It's funny for one thing.

The W&G love in begins.

I'm still Conan marks will praise this show because Conan can do no wrong, right? I'm sick of the "Tom Cruise" stuff on the red carpet already. It's TELEVISION. Wait until the Oscars to talk about Cruise.

Okay, NOAH i'll let slide, but how do you figure a dude who was working at least 4 days a week pretty much every week for the last 7 years couldn't handle the 2 days a month ROH holds show? First off, ROH works 4-6 shows a month. The reason he wouldn't survive is because Angle doesn't have the "turn off" switch intact within him and if he does a booking with ROH, he'll be working the obvious talents like Danielson, KENTA, Aries, Richards, Strong and Joe if politics don't interfere. Angle is always driven by people like Benoit and will over exert himself and that would be the case with those aforementioned names. Consider that Angle will easily buy into the hype that comes with those talents and see it as an opportunity to go beyond what he was used to in WWE. In WWE, they managed to rescrict him but in a ROH/NOAH environment...such rescrictions would be thrown out the door for Angle. Look at examples like James Gibson who was considered a wrestling top talent in WWE and had trouble adapting to the ROH style after years of working within the WWE system.

Angle would be committing further suicide if he worked NOAH or ROH. He simply couldn't handle that. I believe he is to loyal to work for TNA because he'll want to return to WWE and he knows working for TNA wouldn't do him any favors. All promotions would be smart to avoid signing him anyways because of the obvious reasons.

Pillman's cover.

Also, they need to stop trying so hard with making Kornheiser look like the modern Cosell. I like Tony to an extent and I think he can add to the show especially in garbage time but let's not go crazy. Cosell, was a wacko but he could call a game and entertain in the process. SNF, even in pregame shows have had a special quality already that the real MNF in the past years have lacked which is odd considering its the same announce crew. Maybe it's the presentation but it's more effective then ABC's recent efforts. That being said, I can't blame ESPN for promoting their MNF version as they have.

The first day of school part…XIV I remember when the night before the first day of school used to wreck my nervous system. Weighing on my mind was the depression that summer was over and those 3 months of soaking up the sun, playing ball with the boys and swimming non-stop would cease for 9 months. Wondering if the new teachers would like me, and more importantly, did anyone change? The older we get, the anxiety regarding the first day of school changes. In high school, minus frosh year…the first day didn’t bother me. Unlike when we were kids, you kept in close contract with most of your classmates. School would only present itself as a nuisance in your social life. In high school, my summers were built around two things, baseball, camping and the summer romances. The first day of the school year traditionally signaled the conclusion of those two hallmarks. Today was the first day of my sophomore year in college and it was the same as always even if I was at a different campus this time around. Faces all look the same and you instantly meet new people. Some people are bored by the first day activities when you get 2 hour lectures about the policies of each class and the expectations of the course. (Not me) If you are lucky, you’ll get a professor who takes advantage of the small class size and does the hokey “Tell the class about yourself” routine to kill time. No one really ever remembers anything someone says during these things, but it’s almost a perverse requirement to do this. On Tuesdays and Thursday, I have a short schedule of just two classes. Creative Writing: Short Fiction (The problem is, this is a senior class but I was pushed into it by my advisor and previous English prof‘s recommendation) and Survey of American History. Creative Writing is precisely what you would expect. Young hipster emo-fag who couldn’t cut it as an actual writer decides to teach it. He seems alright enough and I can tell he isn’t going to be one of those pretentious wannabe Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society assholes. He gets the game and I can respect him enough on that accord. The important factor of the class besides the absurd easiness of creative writing is the quality of the girls in the class. This can’t be understated. You get the hot English/journalist major chicks who want to hone their skills as writers combined with the dumb blonde seniors taking the class for graduation requirement purposes. Mixed in with a couple fat losers, socially awkward Morrissey loving dorks and that puts me in a good position. History was a different story though. History isn’t my strong suit and there’s a reason I avoided it my frosh year. This subject always depends on the educator and how they present the concept of History. I don’t want some fucking textbook pushing fucker that probably has no understanding about anything. I’ll take a history teacher who cuts through bullshit and not shy from his/her opinion. I got the latter in my history professor. There is nothing like a 60 year old bitter lady with a TRUE sense of history to educate you on things outside the textbook. She is obviously a compulsive chain smoker with penchant to recall on her glory days back in the 1960’s. Who knows if I’ll learn anything but it’ll be fun as hell. M/W/F is basically the boring trio of classes with Anthropology (course requirement), Algebra (another class I avoided last year) and Environmental Geology. These classes will depend on good professors to bring up my interest. The important thing about day one is never the classes but getting a feel for the social climate. I told myself to avoid the urge to jump into a potential relationship catastrophe for the moment but well, you can’t help it sometimes. Put yourself in a situation surrounded by girls and you can’t avoid it. I can almost never live up to my word. I thought I meant it when I said I was going to stay away from a job for at least a couple months but this new opportunity is really enticing. The job is mine for the taking. Pay isn’t as high as what I’m accustomed to but with the schedule flexibility and the environment I’ll be around makes up for it. Besides, it’s only minutes from school and home. My old job was a 40 minute commute. It has to be a dream job for a lot of people and what’s funny is, I don’t really care for the stuff but the job just literally fell into my hands. Oh, the job? Think of a famous person from the Cincinnati area with a history of controversy that didn’t play baseball but knows a lot about balls. Yeah, that place. I didn’t want to have to take a job but I feel like I have now since... My mother, after 10 years of working for the same day care company was laid off last Thursday via “budget issues”. They fired a qualified and experienced employee to replace her with a cheaper and less experienced college transplant. My mother took the job as a thing of personal passion. She didn’t need the job but she loved little kids and was good at it. I’ve already offered to help out and all that such but she won’t allow it. I think it really broke her spirit because that job was important to her. It’s bullshit. It isn’t some mass corporation with scumbag execs looking to line their pockets, it’s a fucking day care center and even they can’t get away from fucking politics. I’m well aware of the fact that I’m typing this at 4 am in the morning and I’d like to pretend I'm up for a reason but there isn't. I do have classes in just a few hours, so that isn’t a wise move on my part but that is sorta the fun of it anyways. - Pertaining to the forum, I’ve reached the conclusion that this place has and this is a appx. estimate, only 23 people with functioning brains. The rest are running on fumes or died horribly awhile ago. EHME is a prime example.

How can you put DUTT on that list but neglect Homicide and Abyss. Also, it's not like Sting was a WWE name anyways.

What exactly were you there for anyways? Just curious?, looking for late night material or looking for something for the Mrs?

Are we seriously having a “WWE is to fault/The fans are at fault for supporting” debate? Look, I explained it earlier but I’ll have to go through it again. Kurt Angle’s ambition and apparent selfishness isn’t a WWE induced condition. It’s been internal for Kurt throughout his lifetime to be wired the way he is. He was this way in high school, college, amateur, and of course, his professional career. Yes, WWE certainly assisted in motivating Angle to continue his destructive path but it’s not as if Kurt was forced into this lifestyle of addiction. How exactly are the fans to blame here, really? Kurt has always been competitively hyperactive, it’s his own mentality to prove something that is driving him into this early grave. Not the wrestling fans that he performs in front of. Kurt Angle doesn’t drive himself to this point for the fans, he does it as a challenge to himself and himself only. If WWE never existed for him, Kurt would have found another avenue and gone beyond his limits there as well. Be it MMA or whatever. It’s hardly constructive to start up a ludicrous debate about our (the fans), collective involvement.

This is the best thing possible for both ends of the agreement. That being said, it is far from being the solution for all the issues and troubles that plague Kurt Angle and the WWE. This is all cumulative and it isn’t anything more then damage control on the behalf of WWE. They’d like to believe that they have a heart and want to save Kurt Angle, which is true to an extent. It is standard practice for the WWE to put their talent into rehab if possible and if such action is refused, this act is the consequence of their decision. It isn’t a sudden realization for the WWE to see that Angle is an addict in many forms all directly linked beyond just his professional career. This is an issue that many people consistently overlook in great fashion. This drive wasn’t implemented into Kurt Angle when he signed with the WWF almost 8 years ago. You need to consider the fact that Kurt Angle has always been obsessed with his own proverbial wall and how much he is willing to shatter it just to continuously over exert himself. Point in case, his two biggest professional triumphs (Atlanta 1996 and WMXIX) were both off the charts in their courageousness and questionable stupidity. Kurt Angle drove himself to this and to pinpoint all blame on WWE would be rash. WWE, to their credit have attempted to curtail Angle’s drive but they are slightly at fault for waiting until it might have been too late. Angle is an utter mess; you don’t need to follow all the constant reports that indicate this. It’s evident in the physical transformation of Kurt Angle’s body, and if you look closely, even his mental stability. Kurt Angle contributed his daughter’s birth to opening his eyes but it’s obvious that the determination that motivates Angle to beyond his limitations has a much further scope then he is willing to confess. He continued on despite the threat of divorce and losing his daughter on account of his persistent desire to be, in his mind, the best. The last two years we have witnessed the deterioration of a once spectacular athlete, I stress that, athlete. Kurt Angle was once a natural, gifted athlete who was in effect almost special. That hardly exist within the shell of what he is right now. WWE really had other no option by releasing Kurt. Certainly, suspending him could have done something but it wouldn’t send as direct a message as this outward release has. It is hopeful that Kurt Angle takes this as a sign of opportunity. Angle has always been mentally unbalanced. I don’t know if this really solves anything, for either side. It’s still up to Angle to self-correct himself and it’ll probably require more then just losing his job to straighten himself out. He has issues that date back beyond his tenure with the WWE. WWE hasn’t ridden themselves of the guilt and blame that is to befall them, if the worse that we all fear is to occur. Years of turning a blind eye and suddenly handing him a suspension and a subsequent release isn’t going to absolve their actions. They will be put in heavy scrutiny. They took a slight beating after Eddie’s death but should something unfortunate happen to Kurt…The negative impact could be vicious perhaps more damaging then Owen’s death. It would be observed by the media and mainstream that a worked sport historically known for steroids and being a carnival act drove a once prominent American Olympic athlete into ruin and his eventful death. This is a situation that WWE fears beyond pretty much anything else. This is first step for each side but it’s hardly the conclusion. It’s the beginning, but of what? Recovery or absolute tragedy?

NBC is using it as the mid-season replacement in E.R's spot.

This was the original Austin Vs McMahon dvd but it was changed to be devoted to Vince. I still think a "Greatest Feuds" dvd would be fantastic.
-
No, it's true. Vince has always relied on competition for motivation and that's been a key reason the WWE product has been so putrid over the last few years. Vince rightfully doesn't consider TNA legitimate competition. WWE needs a realistic threat and they aren't getting it, which is why they remain stagnate. Vince was right about the XFL. The problem was that Vince put himself over in the process of the development and hype of the league and that instantly led the media against it once the ratings bottomed out after the decent debut. With more time and thought, especially less Vince McMahon public involvement and more cohesive planning, the XFL stood a chance of being at the least an Arena League type enterprise. We've seen that the XFL was ahead of the NFL and those networks in some production aspects since concepts fashioned by the XFL were implemented in ESPN and the other various networks after it's demise. The fault was squarely on Vince as he did what he always does and rushed through it failing to realized that his name instantly ruined the credibility of the XFL. Had he sat back, built it along with NBC and stuck to being a primary shareholder of the XFL...he could have had moderate success instead of the flaming abomination that it became.

David Ross went David Ross on the Giants and put the Reds ahead. Castro provides a little insurance as they should hold on and that'll tie up the NL Central once again.

I'm not sure to be honest. I'm qualified to be manager but considering what I did in the past is completely different from this place...It'd be a difficult transistion. I think I don't want to have responsibility, so I'll prolly just stock and work as clerk/security. I go back tomorrow to meet with them for a non-interview interview.

Question, if a division race ends in a tie, the winner of the head to head wins the division right?
-
I thought Trips gave Batista a decent rub by dropping three high profile matches including a HIAC match and never getting those back. It certainly went a long way in making Batista the top face for Smackdown after beating HHH 3 times including HHH's supposed "match".

New content filled entries might help...maybe. People read mine but aside from WP and KKK, no one responds.

Actually, wasn't she the very first person shown on ECW tv?

There's no way he beats Beltran or Pujols just because the Phils make the WC. Finishing 10-18 games behind the Mets will only make it easier for Beltran to finish 1st/2nd with Howard looking like he's no better than # 3 right now. Mike Schmidt won the MVP award in 1986 when the Phillies finished about 20 games behind the Mets. Ripken won it in 1991, Dawson in 1987, Arod in 2003. So 4 guys out of 40 since 1986 won MVP's on shitty teams. What an awesome way to prove that Howard's gonna get it this year. It’s called precedent. While it isn’t common, it’s not impossible. Does that Howard will win? Not unless Pujols and Beltran tank the final 6 weeks of the season.

How can you forget Candice's exhibition dance with Kelly like in week 5?
