him Friday night in Salem, injuring Ian's wrist. He said he'd wrestle injured, and his backup plan, 2004 King of the Death Matches CORPORAL ROBINSON, would take Brandon's place in the match. 1. "Double C" CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI def. TJ DALTON in the opening contest. 2. MICKIE KNUCKLES def. RAIN & DAIZEE HAZE in a three-way match to retain the IWA Women's Title after hitting the Shining Kawada Kick on Rain. 3. DANNY DANIELS def. "CK3" CONRAD KENNEDY III with a piledriver. 4. TANK def. EDDIE KINGSTON & CHRIS HERO in a three-way match to earn the advantage for Team NWA in the War Games later in the night. 5. JOSH ABERCROMBIE def. TYLER BLACK & MAREK BRAVE in a three-way match following the Phoenix Splash to retain the IWA Light Heavyweight Title. 6. DELIRIOUS wrestled CM PUNK to a sixty minute time limit draw. The match saw more craziness, tomfoolery, and shenanigans than any of their previous bouts, including a female Delirious emerging from under the ring, as well as one of the Golden Vampires. Post-match, several members of IWA-MS said farewell to Punk on the mic, and Punk gave his parting words to the IWA-MS fans. 7. TRIK DAVIS & BRAD BRADLEY def. "Pomp & Circumstance" ACE ROCKWELL & SHAUN TEMPERS in a tag team match. 8. JIMMY JACOBS def. MATT SYDAL to retain the IWA World Heavyweight Title after clocking Sydal in the head with the heel of one of his dress shoes (Jacobs wrestled the match in a suit) and then hitting the Contra Code. 9. "Team Ian" IAN ROTTEN & AXL ROTTEN & CHRIS HERO & CORPORAL ROBINSON & BULL PAIN def. "Team Fannin" BJ WHITMER & EDDIE KINGSTON & MARK WOLF & JC BAILEY & STEVE STONE and "Team NWA" ERIC PRIEST & CHANDLER McCLURE & VITO THOMASELLI & SAL THOMASELLI & TANK in a double ring, double cage, three team War Games match. The NWA team was eliminated first when Tank tapped out to a double leg submission applied by both Hero and Ian. Fannin's team was eliminated when several team members were all caught in submission holds on different sides of the cage by opposing team members, and Kingston tapped out to Hero's Hangman's Clutch. Moments earlier, JC Bailey turned on Fannin's team and chairshotted Eddie Kingston. Post-match, Ian thanked JC Bailey for making the right decision for his career path, and also thanked the fans for making IWA-MS what it is today. Ian then extended the invitation for Jim Fannin to stay on in IWA-MS from the business end of things. Fannin agreed, and said his managerial career has come to a conclusion, and he will do everything possible to help Ian make IWA-MS successful. The event was filmed by Smart Mark Video for home video release, with commentary by Dave Prazak, Trik Davis, Danny Daniels, and Mickie Knuckles. A special four camera setup was used to shoot the War Games match. Look for extensive image galleries from both the Valpo and Salem shows to be posted late Sunday on the IWA-MS message board. IWA-MS returns to action next weekend, with an event on Friday, 7/8 in Muscatine, IA, and Saturday, 7/9 in Hammond, IN. www.iwamidsouthwrestling.com Sounds awesome. I ended up not being able to go to Salem the night before because my radiator needs replacing. I hope they gets this out on dvd as quickly as the Philly show came out.

    IWA-MS results 7/2 Valparaiso

Yeah I dig Fannin as a manager. Jade replacing him will be good but a completely different dyanmic. I am soooo far behind on IWA. My last new stuff is the Feb shows. I need one big SMV order to get near caught up. Hopefully this month or early next month.

Who's going to any WWE shows this summer?

I saw something in the RAW magazine yesterday about shows in Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky in a couple weekends. I might go over there for one of them.
  20. They did it with ECW back in 97. They did it with SMW I think too. Dangerous A is right. As long as ROH doesn't carve into his spot in the wrestling world, Vince probably doesn't mind them. I could even see Vince trying to do something with ROH to bring in part of their fanbase....as crazy as that sounds.
  21. Vince might not always know what the fans want but I'd be shocked if he , at least, didn't have people who kept him aware of the indy scene in the US. I would guess he's known about ROH for a while.

Who deserves to be a World Champion but never has

I can't really think of anybody active who hasn't been a world champ that would really deserve to be. Maybe Van Dam. He was the first one that came to mind anyway. I feel like I'm forgetting someone though.

Chris Candido I would really have liked to see how far his comeback would have taken him.

I started watching this show after it had gone into syndication. I think TNT used to run it for a while. Anyway, I liked it quite a bit. Didn't get to catch very much of the last year or two of it though. This is one of the few tv dvd sets I might pick up.
