Well, that's because Jerry has been doing that role for 15 years and WWE makes a good effort to put over their past with the dvd releases and stuff on 24/7. He's still put over as a great wrestler to this day on Raw telecasts.

I don't want to get Cabbage on you but Kentucky fans aren't concerned about how Tubby does with a Big Ten school. Tubby wasn't let go anyways, he left Kentucky. One down year is a difficult thing for that fanatic (I dont mean that with a smile) fanbase but the long term is still better for all parties involved with Tubby out of Lexington. Minnesota isn't in a better posistion tonight then Kentucky is.

Could they move the games to another local site, such as the Phillips Arena or other college venues? Not that it really matters, it's the SEC.
-
I'm pretty sure WWF didn't need him to stay any longer then he did but the longer he stuck around, the more desperate each party would have came off.
-
He would have done nothing differently with his life, regardless of how he chose to make his money. Tyson would not have been able to handle a professional wrestling career. Everything with Tyson was done right and to compare this with Mayweather is a horrible move to make.

Nothing more substantial then what we've done here. Same goes for Cena-Batista for WM25 as well as Edge-HHH. Those are the three biggest matches WWE could offer, in house, for next year's event which I would imagine is going to be heavily promoted like XX. Edit: BL, they did follow up on the 07 Rumble finish with this year's Rumble. In fact, if WM25 with those two becomes a reality, it should be set up in the 2009 edition of the Rumble. Just have those two in the ring alone in the middle of it and they go all out, eliminating each other.

She still made the right move. She was on a couple episodes of George Lopez and a regular on "What About Brian?".
-
That's just superfluous booking right there because those two are likely to go longer then another year. It'd actually take away from that match to tack on that stipulation. It should be about two long time rivals with many classic matches and moments to their credit at WM finally facing each other on that biggest stage, especially in their home state.

You're thinking of football. This doesn't happen near as much in basketball. It does happen as often, if not more, in basketball. I'm sure UCLA scheduled those games against Yale, Youngstown St, Idaho State, UC Davis, and Western Illinois because they thought those teams offered a competitive game. The same goes for all top rated schools. Those games are nothing but mere exhibition games for big name schools to fill their arenas. The small schools have no choice to accept the "honor" of traveling cross country during the school year with the very faint hopes that they might catch that powerhouse team on an off day and get some attention that they could never obtain on their own.
-
Don't forget that WM25 will take place in Houston, which happens to be their home state. This time next year, neither should be in the title picture and this match would eliminate any talk of "Should they end the streak here", since Shawn losing at WM is as much of a tradition as Undertaker's streak.

No. This angle is predicated on Mayweather's cocky personality and desire to promote himself and Hatton isn't as widely known as Mayweather is. Just imagine how big a deal it would be if De La Hoya agreed to do it as the original plan called for.
-
No. They have subtle differences, the first two have different fonts and placement as the third one is an entirely different design. WWE has done worse and I approve that it doesn't have the usual black shirt/white text/stupid catchphase as they once commonly used. Not everyone should have the Affliction based shirts.

Who even mentioned the prospect of Mayweather doing the job? No one seriously doubts the actual result but rather the events that determine it. TBS is respected by the company unlike Bigelow was in 1995, they'll make sure to protect Show as much as they can. The logical finish is the one we all discussed and largely agreed upon. The lone debate directly tied to Mayweather is the question of "Does he get a cheap punch in prior to the finish or the basic opportunistic cover?" Personally, the former would properly suit the entire feud.

Review: WWF WrestleMania X8, from Toronto, Ontario, 3/17/2002.

Believe it or not, but Kane and Angle had an even better match either before or after WMX8. This remains as the lone WM I've not seen in completion (only the Angle/Kane, Jericho/HHH and Rock/Hogan match) I have it from the Anthology series but I've never felt compelled to do that. I'll be forced to when I start my WM countdown on WM weekend but I'm not looking forward to it, not even on a curiosity level. The whole match-up making for this card was a mess. Two mid-card titles matches going under 7 minutes while giving what appears to be as shitty as it looks tag match over 15 minutes? They should have just made it B&C Vs Hardys straight up and cut the time in half. You're right, Austin in the midcard was just wrong. I know Nash was supposedly hurt at the time (although he got involved anyways) but they couldn't pair Austin with someone and prop Nash on the apron for a more appealing lead-in to the rightful main event? Not only was Jericho-HHH the most underwhelming title match in the performence aspect but the build was historically atrocious. How hard was it to book a revenge storyline? The fucking dog and Stephanie was stupid for a mid-card match, much less for a WM main event. -
He's right. Seventeen is over the autograph age limit.

As I called last night, David H is gone and that's a good thing, as he offered nothing at all. At least Kristy Lee has a niche, looks and a personality. I'm not happy that they'll re-use the Beatles catalouge next week. I know it's supposed to be a big deal having the right to those songs but they clearly had to see that over half of the performers were below average.
-
No, he wouldn't last four rounds in a legitimate boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. I don't need to further expound on why that was yet another absolute brain dead comment from you.
-
I've always been under the impression that smart fans cared about that kind of stuff way more than the wrestlers do. Titles, pushes, etc. don't really mean all that much unless it leads to them getting more money. Yeah, it's a passion for some, but many of the guys just accept it as business. Which, according to Greek's report, is exactly what Punk was saying, "As long as they pay me". Greek shouldve been clued in right there before he smarked out the rest of the night.

That'd be cute for Backlash but not WM. I don't think Colin has garnered a big enough support right now to warrant that type of moment at that stage. I'd much rather see Dreamer win the Battle Royal if it isn't Kane. I'm going to throw a surprise name out and say Matt Hardy. Sure, he hasn't finished his deal with MVP but Matt winning the Battle Royal unannounced and beating Chavo would go over quite well. I also believe MVP-Matt would never recapture what they had before his injury. I'm not saying it will happen but Chavo's role here really limited the options since most of the names left are absolute low level mid card acts with no direction or heels.

Being an immature prick is a punishable offense in the pro wrestling business?
-
Randy Orton will main event WM. How can he qualify as the biggest fuck up? Guys like Marty are greater examples because he had constant opportunities and blew every single one of them.
-
Kane deserves a gold watch title run at the very least for the shit he has been given over the years. Winning at WM would be a bonus.
-
You didn't really think the tag titles were going to be defended, did you? I'm fine with it. I'd take that over a meaningless 4 corners match like WMXX had. That leaves one open spot.
-
That's correct. That leaves two spots open.
-
He didn't job. That's a rarity for hometown acts. It was the most logical way to finish. He couldn't hit GTS, his springboard lariat failed the last time he tried it on BDV. Anaconda has been erased. Countout was the only option. Shelton's comments gives me hope that we'll see them next week.
