  1. Papelbon is on course to have the best season by any closer in the history of baseball according to some guy at Sportsline. If that's true then he outta get the AL Rookie of the Year unless something bizarre happens.
  2. The Palance one trumps them all. No ifs, ands or buts about it.
  3. Sheffield could be out for the rest of the season now with that wrist injury. He has a torn ligament and dislocated tendon in his left wrist and still refuses surgery. Oh, and Mariano Rivera hurt his back somehow.
  4. I just figured that's the way they spell it over in England. Pedro/Piedro
  5. link to the Back To the Future and City Slickers ones please. oh, and somebody start tying this in with Malibu's persona.
  6. Slayer needs to come around and link to the thread that my post is mocking.
  7. what does OD stand for? </Alfdogg>
  8. put Jenna back...I don't ask for much
  9. after reading a few pages of this I feel bad enough to chip in and buy Marvin an hour with a prostitute. Who's with me?
  10. please keep the current avatar for awhile
  11. if it makes you feel better I hadn't seen it. I closed it after 5min. Too damned long
  12. Wells said he wants to make his scheduled start. I think Clemens is suppose to give his answer at the end of this week. This should mark the end of his "rigorous three week training program".
  13. here it is with sound if you wanna hear the guy break his hip link
  14. you're basically as tall as a Domokun so you can just say 5 full years.
  15. there's a Captain America movie?
  16. what a stupid channel to put it on. Before its final days on Spike they aired ECW on the Spanish channel up in Mass. It aired in English which made it all the more funny.
  17. I swear I remember Psylocke being a cyborg or some shit from some X-Men comic. Don't believe it was Uncanny but another series.
  18. I hope to god that they just leave it alone now. I don't get how Stan Lee could give the ok on the direction taken in this film. It was basically a slap in the face to those whom followed the comics for so long (and were hoping to get a good Pheonix story after the great job done with the second film) and looked as if it were just aimed at the casual movie fan that likes pointless violence with no real direction.
  19. Well considering he is 100% retiring after next season he better hope 225-230ish is enough. Maybe if he tags on another WS ring this year or next it will boost him. He's closing in on 3,000 strikeouts too, so I would think 225 wins and over 3k worth of strikeouts would be enough. Another strong post season performance might lock it up though.
  20. Manny is out with a stiff back so they threw Kevin Youkilis in LF. He's becoming the Moneyball version of Steve Lyons.
  21. Yes but MLB hasn't really had any serious talks with other networks so odds are FOX will retain the rights. I'd be a happy man if they went back to CBS
  22. Like I said, as just a movie it was good...but if you're a fan of the comics then its going to aggrivate and annoy you with what they did.
  23. I'm just the opposite in that regard.
  24. Jean admits that she killed Scott and it was probably done in that mode where he was just obliterated, thus no corpse.
  25. I walked by a crack deal in progress on my way to Camden Yards from a church parking lot (they were doing cheap parking for the game). Its good to see the police of that city are locking up poor lost podunk kids rather than taking care of what I witnessed. God knows lost civilians pose more of a threat then cracked out (and from the looks of it; jobless) youths in their late teens.
