The Flyers and the Red Wings were my two favorite hockey teams when I was younger. I began to dislike the Flyers during the Lindros era.....partially because of him and partly Bobby Clarke. I still don't like them much because of ESPN's east coast fawning over them and the Rangers but the feeling has lessened. I never liked the Rangers much anyway so I guess they wouldn't count.

Quite the weekend for Daizee Haze.

The local Toys R Us had the Hart Foundation and Rockers two packs a couple months ago. I would have bought the HF but I had just bought the Bret single about a week before and I didn't have a great deal of money to spare on me. I don't know what happened but the Wal Marts around here have dried up on some of the wrestling figure ....especially the classic ones. And the Toys R Us has been almost completely bare of wrestlers for at least a month.

Sweet. Daizee wins her first title. If I hadn't had a wedding rehearsal I'd have drove up for this show. Did they announce the return date for March?

They raised the fees to run a show in the state a couple years ago which drove a couple small promotions in the bootheel area over to west Tennessee and northeast Arkansas. Now this.

What were the other two hits? Didn't they sing "All You Ever Think About Is Sex"? and one other song from around the same time period that I can't remember the name of. It seems like I even saw them as the opening act for somebody way back then too.

Isn't Christy the chick with the forehead the size of a billboard? Anyway, Stacy, Lacey and Becky are pretty easy on the eyes. There's more that are attractive though.

Can anybody point me in the direction of where to pick up some older OVW tapes? Their site doesn't seem to have a very big catalogue of tapes to pick from.

I'm watching the Royal Rumble...Natural Born Killas hits and New Jack runs to the ring with the can o' weapons= one of the greatest Rumble moments ever.

Holy shit..everyone thought they were about to see a huge upset and Joe pulled the shoulder up and the crowd went nuts. I may throw the dvd in now.

Between buying two dozen Gateway Championship Wrestling tapes, the ROH sale and the pending IWA-MS double shot next weekend dvd buy, I'm gonna be burned out. But I picked up the DVDs of Cornette Secrets ,Testing the Limit , DBD2 pt 2, World Title Classic and ....damn...something else from July that I'm blanking on. Reborn: Completion

Watching it live, all I kept thinking early on in the match was that it was way to choreographed. It looked cute just for the sake of being so. Then it got better.

So far I have Warrior from the first series (and hopefully will eventually get an Andre). Two: Steele, Studd, Slaughter Three:DiBiase ,Hart, Roberts, Snuka and the Road Warriors tag pack. Even though, I just got Bret recently, that Hart Foundation two pack looks to cool to pass up. I may eventually get Mankind and Flair too.

I'm going to the Cape show Saturday. There's quite a few new and missing faces. Here's the lineups for this weekend (stolen from gatewaywrestling.com) First off, on Friday, November 12th, Gateway Championship Wrestling will return to the Wild Acres Gym(2500 Ashby Rd.) in Overland, Missouri for "Repercussions"! After the events of last month's Overland show, Commissioner Keith Smith has vowed to take a more hands-on approach to dealing with rulebreaking...and you can be sure that those who do wrong in Killer Keith's eyes will pay for it! GCW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH CHAZ WESSON© VS. DINGO These two have plenty of history with each other...Dingo is a former Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion, and at the Overland show back in May, he took then-champion Kory Twist to the limit! Of course, Chaz isn't about to let go of the gold that easily, so you can expect an all-our war in Overland! STEVE SHARP & BIG BAD BEN VS. THUG INC.(KEVIN X & D'MON G) At "We're Back In Business", we discovered that perhaps blood isn't thicker than water, as Kevin X turned his back on his own brother Steve! Triple B helped Steve Sharp fight off the two-on-one attack, and in Overland on November 12th, the odds will be evened up in this grudge tag team matchup! TRAINEE #15 VS. RICHARD HEAD Commissioner Keith Smith showed little patience for the "Head Official"'s partisan officiating at the last show...after Head cost the trainee a match to Super Castaldi VII, Keith ordered Head to face Trainee #15 in a match...with his job on the line! If the trainee can come out on top, Dick, er, RICHARD will be fired! MICHAEL STRIDER VS. #1 BRETT YOUNG Two of the hardest-hitting competitors in the Midwest will square off once again in Overland on 11/12! Strider came out on top in their matchup in Cape back in May...will he make it 2-0? Both men will be making their Overland debuts on the 12th! KORY TWIST & JYNX VS. D.N.S.(JIMMY CHARISMA & MELVIN TALENT) D.N.S. is looking to rebound from their loss to Cabal & Rat Boy last month...but they'll have a tough task ahead of them against the former GCW Heavyweight Champion Twist and his partner Jynx! This will be the first time that Twist and Jynx have joined forces...will the team experience of D.N.S. be the deciding factor? CABAL VS. The signing of this match raises another question: Is the ban on intergender matches on the verge of being lifted? Head and his mentor, GCW Light Heavyweight Champion Sean Vincent, have been outspoken about their disdain for women's wrestling...and it looks like they may have to eat their words very soon! ----- On top of that, GCW will be making its first appearance in a year and a half at North County Tech High School(1700 Derhake Rd.) in Florissant, Missouri on Friday, November 19th! New Jack, freed from prison/making bail in Jacksonville earlier in the day, did an expletive-laced diatribe over the whole situation, really laying into the Florida promoter, his opponent and, for some reason, David Young. Jack resigned himself to the fact that he'll probably end up in prison for a 12-year stretch over this match. Jeremy V and Todd Sexton fought to a 15 minute time limit draw. Jeremy retains the TV title. Vito, Sal & Junior (Brandon) Thomaselli beat Salvatore Rinauro, Seth Delay & Fast Eddie Jason Cross beat Altar Boy Luke to retain the Wildside Heavyweight Title. Luke must now leave Wildside. Onyx beat Tony Stradlin. Gabriel beat Caprice Coleman and Ray Gordy in a 3-way for #1 TV Title contendership. Daizee Haze beat Zero X. Slim J beat Delirious & Jay Fury & Nick Halen in a 4-way for #1 Jr. Heavyweight Title contendership. Rainman & Azrael retained the tag titles over Iceberg & Tank in a 4 Corners of Pain match with all weapons legal. A violent gorefest that has to be seen to be believed.

"Yeah I thought of MsChif, but I think people would see her as a Victoria clone" How so? They don't really have a similar look or character. As for Daizee, she has this Ricky Morton-esque quality to her. She reeks of cute babyface that can sell and has some flashy offense at times. I just wonder if she's so small that WWE would ever really take a serious look at her.

I'm fairly sure Candido and Storm were ECW tag champs for a while and then split and feuded so they did work together for some time.
