that's what they said about the Red Sox, and yet the new owners just keep renovating different parts each off-season. Its not a given that Wrigley will be torn down and replaced, especially if the new owners realise the emotional attatchment that the fans have to that ballpark.

If some team were to sign Samuel then they've said they're considering moving Eugene Wilson back to his natural position of CB (since he seems to get injured too easily playing the safety position). If they lost Samuel then I think they could grab at least a couple out of the group of Jarvis Moss, LeRon Landry, Patrick Willis, and possibly Dwayne Bowe.

I'm sick of CheesalaIsGood having that username. Its blatantly obvious that he's anything but good. How about CheesalaIsCronoTesque?

    Scorsese's THE DEPARTED

I'm hoping that The Good Sheppard will be out on DVD by the time I get back from bootcamp. I heard it was even better than this.

    Scorsese's THE DEPARTED

I didn't like the ending too much. Too many people get whacked...although I was all for Anthony Anderson getting one between the eyes. He should have never had a career beyond the TeeNBC series Hoop Dreams.

Pats put their franchise tag on Asante Samuel while the Bears did the same with Lance Briggs. I hope a stupid team like Atlanta goes and signs Samuel. I wouldn't mind seeing the Pats with 3 first rounders, one of which is a top ten pick.

    95. So, in 12 months I'll be married.

Congrats. I just hope this ends up finally giving you reason to constantly be happy. You deserve to be.

    94. NFL HOF Profiles: Michael Irvin.

supposedly ESPN is thinking of cutting ties with him. They consider him a "ticking time bomb".

If it hasn't been torn down then they should put some tax dollars into maintaining it and open it up to the public as a Historical Landmark.

I believe they already blocked off the view of the people across the street with some form of dark mesh fencing. I can't see the Cubs playing anywhere else. I like Comerica Park but it still doesn't feel right to not have the Tigers playing in old Tiger Stadium (which I believe was torn down last year or is about to be torn down). I don't like the whole new Yankee Stadium thing either. I'd be a happy man to never see Wrigley, Fenway, Yankee Stadium, Skydome, or Kauffman Stadium ever closed in my lifetime. Those stadiums are the best in the league as far as I'm concerned.

Have you met the people that spend their lives playing this? You don't need to worry about them updating you on the outside world.

    TSM Writers....

I always enjoyed reading Al's baseball stuff and Tom's football stuff. I still say Al should be writing for the ESPN baseball page.

    Dr. Tom is 33 today?

I always expected Tom to be some tall-lanky guy with a resemblance to Michael Douglas' character in the movie Falling Down.

I went to bed at 10pm. I try not to stay up much later than that now so I can get up early (as I have to start getting use to that). So while I didn't have a life I couldn't keep you company. I hope you understand. Oh, and I probably won't be around this up-coming Friday. Going to see Ghost Rider with that girl I like.

Skies of Arcadia is an RPG I kept forgetting to purchase. I'll pick it up one day

    Finally a good day

Need one to get back and forth to the recruit station. Not to mention I'm now in the middle of nowhere and need to be able to go out and get my own groceries and stuff. The fax hasn't come back with which job I'll be able to do out of the three I chose. My three choices in order though were; Military Police, Fire and Rescue, and Legal Services. I'll list some of the shit later on. At the moment I'm about to head out down to that gym.

    Finally a good day

After all the shit I've been through in the past month I'm finally having a superb day. First off I passed my road test and got my driver's liscense. Second off I just put a down payment on a 1991 Z71 Silverado that is in near mint condition. It has 4 new tires, new transmission, new brakes, and a new CD player/stereo system. Third I just called Planet Fitness (as its just down the street) and asked them what they had in one month memberships since I ship out to bootcamp in 17 days. They told me that if I bring down paperwork that says I'm leaving for the military then they'll give me 14 free days. All in all a very good day.

    Your Ideal MLB line-up

Sportsnation is running a poll here asking what players they would place where in their ideal line-up. I thought it would be a good thing to discuss in even further detail with everybody making their own line-up and explaining why they have who they have where they have them. We'll use the DH in constructing our line-ups and don't worry about defense at the position. 1.) RF Ichiro Suzuki - Sure, he isn't what he was 3 years ago but there haven't been many players in the league who are. I take him in the lead-off hole for the pure fact that this is a guy that rarely strikes out and sees a ton of pitches. I also like the fact that he can force the defense into making errors with his speed and often turns what should be an easy groundball out into a double via his speed (beating the throw and then often times stealing second). 2.) SS Derek Jeter - I may hate the Yankees but I respect what Jeter brings to the plate. Possibly the best hitter I've ever seen when it comes to inside-outting a pitch. Great ability to go to the opposite field which gives a speedy lead-off man a good shot of going first to third. Jeter also has the ability to steal himself a base when need be. 3.) DH David Ortiz - Great power to all fields, very good plate discipline, and always finds a way to come through in the clutch. Nobody else I would want in this spot as I've watched him come through time and time again in it for 3 years now (I realise he's had four seasons in Boston but his first was spent mainly in the 5 hole). 4.) 1B Albert Pujols - You could flip a coin between he and Ryan Howard at this point but I'll stick with Pujols. I don't think there's a hitter that any pitcher would rather not see with the bases loaded. An absolute machine when it comes to driving in runs. 5.) LF Manny Ramirez - Another OPS monster like Pujols. He's averaged 42 homers and 135 RBI for his career, nuff said. 6.) 3B Alex Rodriguez - Although his post season numbers with the Yankees have been nothing special he's still the best hitter at his position. He drops to 6th in my order due to the fact that he just doesn't seem to be able to shrug off pressure as easily as Ortiz, Pujols, and Manny. 7.) C Joe Mauer - The 7 hole is about where I think you start to turn over the line-up. How about a catcher who had a .429 OBP last season and is primed to get even better? 8.) 2B Chase Utley - If you're going to start turning over the line-up at 7 then you need a 2-hitter for the 8 hole. Chase Utley may not be good enough to dethrone Jeter from the 2-hole but he'll fill in nicely here. In my opinion he's the best second baseman in the league. He gets on base, hits for fairly good power, drives in runs and can steal a base occasionally. 9.) CF Grady Sizemore - If this line-up were to bat around then you want a hitter that can not only drive in the couple runners infront of him but who's also fast enough to not impede Ichiro. that's what I got

I guess they decided to cover her with the red carpet since she never got to walk down one. Edit: Or burgandy carpet...its still reddish!

Another reason why the Fitzgerald thing is complete horseshit is due to the cap hit the Cards would take unloading him.

I bet Trim-Spa had something to do with it. She was still taking it night and day even after losing all that weight. Probably messed her heart up.
