I want to see who is getting drafted. Not this lame attempt at drama.

    The Condemned

What annoys me is that WWE thinks these type of movies can sell. They'd be better off putting one of the Divas in a romantic comedy(Trish would have been a good choice) . Reviewers and the general public just see the WWE name attached and see the generic low brow action plots and dismiss it. They want Kane, Cena and Austin to follow in the footsteps of The Rock but they can't. They should try to get a real actor to star and have their talent be the secondary characters or the main bad guy in a movie. So many options within the company and they take the shitty route from top to bottom. From the plot, the script, the directors, the casting and of course, the lead role.

Keyshawn almost makes me forgive Berman.

Tom Hanks is going to be paid $50 million

It's Philadelphia. Not Philadelphia Story. Don't forget the stuff he's produced (Band of Brothers, Polar Express, Ant Bully, From Earth to the Moon) and he's also a good SNL host.

Did Olsen get a DUI last night? I didn't think he'd still be sitting at 25.
  8. I would see RVD headed back to AJPW before NOAH. Wonder if he left, would he give himself a high price tag like 3D and Angle? RVD would probably love to work in Manhattan with any great talent but especially the Danielson, KENTA and Albright's of the world.

Jones is a brilliant guy. Other teams would have given less but Jones gets more out of it and Dallas is all but assured of a top 10 pick next year.

Looks like Cleveland got nervous and figured they should go for it now. Could have likely waited, really. Outside of Baltimore, who was going for it? Quinn really wins here. Lands at "home" and gets Joe Thomas. He'll make his money back in endorsement deals.

i doubt it...the Jags have 2 good qbs... No, they don't. Two average QB's. One with injury concerns and lack of confidence and the other didn't pan out as much as expected. Not that Quinn would an automatic upgrade but it's a possibility.

What's the deal in Jacksonville? Are they settled at the QB spot? Because unless GB saves another QB (and that won't happen)...I can't see anyone else from 10 on down taking him except JVille but I'm not sure where they are at with regards to QB.

Quinn's on the phone with Aaron Rodgers right now. Keep in mind, he's better off landing in a better team then playing in a dead franchise. It's silly to be against a player because of where he went to college. If Cincinnati was on the verge of drafting someone from Ohio U, I wouldn't be up in arms about it as long as that kid could play. Yeah, hating ND is fine. Who wouldn't hate that university but I'd say it's better to hate against a player like Quinn for the obvious reasons... that he isn't a good PRO QB. He's a overhyped player. That should be his knock, not that he went to a institution with a larger public marketing department then most NCAA conferences combined.

Are you Dolphin 'phans' happier with Ginn then Quinn?
  18. Hawk 34

    NFL 2007 Draft Thread

Anyone catch Berman fawning about Quinn taking his clothes off? Why do people hate him? Is it the ND thing? That's stupid. Is it because he promotes himself? That's a logical thing to do, this is a business. Make your money. Is it his looks? I mean, people hated Leinert and he was a pretty boy as well. I'm sure people hated Aikman. Good thing that Palmer, Smith and Manning were bland looking guys. He's hardly the first questionable choice. Edit: Um, what? Ginn? Where did that come from?

    NFL 2007 Draft Thread

I know that Quinn is important and we need to keep the camera on Peterson in hopes he snaps sitting there but can we please shut fat boy up? He's spoiled each pick today. Granted they are obvious selections but just shut up Berman.

Tom Hanks is going to be paid $50 million

How could anyone really argue against Hanks? He is the first most people would want to star in your movie. The crowds love him, he always gets respect from reviews and he can work well with many others. Hanks hasn't made a shitty movie in quite some time. Da Vinci Code was a shitty boook but it was packaged right as a movie. It was never intended to follow in line with Hanks usual dramatic act. He's worth the money.

Wouldn't a Rodgers drop be more akin to your hatred? Quinn landing in a Leinert spot is good for the guy.

Compared to others in the past, no. I'd rather have the 5th pick than the first. It seems like a lot of #1's have busted lately, comparatively speaking. I'll take my chances with the guys just below. Using Keyshawn as a starting point, let's look the #1's since then Orlando Pace Peyton Manning Tim Couch Courtney Brown Michael Vick David Carr Carson Palmer Eli Manning Alex Smith Mario Williams It's too soon to call Mario a bust, Smith seems decent so far. Eli is hit and miss but you could do worse. Palmer is a success. Carr never got a real line, so we never got a good tell on what he could do. Vick? Well, he done some good but he's done some bad as well on and off the field. Brown and Couch are among the biggest #1 busts ever. Manning is going to be a top five all time QB. Orlando Pace had a good career. I'd say its about equal.

I don't think so. Has he had an incredible career? No but he's had a productive enough career and can help a team out. There's been worst picks obviously. What happened to Keyshawn's self imposed ban from the media? Did that even last a week? Now he's working with that network.
