I'm always concerned about pitchers suffering from any injuries, more-so than position players. I don't know why, but it probably has something to do with watching fragile Pedro for so long along with seeing his brother Ramon and Bret Saberhagen both go down with career ending injuries here. Here are the scouting reports on all the prospects involved (taken from SoxProspects.com which seems as though it hasn't had the profiles updated since before the 2005 season with some players) Harvey Garcia - Garcia's fastball tops out around 96 mph, with excellent command . Very confident on the mound. He relies very heavily on his fastball, but he occasionally utilizes an average breaking ball and a unrefined changeup. Jesus Delgado - A hard-throwing righty, Delgado had TJ surgery two years ago. Hasn't played since the Dominican Summer League in 2001. Struggled at Augusta in 2004. Anibal Sanchez - Sanchez was raised around a lot of pro players while growing up in Venezuela. Throws a two-seam and a four-seam fastball that tops out in the mid-90s with excellent control. Also throws an excellent deceptive changeup and a consistently improving curve. Good confidence and poise on the mound. Previously experienced nerve problems in his throwing arm, which he has seemingly now fully recovered from. Learned English quickly. Front-of-the rotation potential. Hanley Ramirez - Athletic five-tool shortstop with great instincts, above average speed, and all-star potential. Makes excellent contact. Very good range with a top-notch arm. Displays power potential, but the numbers have yet to show it. Had some disciplinary problems earlier in his career, many of which have been attributed to dealing with a great deal of hype and earlier immaturity. Has been a model citizen in recent seasons. Almost all reports have listed Ramirez as the #1 prospect in the organization for years now - he signed at the age of sixteen. It has also been said that Hanley enjoys playing in front of large crowds, which actually has been reflected in his stats. He loves playing the game and almost always wears a smile on his face. He has adjusted well at nearly every level, improving his game preparation and self discipline annually. He has the tools and abilities to switch to center field or third base down the line. Highest ceiling in organization. All prospects are 21 years old.

If Mota repeats last year's performance, I wouldn't sweat it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He suffered from Shoulder Inflammation last season.

I still like the deal. Garcia right now has nothing but a mid 90s fastball. Thanks Al

I've come to the conclusion I listen to far too much sports radio. I'm like the Sports Flash guy of TSM.

Fox Sports radio reports that a radio station in Detroit has reported the Lions front office will meet tommorow on whether or not to fire Steve Mariucci.

as soon as Barry Sanders retired they should have taken the Thanksgiving Day game away from Detroit.

Happy Turkey Day to those who celebrate it.

Hoff <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Does Piss know about this? -
Which is why I said it was a combination of that and his knee being injured.

The Detroit Lions look like garbage and they're just being humiliated on national TV.

I'm probably in the minority but I like Matt Clement. He carried the rotation in the first half of the season and come the second half he was just gassed. I also believe his knee bothering him and taking a linedrive off the noodle had something to do with his second half performance. Even though its rumored that Tom Gordon is coming to Boston they still need to work on the bullpen. Craig Hansen and Manny Delcarmen aren't going to be saviors.

I don't like this any more than the previous photo of Luger. What's worse is this pic is larger than the previous one.

Mike Lowell is a right handed version of Corey Koskie. I have no problem with him being the third baseman.

Beckett trade has some things going on with it. Link I expect the deal to still go through but the Sox getting the Marlins to give them a wee bit of cash(not a significent amount), especially with Hanley Ramirez being the player the Marlins wanted most out of all MLB prospects (least that's what has been said by reporters around here and Mr. Gammons).

even posters nobody know of think I'm a bad person. I need an image consultant

Kotzy Potter readies himself for another year at Hogwarts.

At CWM's Thanksgiving table he gives thanks to the Hart family, Chris Benoit, Subway sandwhiches, and Slush Puppies.

there is no holiday better than Thanksgiving. Turkey dinner and football...doesn't get much better (as far as holidays go).

no, but the arbitrator makes mention that part of the reason why the suspension is upheld is because of the actions of both T.O. and Drew Rosenhaus.

Bonds did however blame the media for all of his problems, called Boston "a city of racists", and have an affair on his wife. Of course I guess Urbina trumps all that since he tried to set his farmhands on fire and then massacre them with a machette (now there's a wrestling angle!).

Ya, there's been a rumored trade between Milwaukee and Boston for about a week. As far as the players involved this is what I've heard. Boston gets... Lyle Overbay Geoff Jenkins Class A prospect Milwaukee gets... Manny Ramirez Matt Clement Triple A prospect basically, its bullshit.

That's Barry Bonds

Like Thome not passing his physical?
