somebody should link Choken One to The Pit or NMB.

no problem-o Not surprising that the Chargers laughed at the proposal either. Abraham was coming off a season where he missed the last 4 games of the regular season and both playoff games due to injury. The Chargers went and drafted Luis Castillo (DT) and Shawn Merriman (OLB that can play DE in some sets) so it just didn't make sense for the Chargers.

I hate Wendy's as well. Neither of us like Wendy's so that's why we won't be chilling there.

The Jets were trying to push that trade when Abraham was talking about sittng out if he was franchised again. The Chargers had no interest in Abraham.

It was just tendonitis though. According to an ESPN article Josh Beckett is excited and he said that Mike Lowell was extremely happy after recieving the phone call.

Jacobs and O'Connel have turned the city against the team with their actions. Its not difficult to see why people don't want to bother with the team.

Link I wonder how much the Mets really will spend. They're going to get a closer regardless and probably bring in Manny too. Mets are also rumored to be interested in both Carlos Delgado and Luis Castillo of the Marlins (Castillo if they don't sign Furcal). Only thing they'll have to ask themselves is how much of the farm system do they want to deplete.

that sure would give the Phills alot of left-handed hitters. RF Abreu 3B Blalock 1B Thome/Howard 2B Utley CF Lofton if he returns if I'm missing any feel free to add them

final thought of the night Black Lushus is good people and somebody I'd sit back and chill with at a BBQ.

Up until 10 years ago that rivalry may have been the best in sports, even trumping Yanks/Sawx. Can't put Bears/Packers on that level.

read the whole conversation bob

Gammons now saying that the Red Sox will absorb all the contract, move Youkilis to third base and Bill Mueller is close to signing with the White Sox.

because they got 2 great prospects and one very good prospect too. In terms of prospects Boston is giving up alot, and those 3 players won't even cost a combined $1mill this year. I'm not expecting Florida to pick up much, maybe $3mill overall ($1.5 each year left in Lowell's contract).
-
Gammons said on a radio thing that money is being discussed now as well due to Jesus Delgado being involved. At first the PTBNL was suppose to be a pitcher not on the 40-man roster. Delgado was put on the 40-man roster to protect being taken in the Rule-V draft and the Marlins wanted him. Financial details and players passing physicals is supposedly all that needs to be figured out and done now.

Link According to Rotoworld the minor league pitcher is 21 year old relief prospect Jesus Delgado. Florida got 3 good prospects here so I expect them to pay a small chunk of the Lowell contract.

Ahmad Carrol just called the ref a "mutha'fucka" while pleading his case for offensive pass interference. I wonder who was they have mic-ed up so that was audible.

bob's in here. I sense a lecture. I'm sorry bob, ok? I'M SORRY!

God isn't going to be a fan of Texas A&M if he watches the sport.

after hearing about the hockey player suffering a seizure from Czech I thought this thread could use a bit of a laugh. WEEI in Boston has something called The Whiner Line where callers can leave minor rants and then they get played at the end of the day. Here's what one man had to say about the Bruins.

he said that in an interview and while the Astros probably won't be offering Clemens arbitration (he'd make like $20-21mill) the Yankees would be wise to wait until around mid-December to even ask because they'd lose two draft picks for him. Of course, Clemens could be signed back up with the Astros by then...its a double-edged sword.
