They are going to have to explain Carlito/Trish, at some point once Trish leaves. While they could easily do the cheap route and have Carlito turn on Trish on the way out, I'd rather they stick with Carlito being a face for the moment and just mention it in passing in a month that Carlito isn't seeing Trish anymore. Use that as a catalyst for his inevitable re-heel turn.

I'm happily surprised by WWE's generous and respectful send-off for Trish. It's rare for them to send someone off on a good note.

I'm surprised they didn't just throw Duggan and Eugene out there to make it a 5 on 5. As you can tell, WWE is making sure MSG gets a memorable show. You can actually SEE the effort.

It's about time they do the obvious Piper+Highlanders routine. Here comes ramblin' Rowdy Roddy promo.

It's been one season removed since the Patriots won a SB. Quite early to be saying that those days "are behind us". Remember, they did have a "off-season" in between their last two championships. I don't see any reason why they can't win a couple more.

If John Madden hadn't followed the tangibles over to NBC, I would have liked the presentation more.

WWE has made money off the movies (so far). The movies are tremendously low budget and thanks to domestic sales in addition to overall international sales (adding in DVD sales). With a built-in marketing campaign within their regular programming, costs for these movies aren’t hard to cover. See No Evil, had a (estimated) budget of only $8 million. It grossed nearly twice that amount and that’s not counting eventful DVD sales. The Marine's budget was twice the amount of See No Evil, which means there is a greater importance on that movie because Kane's movie was essentially a trial run for WWE Films. Also, it's important that John Cena does at least modestly because Kane was pushed as a freak in a generic horror movie, that wasn't a hard sell. John Cena, is being asked to be a leading man action hero. It does have tough competition in Man Of The Year (Robin Williams, Christopher Walken and Lewis Black) and The Grudge 2(sequel to hit movie)

HHH, does want to work Edge. There's a reason they are holding off on it (quite possibly for WM) and that's because they want to do the DX angle now. As for Shawn and HHH's reunion? Simple, they teased it for weeks. Classic and simple case of, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" Knowing they had a past designed around rebellion, they knew bringing that "edge" back would beat their mutal enemy.

You act as if Japanese professions have always been beacons of integrity. They have a higher standard of quality, but that doesn't indicate they are going to avoid making money for the greater good of their promotion. Kurt Angle, and Kurt Angle alone is to blame for his situation. We've covered that his fervent desire to laspe into overdrive, and to overcompensate for his shortcomings is what drove him into physical catastrophe and the psychological damage was in effect long before he even stepped into a professional wrestling ring.

Only heels with issues in the past ever seem to explain why they are working together. Such as Jericho/HHH, long time rivals turned partners in 2003 explained it quickly that either liked each other but they both hated Shawn enough to work together.

Speaking of unusual rules/stips in a match, I still wonder why they don't book more of those "Can't touch the other guy's face" matches ala Martel/Shawn and Flair/Austin. While the Martel/Shawn match wasn't great, it was a great mid-card comedy match especially with Sherri overbumping.

Well, for one NBC doesn't own the rights to the song and it's not MNF.

This was his first failed drug test, the previous suspension was a behavior related suspension.

Now it's time for Bledsoe to throw out the INT and crush that small pocket of life they have left.

I do like the first shirt, but I'd like it in some other color besides black.

I'm completely surprised Vince hasn't done full frontal nudity with himself. We've seen his behind countless times, it would seem to be a matter of time for his ego to insist on it.

I missed the first half of the day already. What's been interesting so far? Also, I don't like CBS's new look.

The Wedding. No long story here. It was fantastic in every since of the word. My sister looked superbly radiant, the ceremony was tremendous and even had a dose of comedic relief from the ring-bearer having a brief tug-o-war with the buttons on his pillow. The whole thing was great from pre-wedding pictures, (which was an event of its own), to the antics in the groom's room involving all sorts of hilarious moments that would only be funny for those involved in the moment. Like I said in the bachelor party entry, I wasn't actively looking for anything other then having a good time socializing with my family but that didn't exactly happen. Last night and for most of the pre-wedding stuff, me and my sister's maid of honor were constantly flirting and having a great time together. It's weird that I had never actually met her before despite being my sister's best friend for the last 3 years. So, of course, she has a boyfriend, whom was completely late for the wedding and half the reception. My sister, was almost glowing seeing me and her best friend getting along so well. She's pretty cute with a great personality. After the boyfriend showed up, I left her alone and continued having a upstanding time with the family and meeting new people. However, before she left, she gave me a hug with an extended period of time and of course, the subtle kiss followed with the slight of hand number exchange in my pocket. So, a pretty cute girl who already makes good money (assistant director at some marketing company), already close with the family and a fantastic personality to boot? I could do worse. I was afraid I would be "down" about this whole event, starting to get depressed about my confusing love life but I had a complete blast. Weddings just never suck. The only negative was that my father's family were barely there. Some didn't even bother making the 30 minute drive and those that did, stuck around for the ceremony and maybe a quick bite at the dessert bar. Since there wasn't an open bar, they had no reason to stick around apparently. So, a pretty fun three days for me and it gets better with the first full day of the NFL in just a few hours....I haven't slept in nearly 48 hours and my feet are basically gone, so I should hopefully crash soon.

The way flirting always starts, two people meet and they get a good feeling towards each other and are instantly comfortable making jokes and such. As for the boyfriend? Fuck him. I never can feel guilty about someone getting dumped. It's his own fault that his girl might be interested in someone else. It's not like other guys haven't walked in and taken my girlfriends in the past. It's the male nature.

He also mentioned it in a promo as well, that you make your own success. I don't get why they can't use the Pepsi logo, as many t-shirts rip off other company designs, especially beer designs.

Wait, I picked Minnesota? That was a total accident there. I got 12 wins, but I still lose because I bolded the wrong team.

A draw is a clean finish. KENTA winning the title isn't outside the realm of reality especially considering Dragon has a pretty bad shoulder injury and that KENTA would only miss 4 shows until his return in November (and will also be likely to work FB06, where the title switch to Homicide is likely) and that it's just further international promotion. ROH, is at a stage right now where they don't need a world title attraction to draw and sell their shows, especially with an incredibly tight tag team division and international talent on display. Cide/Danielson already had a title match, at DESTINY. That didn't have a clean finish but Danielson/Cide isn't the focus anymore for Homicide. It's Homicide Vs Cornette.
-
Marufuji Vs Nigel McGuiness at Glory By Honor IV will be insane, with the strong chance of KENTA taking the title from the injured Bryan Danielson...the ROH/NOAH partnership is strong.

Nothing more then a case of Waltman, who lives in the Tampa area hanging backstage and getting to come out after the match.
