    UFC 61: Bitter Rivals

Me and my gf went out with her family tonight to go bowlin' and they had the fight airing on 3 projector screens right over the lanes and it was packed as they advertised it. It was quite the scene to see a huge crowd at a bowling alley watching UFC. You won't see that with wrestling shows. UFC is really catching on in a big way.

TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread

Strong wasn't going anywhere in TNA. He just didn't have the personality for a tv show. It took Strong awhile to get over in ROH. It's hard to expect a casual fanbase that TNA now presents itself towards to get into someone like Strong. Austin Aries is a charismatic performer with tons of personality and has already found stuff outside wrestling like nationally aired commericals with Cover Girl.

    The 58th Annual Emmy Nominations...

How did the episode when Foreman nearly died not get nominated? Omar Epps always gets screwed. He was fantastic on E.R back when E.R meant something and had a few good dramatic guest roles on other shows and those episodes of House were much better then anything from West Wing or Grey's Anatomy.
  6. Taken from Green Destiny: NOAH President Mitsuharu Misawa announced to day that during a routine medical checkup on the 19th, a CAT Scan found that Kenta Kobashi had a 4-5cm tumor in his right kidney. It is unclear at this stage, pre-extraction, whether the tumor is malignant. The course of treatment is still to be decided, with Kobashi recuperating at home. Due to this condition, Kobashi has been forced to cancel all upcoming bookings he is scheduled for, including his part in Takayama's dream return tag match. Kobashi made a statement, apologizing to both the man he was going to stand beside after a 2 year hiatus from the ring, Yoshihiro Takayama, and all the fans that were looking forward to the match. Kobashi said that it was the encouragement of the fans that he has continually received that will help him rally through his current condition, and that he was grateful for the continued support of the fans and hoped the fans would continue to support Pro Wrestling NOAH in his absence. Misawa made one final footnote to Kobashi's statement, stating that Kobashi's first concern upon learning of his condition was for the effect it would have on his wrestling matches, rather than his own body. Typical words for a man who has given so much for the sport of Professional Wrestling. ---------------- Tough news to hear about one of the best in the world. Hope for a speedy recovery.
  7. We need a round-table shoot of Luger, Jeff Hardy, Honky Tonk Man and Warrior.
  8. If this is true then I hope it happens cause I was a huge Hardyz mark. Jeff really needs to lay off the drugs first though. Drug-free Jeff Hardy isn't worth anything. Pump him with more drugs, I say.
  9. He found a nice crib for his girlfriend at a garage sale. So that might help.

    Meltzer WWE notes from F4Daily

How is his stage career working out for him? I've always figured the acting world was a natural place for Jericho.
  11. For as great as this WM is recognizable for, I barely remember this match and feud. Shane had just brought WCW before Vince could, Trish was Vince's mistress while Linda was in a comatose state. Stephanie was a face as the McMahon kids were against Vince for doing what he was doing to Linda. Foley got involved because I think he still had the magic contract and he was still angry at Vince, so he injected himself into the match as the referee. (There was talks of Foley/McMahon but that didn't work out). The match was the standard WWE: Sports Entertainment match. Shane hit a couple big spots including the debut of the Shane Terminator. Stephanie and Trish had a catfight outside the ring Linda came out of the coma (acting the whole time, so it was hinted) and she kicked Vince in the grapefruits(with the awkward moment of Vince spreading his legs for Linda).

Everyone saw Rob's ass-face right away when he came out and made the challenge. It's hard for some to not display it. RVD and Edge, are those kinds.

Reds are about to blow a 9-0 lead. Okay, maybe not but there was a moment.
  14. You know you want this. Description: Scheduled release date is 8/22/06. Just who is Vincent Kennedy McMahon? To some he is the sports entertainment innovator and visionary corporate leader of a multimillion dollar company. To others he is evil personified- the manipulative sadistic boss of a corral of WWE Superstars who takes great personal pleasure in making others suffer. Mr. McMahon has achieved stunning successes and experienced humiliating defeats and yet keeps coming back for more. What other boss requires his employees to literally kiss his bare ass on national television? This 2 disc production takes a look back at what caused Vince McMahon to come out of the announcer booth and right into some of the most controversial moments ever seen on television. My local network got rid of Smackdown and replaced it with a lifetime type movie.

    61. My blog has lost direction.

You can always just post more random pictures, that's never a -. Do movie reviews. (or porn scene reviews)... Or you can "judge" random wrestlers not for the meaningless stuff like workrate, talent or charisma but just plain fuckability.
  17. Trish is good friends with Stacy, I wonder if Trish has any ideas planted in her mind to leave WWE to pursue a career outside of wrestling like Stacy is.
  18. Also, Austin Aries will be in a COVER GIRL commerical with Keri Russell of Felicity and MI3 fame.

They weren't already? COFFEY. WEATHERS. You don't get more wild and frustrating then that. Krivsky does like the Minnesota guys though. Get who you know, I guess.
  20. No ECW involvement? I figured they at least do SABU Vs TBS or Dreamer/TBS.

    The 58th Annual Emmy Nominations...

I don't get why the EMMY's always need to give departing shows a big farewell deal. It's always undeserving shows like Will and Grace. Just give them a tribute during the show if you much praise them. Don't screw the ones who deserve it. I'll grant them the Six Feet Under nominations, however. I guess it's a matter of comfort for the voters because there is always people nominated consistantly even if they didn't particularly earn it.
  23. I would feel comfortable with placing Shawn highly as a performer, which is what he was and is. Shawn was pure performence and very little else. Shawn's strongest attributes were his ability to capture the spotlight by making it all about him, even if it meant sacrificing his dance partner in the ring. This is why he is held in such high regards to those that like that particular style because he was given carte blanche over the entire roster. He worked the crowd very nicely because of this. Shawn's weakness tremendously overweighed his positives, which is why Shawn isn't going stand the test of time. He has his share of quality entertainment but as a wrestler, he was below average. It's interesting to note how this always goes under the radar but Shawn is partially responsible for 2 of the best talents of the new millennium (Spanky and Danielson) and the latter has already eclipsed Shawn in every aspect of the business.

    Excellent Randy Orton Interview

It doesn't help when only Doane shows any sign of balls(taking the sledgehammer from HHH). They don't even come off equally. It's like the NWO B-Team but with Nash shoved into it and everyone knows Nash is miles ahead of Norton and Stevie Ray.
