Vince Gill loves Belmont!

Winthrop went Kent State in the second half.

Review: WWF WrestleMania VIII, from Indianapolis, Indiana, 4/5/1992.
Hawk 34 commented on a blog entry in LFC Blog
I watched WMVIII during the summer of 1992 all the time, I don't even know how many times I watched Piper/Hart yet I don't think I ever didn't FF the tag title match after my first viewing. This is also one of the very, very, very few VHS tapes I still own. I don't even own a VCR but I kept the live taping of this show because I loved the show and that summer that much. -
I believe you meant Belmont. WST is the one having issues with Winthrop. Good set of games here that are making up for the earlier games.
-
I picked Kansas State. Why would you pick a team led by OJ Mayo? I hope he enjoys his 3 year stint in the NBA.
-
He would've been as popular as Cena but not a bigger star. Same goes for Jericho whom is often lumped with RVD in this conversation.
-
He's bad and botches songs but people like him anyways. What's wrong with that comparison? A more accurate comparison actually is Kevin Corvais from season 5 and he lasted longer then he should have as well.

A lot of wasted vacation and sick days for these shitty games.

Amanda wasn't going to stick around longer anyways and once they can get Kristy to her own niche (which she wasn't going to get with Beatles) she'll have that chance to prove herself. Kristy isn't comparable to Sanjaya. Archie is more comparable to Sanjaya and the sad reality is that he'll go even further. I wouldn't make a big issue out of Carly being in the bottom three, I believe all winners or late contenders spent a week in the bottom three. It usually lets the viewers realize that they aren't as safe as they think. Paula was spot on about David Cook being smug and arrogant all the sudden. Cook knows he is on the Daughtry path right now and will run with it. I think Brooke might have surprassed Carly as the best female vocalist. What is the theme next week?

Kent State is a disgrace to the MAC. At least Miami played Oregon to the final possession last year.
-
That's exactly what I was saying. I don't think anyone actually believes it'll close the show because it shouldn't.
-
Mayweather is just claiming that the match is the marquee attraction. Which is a debatable claim since we'd have to see if there was a significant increase in buys from last year.
-
Are you sure about that? Nate the Great says to pick multiple upsets! I'm conflicted, King. Too many people claim to be experts on something that's completely arbitrary. On the same token, too many people have irrational reasoning for their questionable selections. Does anyone else have that guy at work/class who looks at multiple copies of bracket sheets throughout the day and tries to reason every single minute detail of every potential game? Of course you do, we all do.

Next year in Texas? Is there a leak on next year's WM location already? It hasn't been officially confirmed/announced by WWE but it'll be held in Houston at Reliant Stadium. This was covered in the comments thread about a week ago, so you might find more info there. Depends on how much Candice can work around it. They could have Maria work most of the match but that'd be a wreck. Mickie wouldn't fit since she's not Playboy connected. Ashley is pushed out and they aren't happy with her. Torrie is apparently injured.

You really can't go one single post without bringing up Louisville (not U of L), can you? You could have make your point without including them. Indiana-Louisville is no more or less appealing across the country then Oklahoma/Louisville would be.
-
Terry isn't in the HOF. It would seem as if it'd be more appros to induct him next year in Texas rather then this year. I don't think we should read into the fact the selection anouncment being revealed on ECW. It'd be nice if they started to honor the original ECW. Candice's injury was pretty obvious when she made that expression to Maria after the match as if to say "Not now, not again".

It shows that TBS can easily beat down the small guys, making the crowds more excited about the prospect of him doing the same to Mayweather.
-
No. He worked a handicap match on Smackdown a couple weeks ago.

I should note that not every match will be on PPV.
-
They can't get sixteen teams to play a couple more games? Wow.
-
Yeah, it's called the automatic bid rule. It's been around for awhile.
-
He's not your coach. You can call him Bob Knight, ESPN talking head, or asshole. You don't call him Coach Knight.

I'll wait up for that selection show.
