Yep, it's fairly common knowledge that Vince essentially pushed Bret out the door once he knew WCW was calling. Bret offered to take a reduction. Bret, held off on answering Bischoff until the very latest moment possible. However, people like UTSU insist that Bret was bolting out the door with the title holding it hostage. When the fact was, Bret couldn't legally appear in WCW until weeks after Montreal, couldn't take the title with him (a lawsuit that would have drowned WCW, would have occured). Bret offered to do any situation other then jobbing to Shawn in Canada. He was willing to job it to Taker, Austin, Shamrock. There were over a dozen scenarios he offered to Vince.

They really failed to make WM22 any more interesting, they completely made Cena look like a joke. Trish/Mickie, didn't really go anywhere and they could have really done something good to make that much better but instead it was flat. Foley did a paint by numbers promo, Flair and Benjamin gave inspired efforts as Benjamin showed specks of a newfound attitide. A cute moment with TBS/Kane and Carlito/Masters isn't worth the suck that is to come. Shawn/McMahon continues to boggle the mind.

I decided to stop the personal bitchy-emo fest of my own and wanted to focus on this excellent piece of awesomeness. The Ballad of Lacey In case you don't know what that is, it's a hilarious music video of Jimmy Jacobs's love for Lacey. The video alone is worth checking out the entire storyline has been a fresh burst of energy for the wrestling business. While Vince McMahon and Triple H are destroying the babyfaces on Raw, Kurt Angle looking like a third wheel in the Mania program despite being the champion... You have this wonderful simplistic story that used the modern-day technologies of the Internet to advance storylines. It's a classic storyline "Wrestler falls for another girl, girl has no interest in him. Wrestler's blind love gets his ass kicked". What this does was add a intentionally hilarious take-off of that storyline, Jimmy Jacobs was already perfectly over the top at the shows, so much that he intentionally botched a top rope spot to put over the storyline. The lyrics to this song is a perfect blend of kayfabe and using IWC terms (the market that it's intended for). Jimmy Jacobs did all of this on his own, the video, the myspace and to really live out the storyline....He even stays in character on AIM. Right now, his away message reads "I <3 Lacey.". In a business where the top name in charge of the biggest monoply loves to shoot on national programing, you got guys like Jimmy Jacobs staying in character and using his own creativity to propel this storyline. This proves that if you let a wrestler be in charge of his character and gimmick, he will know what to do with it better then most writers ever do. The WWE and TNA, really don't have a handle on this. WWE could use creativity like this, in a big way.

Yes, but that hardly means he hasn't changed. Old Shawn would have thrown a fit and refused to do the show. Austin would maybe do the same thing now. New Shawn acted slightly unprofessional to someone that had it coming. Hogan had what coming? He played the exact same game that Shawn tried to play, only difference is that Hogan played it smarter.

This was an album that I found in my car not so long ago. I completely forgot about and I tossed that in and I re-loved it instantly. I even used "New Noise" in my school's graduation video, I suspect that I wasn't the first to do that or even the last.

I think that's partly why The Rock said he was never interested in working against him. Plus they both do the kip-up. UH OH. The Rock, puts anyone over. He even did a spot with Le Resistance, put over Eugene. The fact he wouldn't do a program with Shawn, just shows that Bret isn't the only one who is aware that Shawn isn't worth the headache and the bullshit.

If you want see WWE use their brain the right way for once in a blue moon, watch the segment after the Kane/Carlito match. Its the first time in forever, they did something that made sense.

Just watch the segment with TBS/Kane after the Carlito/Kane match and the first segment after that commercial break. Maybe the Part with Flair about 10:10. Skip the rest.
