speaking of Shoot the Sky, I've just laid quite the challenge down with that new high score.

just when you think the Celts couldn't further piss off their fans... We accept they're not competitive this season and start to salivate over getting one of the top 2 picks, and then what do they do? String together 3 wins in a row. Seriously, give Pierce the rest of the season off.

more via rotoworld - The Rams have reportedly signed Drew Bennett to a six-year deal that will pay him $4.5 million-per-season. - The Patriots have reportedly reached agreement on a contract with former Dolphins running back Sammy Morris. (Dillon's replacement) - The Patriots are expected to "court" restricted free agent Wes Welker. Welker, who caught 67 passes in 2006, could take a load off Laurence Maroney in the return game and provide New England with a nice speed-possession target in the slot. He'll cost a second-round pick if signed. - Chargers agreed to terms with G Kris Dielman on a six-year contract. - Bucs acquired quarterback Jake Plummer from the Broncos in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. The Bucs will sit on Plummer's rights and hope he changes his mind about retirement, then possibly trade him to Houston closer to the draft. Tampa currently has six QBs under contract: Jeff Garcia, Plummer, Luke McCown, Bruce Eugene, Bruce Gradkowski, and Chris Simms, and is in a comfortable place to make a move if he decides to come back. The conditions of the pick are likely based on if and how much Plummer plays for the Bucs this year. with the Plummer deal they probably meant conditional pick in 08 since he can't do anything to meet any conditions during the off-season.

I thought they could have gotten two more good years out of it. Its certainly a TV-on-DVD series I have an eye on grabbing after I get out of bootcamp and settled in. the episode Porter was talking about was titled "Steroids to Heaven".

via rotoworld - Free agent Dominic Rhodes will take a physical with the Giants on Friday. (I'm sure the site meant Saturday) Rhodes' plane was briefly delayed by weather but he touched down in New York last night. The Giants are set to make a big push to sign him. - The Patriots have reportedly signed TE Kyle Brady to a two-year, $5.3 million contract. Brady is believed to have received $2 million to sign. Also included is a $1.2 million 2007 salary and $100,000 roster bonus. In 2008, Brady gets $2 million in base pay. He's already passed a physical, according to his agent, so the deal should be announced early Saturday. Giants evidently get their running back and the Pats have replaced Dan Graham's blocking ability at the TE position. I'm not saying Kyle Brady is as good a blocker as Graham but he's not far off...only thing is he isn't a good reciever so when he's in there defenses will know its mainly to block and thus the play is most likely a run. David Thomas is suppose to be progressing well with his blocking though so I could see this just being a one year deal in the long run.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The 20 Greatest Threads in TSM History
Failed Bridge replied to Star Ocean 3's topic in No Holds Barred
KingPK should still be ashamed of himself for deleting the thread "Sound the Alarms". -
Link If true then this is as big, if not bigger then the Colvin signing of 03. Thomas can play both inside and outside linebacker along with being able to play defensive end. This will allow the Pats to go from 3-4 to 4-3 when situations dictate without missing a beat.

via rotoworld - Redskins signed linebacker London Fletcher-Baker to a five-year, $25 million contract. The deal includes a $10.5 million signing bonus and pays Fletcher $12.5 million over the first two seasons.

another site basically confirming it Link And Adam Schefter is reporting Nate Clements has signed with the 49ers at 8 years $80mill with $22mill guarenteed. -
listening to an interview conducted on WEEI this morning where the guest was Adam Schefter. He's saying that from everything he's heard around the league that Adalius Thomas will be a New England Patriot within the next 24-48hrs. Says Joey Porter will most likely end up in Cinci

just got back from seeing it and quite frankly it wasn't a bad movie. Starts out a little slow but as far as down to earth dramas go its not a bad film. Bruce Willis is also in it for about 20min here and there. Its an alright date movie (that's what I used it for) and I was surprised that she and I were the only ones in the theater. There's not a whole ton out at the theaters right now so if you have the urge to go see a movie then check this out, if not then it'll be a perfectly fine rental.

I find the music in that to be extremely relaxing. Last I checked nobody was even trying to challenge me in Centipede.

just a tragic story here. Story taken from ESPN.com

via rotoworld - ESPN Radio reports that the Broncos have agreed to a deal with Daniel Graham on a deal that includes a $10 million signing bonus. Sad to see him go as he was a classy guy and just went out and did his job. It is however alot to pay for a TE that's primary use is blocking.

I'd like to see Daniel Bard develop one good breaking pitch so he could be a closer in the future.

and I believe that area was just hit by tornados recently as well.

Bly has made 2 pro-bowl teams in his career from what I read and those came in the 04 and 05 Pro Bowls. With his speed diminishing and his ability to tackle also starting to go downhill I think it was a fair value trade. Denver filled a need in the short-term created by the untimely death of Darrent Williams while Detroit grabbed a back that can give them some carries until Kevin Jones gets healthy, a former first round OT that may work in a different scheme (remember, Shannahan's blocking schemes are some of the most complex in the league. Not everybody can do it), and a 5th round pick in a year that has a very deep draft as far as the middle rounds go.

Cowboys release Drew Bledsoe and I suspect he'll just retire now. Vikings released Fred Smoot

Michael Young gets a 5 year $80mill extension. Why the Rangers chose to hand that extension out when Mark Texiera is getting closer to free agency is beyond me.

Steelers cut Joey Porter, Chargers released Keenan McCardell, and The Saints cut Joe Horn but hope to resign him at a cheaper price tag.
