I'm sure Pith meant exactly that. Rhodes will probably come out and show the video.

Man, Nitro is really fucked now.

I got the news this morning that there was a scoring mishap in the one bracket I thought I had locked up and was ready to collect $850 on but instead it'll come down to the Florida/UCLA game. I feel secure that Florida won't screw me.

The OAO Raw Hot Sell for WM 23 (March 26th)
Hawk 34 replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
I think the idea of Edge avoiding Orton in that match would be great. Save the first physical confrontation for Mania. I wanted to do it in Chicago, since it's a huge shot to put Punk over on Raw with a hometown crowd behind him. The others are established to WWE's fanbase as either main event acts (Booker, Orton and Edge) or life long mid-card acts (Hardyz, Finlay). With Kennedy being in between for right now but Punk has very little exposure to the Raw crowd and it's as good as any time to do it. That way, have Punk pull a upset on King Booker tonight and do a singles match at ECW or Smackdown. It was awhile back but Booker and Punk have had a confrontation once before when Booker was champion and Punk suggested they'd have match but Booker was appaled by the idea. -
More over, it really should just be a tag team turmoil with the idea of LonDrick having an open challenge to the entire WWE. Of course, involved teams would be Carlito/Flair, Murdoch/Cade, MnM and WGTT. I'd rather see a four corners with the same teams minus Murdoch/Cade but I think a TTT works better that way and without a battle royal, that way it'll allow for more action rather then a ho-hum battle royal. I'd start with WGTT Vs Carlito/Flair and give them about five minutes with Flair and Carlito going over. Murdoch and Cade come out and gets promptly defeated. MnM come out and take out Flair and Carlito. This puts over more dissension between the two. The champs come out and they get a short match and either MnM cheat to win the titles or LonDrick squeak by and prolongs that program into the next ppv. In fact, this would be a tremendous hot opener. Amazingly, they'll manage to get a great deal of the roster on the card and no one important gets left off as we've seen in the past.

She was on last week chasing Melina around. She's fine. -

I'm still pushing to see a Eight Man Tag match with the MitB guys (Wild-Card style). It's in Chicago, gotta have Punk appear. Yes, they already have six-woman match and a tag main event but I think adding a Eight-Man doesn't hurt and would be quite a match with the usual hot Chicago crowds. -
As far as mainstream producers go, Timbaland isn't a bad partnership. Anything to get out of the awful nu-metal acts they are usually grouped with.

I was wondering the other day if they were gonna try to get Aretha to do the show again or go in the direction of some modern act like Beyonce. Will they get Alice Cooper as well?

Why is Dan Patrick still with ESPN? Berman, can't do anything else but I always figured Patrick would be gone by this point. Even his radio show doesn't talk about sports as much as the other ESPN shows.

To be fair, it is a good subject to cover in that class. It's just strange for something like pro wrestling to be a major course subject at a prestigious university.

3/25: Tax Man Cometh, Tax Man Joketh

I'm already pissed that it's warm again (it was 83 degrees today!). It's going to be miserable this summer. I don't get the love for humid summer afternoons. I work outdoors a bunch, I don't get the comfort of a AC'd building anymore. You'd think I'd have something witty about Middletown but no. -
Good god, it's almost April and none of my guys have croaked?

Sandler didn't do Reign to make money. He did it because it was a great role and would give him some credibility. It won't keep him from doing dramas.

YES. Great run from GT to close this game out in a big way. OSU/GT should be quite fun.

I'll have my second big pool locked up if GT wins here. The only other person to match me had UNC winning. We shared the same F4 aside from that and our tie-breaker was even as well. I bombed my mega pool with only Florida making the final four for me in that one (should UNC win here). Disappointing but I'm getting money no matter who wins this game, just a difference of $100.

"Wanna go to my mansion?" Kids: YAY!!! "I'm just fucking with you". Not really a surprise, he's been mocking himself for years and is good at comedy. All he needs to do is knock up a couple models and he's got Brady beat.

As was he with mine, with Clark right behind him.

Well, I was off about Shooter. Last week, I'd hardly seen any TNMT promotion but it really amp'd up and it was plastered all over. Disapointed that Sandler's movie didn't go over so well. Hoping he would do well and encourage him to stop making crap like Click. Can't believe Wild Hogs is sticking around.

That was a given. Now we just need Flair to get on the show to continue their traditional speeches. Dusty hasn't been confirmed for having Cody do the speech but I thought that was a done deal, if not, obviously Flair is the right person for it. Perhaps they should place him as the emcee instead.

MIT is supposed to be one of more prestigious schools in America and they have a class about pro wrestling. No wonder this country is so far behind in education with the rest of the world.

So when are they going to bring Scorpio in? He's working OVW right now with the Flash gimmick while keeping the Scorpio name. He does look quite aged but still seems to have skills intact enough. Who is currently running OVW? It's taken quite the freefall since Heyman left. They got Heyman under contract. Let him go there and keep buring himself out creatively and possibly teach those guys something like cutting a promo or working a crowd. Whoever is in charge right now isn't doing a good job of it. One of the strangest things, Maryse whom is the interviewer changes her outfit for every segment even when they are back to back. I understand cheap production values but still.

Starting with WrestleMania 14, look at the closing two matches WM14 Austin Vs Michaels. Undertaker Vs Kane. These were obviously the two biggest matches of the night and they were done in consecutive order. WM15 Austin Vs Rock. Undertaker Vs Bossman (HIAC). This was obviously a one match event but The Undertaker was a top name and the Ministry Vs Corporation was a big angle. Compared to the rest of the card, the HIAC was obviously the second big match, although one might argue that McMahon/X-Pac was the #2 match. WM2000 Fatal Four Way. Rikishi/Kane Vs X-Pac and Road Dogg. This show was all about the main event and a bunch of solid mid-card matches lumped into multiple man matches. Obviously the tag match wasn’t the second biggest match of the night but it’s hard to really pinpoint what was, although the Ladder Match was the obvious second big spectacle of the night. WMX7 Austin Vs Rock. Undertaker Vs HHH. These four were the biggest names of the Attitude Era (Only Foley and McMahon could be added to that) and they closed out the show. You can’t get two bigger closing pairs for a WM then this. WMX8 Jericho Vs HHH. Jazz/Trish/Lita. This is the very show that pushed the idea that you needed a filler match in between the two mega matches. Obviously, Rock-Hogan was the big draw and it wasn’t in the final two matches. The main event wasn’t the biggest match of the night. Some still argue that they should have pushed Rock/Hogan even earlier down the card (such as the 6th or 7th spot on the 12 match card) or simply placed it as the main event but WM has never had a main event that wasn’t for a world title with the exception of WM 1, 8 and 11. They could have made an exception here, obviously. WMXIX Lesnar Vs Angle. Rock Vs Austin. This is a show that had FIVE main event quality matches that all got a big push. In fact, the actual main event probably had the least juice going into it although for the ‘net fans, it was huge because of the circumstances with Angle. Not only did this show have five main event type matches but they all were done in consecutive order. This is a show that really could have gained from a different pacing. HHH/Booker was for the title but it was obviously lesser then McMahon/Hogan and Rock/Austin, so it went before those matches and the main event. WMXX Benoit Vs HHH Vs Michaels. Undertaker Vs Kane. The two big matches once again finished the show in consecutive order. Angle/Guerrero wasn’t as big as Undertaker’s return and probably wasn’t as important as the Evolution Vs Rock n Sock tag match. Once again the two big matches close the show. WM21 Batista Vs HHH. JBL Vs Cena. The two title matches and biggest matches of the night closed the show here as well. WM22 Cena Vs HHH. Pillow Fight. They went back to the woman’s match to separate the two main event matches but Michaels/McMahon might been considered the bigger match given the push it got and that proceeded the World Title match. However, take out the very brief pillow fight match and the three big matches closed the show. The point is that WM23 has three big main event type matches. The two world title matches and the Billionaires. Why would you assume they would separate the two title matches 2 matches? Perhaps if you feel that BOB is the second main event and not the WWE title match, which you can argue…then you might be right but it’s pretty much WWE standard to put the two title matches or the “main events” back to back to close the show (of course, with a pair of exceptions) In order to “calm” the crowd, you simply do the HOF spotlight segment or a couple skits/videos. My real interest is to see if they consider the BOB to be more important and get a higher placement then the WWE Title match.
