I figure it's safe to go for a couple upsets in the first round because first round pts aren't that much and as long as you balance it correctly and have a realistic and accurate bracket from the elite 8 and beyond, you can make up for those meaningless one pt losses you suffered by taking a upset. Trying for ALL upsets is a dumb move and expecting an upset to go into the S16 or beyond (as in #10-16) is stupid unless they have a really good match-up. Be smart and practical. Winthorp isn't going to reach the S16, no matter your gut thinks they will. Double seeded teams rarely reach the elite and trying to be the perfect picker and nailing it, you end up just choking yourself in the process.

Lots of potential for upsets in that little area. That's my schedule, and I'm leaning toward Utah St. in that 5/12 game. I actually pulled the trigger on the Utah St over Washington "upset", I have two 11's and 2 12's advancing in most pools. The lowest, I have is #14 Xavier in a couple smaller ($) pools and #14 So. Alabama in another.

These are the games, I am getting according to the info guide Oklahoma/Wisc. Milwaukee Alabama/Marquette Gonzaga/Xavier Indiana/San Diego St. Two of those games, I'm actually interested in. I got Wisc.-Milwaukee in virtually every bracket. 'Bama/Marquette is your standard meaningless 7/10 game. You know, Benoit being a first class worker is sort of surprising considering the other first class roster.

Speaking of which, I am on spring break right now so I don't have to worry about class. However, I'm scheduled for work during the first two blocks of games, but luckily I'll be able to watch the game since my boss is a fanatic and he figures if he has a tv playing the game but on mute, he won't have to worry about sudden illness's spreading. Is anyone else doing anything to skip class/work? Traditionally I would skip class. I never cared how obvious it was.

Keep in mind that all the radicalz took low salary costs to get to WWE. The reason that Eddie's base salary was so low was because he took that contract in 2000 (and I'm guessing his new contract in 2002 was probably about the same or even lower, given the circumstances). The bonuses probably brought that yearly salary up.

He signed a small deal in 2002, that was below six figures. He makes up for it in other ways (i.e Merch)

Kroger's basically brought out all the Thriftways that shut down. Which was a good thing because like ST mentioned, Thriftway was atrocious in every regard. I used to live across a Thriftway and even then, My mother would drive out 15 miles to go to Krogers (this was before there was a Krogers at every block in the area). I like Biggs and there's one exactly 5 minutes from me, but when pressed I will take Krogers or Meijers over Biggs. Kroger for the conveience and Meijers for the better sales. Biggs does have a better deli, however. If I want good deli, I'd go to the local deli instead of the grocrey store.

I got family in Middletown and I attend a night class in the Middletown branch of Miami University. Yeah, Middletown isn't the nice city I hear it was 10-15 years ago. Bunch of closed down stores and even the mall there is barely functional. It's not quite at dump city levels because they have a decent section of town smothered with the americanized resturants like Golden Corral, Olive Garden, Applebee's and some stores and such but it's hardly a quality town. If it ever was.

My local chain buys anything, stratched or not. They don't sell them, if they are stratched. They are pretty anal about the whole no-selling stratched used dvd's/cd's. I brought one DVD, opened it in the car and noticed it had a few stratches and walked back inside. What did they do? Took the stratched version of the DVD, laid it down and wiped it down. The guy at the desk went to the back and handed me a new version of the movie I brought and said "no charge. take care". That's fucking service right there.

Wow. If this translates to a WrestleMania match for Paul, i'm happy. I was expecting Noble/Helms actually, but I guess if MnM does get a spot at Mania (as they should, since TBS/Kane are booked against CC/CM) it'll be MnM Vs Mexi-Cool's.

I'm guessing Matt and Booker T will probably fill out the MITB match, or they find a way to stick Lashley into the MITB. Regal w/Jillian is interesting but I doubt it will be something beyond this one show.

I like Lacuna Coil enough and saw them in a 20 minute spot at Ozzfest before where they opened the second stage @ 9:30 in the morning and probably was the best act for most of the day. How did they get so "big" and score a main stage spot? Is Megadeth doing Gigantour again? Also, I thought Ozzy was doing a limited schedule? Doesn't that basically mean SOAD is headlining most of these shows?

No, Dama isn't being disloyal. If he is playing in a pool, he has to pick with his brain and not his heart. For instance, if you are from a #16 seed school, and you are doing a pool, you know common sense is that your school won't win. Is that being dis-loyal? No, it's doing what it takes to make money. It's a conflict people ALWAYS have to take unless you are from/for a school with a legitimate shot. At some point, you have to give up the hope that your school/team will win out.

Wow, the internet really can turn on anyone. I'm not turning on anyone. The match sucked. Everyone more or less knew it would suck going in, and they didn't disprove anything. RVD and shelton shouldn't be depushed over this, but they certainly dont need to face eachother ever again. I was commenting on how everyone made up their minds the match would suck before it even started. We were right. Shelton and RVD was probably the worst combination they could come up with. One has a problem with botching spots and the other is strictly a spot machine. That's not turning on him. That's recognizing the obvious. Come WM, they will get to do their spots and the botches will be ignored and everyone, once they stop bitching about Flair going over will praise these two for being the "BEST ATHLETES IN THE WWE! THEY SHOULD MAIN EVENT WM23!!" and forget this abomination of a match existed today. I mean, shit, even AJ Styles can have a good match with fellow spot monkeys. Shelton and RVD couldn't.

They explained the Monty title shot. Monty told Christian he wanted a shot and Christian said bring it on. Christian's whole title gimmick is if you want the title shot, have the guts to bring it and ask him. No #1 contender matches, just say you want a shot and you get a shot. It was his first title promo on IMPACT actually. Besides, doesn't Abyss have like 3 promised title shots from 2005 still left unclaimed?

It should be Christian/Sting/Dudleyz/Killings Vs Jarrett/Abyss/AMW/Shelley for war-games. They should have 6 matches only, no sense in having non-issue involved cage matches.

Just to point this out, the marky-ist city in America, that was rabid for Cena...didn't even react to Orton's dastardly run-in. If mark-city doesn't give a shit that you put down the very over star...you really aren't over.
