I still say just throw him on ignore. If everybody stops talking to him and he figures out everybody has him on ignore then he'll just go somewhere else to talk about it. Unless of course he likes conversing with himself.

    Didn't get it from there.

Being annoying and making no sense isn't a bannable offense. In the end I bet they tell everybody to just throw him on ignore.

I'd like to see somebody videotape Dama walking around campus telling the larger male folks that he's cheering on Texas in the National Title Game should they make it. It would end up being more violent than Bum Fights and probably just as homely.

Lead singer of KoRn commits suicide?

The what now? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For a moment the room was spinning for him. This is why I made the thread in the form of a question though. Didn't know if it was true or somebody spouting off shit. I could see the guy from KoRn commiting suicide though, so it wasn't something far fetched.

Hey Al, who do you personally feel will be the biggest value out of FA starting pitchers this off-season? Personally I think it will be Paul Byrd. He's a Class B free agent and probably won't command as much as Kevin Millwood. Still, in the end he could be a 15 game winner on a contending team. What's really funny is that Jeff Weaver is a Type A free agent while the Yankees would recieve no compensation if somebody signed Kevin Brown before Dec 7th.

I'm sure some of the reasons why people attack Dama is the fact for so long now he's been the biggest Sooner fan ever. Now he's cheering on their biggest rival to win the National Title. Sports fans don't take people seriously when they cheer for or hope good things for their team's rival. The conspiracy theories on OU losing because certain refs were from Texas in one game or some shit was pretty lame too. I mean you cheering on the Longhorns to win the National Title because it makes the conference look stronger would be like me cheering on the Yankees to win the World Series because it makes the Al East look the strongest. Fuck that, I'd hope each and every Yankee fell down a flight of stairs on their way to the ballpark and broke their foot. Point is people don't take you seriously as a fan (I know I sure don't. Not an insult, just the truth.) and thus rather than listen to you flip-flop constently on who you're going to cheer for they shit on you in hopes that you'll just plain leave. None of this was an attack by the way, so don't take it that way.

I don't really hop into the College Football threads once Dama has been in there. I really don't think Edwin would need to flamebait either with the level of knowledge he has on the sport. He probably presents obvious things which can be backed up by looking at stats and what not but Dama still disagrees with it. As he said in this very thread, he's extremely stubborn so even if proven wrong he won't let it go. Thankfully there are other sports I enjoy and can discuss in that forum.

Lead singer of KoRn commits suicide?

no clue. Like I said, somebody on a baseball Messageboard said that Loder stated it on the MTV News before 9pm. Could be bullshit, could be real. I'm not watching MTV to find out though.

Lead singer of KoRn commits suicide?

I don't know if its true or not, the link given was some fake thing. Turn on MTV and wait to see if Loder actually reports it again. If not then this thread can be deleted. Unless of course somebody else already saw Loder report this.

    2005-2006 MLB Offseason thread

Its not really a bad deal for the Blue Jays, and they've been looking at trading Miguel Batista anyways which clears up more money. The Mets may have just acquired Javier Vasquez for Kris Benson and pitching prospect Brian Bannister. I'm trying to find written confirmation. Edit: ESPN is saying the New York Post has reported the deal but I can't find anything more than that.

    2005-2006 MLB Offseason thread

New York Post is saying the Mets have contacted Bengie Molina's agent, and while they haven't made an offer as of yet the two sides are discussing things as Molina "has an interest in the Mets". Marlins might hire Don Baylor as their hitting coach.

    2005-2006 MLB Offseason thread

If I end up posting several different things in a row then you'll have to excuse me as I was out all day at the grandparent's house. I'm checking all my little online sources for things not reported in this thread as of yet. Peter Gammons is saying the Red Sox are getting sick of looking for takers for Manny and might just go to the Mets and request Carlos Beltran and then agree to take Steve Trachsel(sp?)'s contract to even up the money. Omar Minaya still plans on talking to the Red Sox and then to Manny to see if he can interest him in being a Met. Its interesting because Gammons said on WEEI towards the trade deadline that a Mets source said that Beltran found it difficult to play in New York and wasn't enjoying it. The same source told Gammons that all Mets players would be available except for David Wright. With Xavier Nady able to play CF its a deal that could be done. I mean the Mets would have a solid line-up 1-5 Reyes Wright Delgado Manny Floyd

They wanted Jim Thome if the Phils were willing to absorb $$35-40mill of what was left on the contract.

Blue Jays sign closer B.J. Ryan. 5 year deal worth $47million. I wonder if this will drive the price up on Billy Wagner.

Link Marlins must have really wanted Hanley Ramirez. I've had shoulder tendonitis before and it only took about 4 weeks to completely heal (also had a partially torn bicep and elbow bricitis with it). I'd have more concern over Beckett's oblique after watching Tim Hudson.
