8/14: Lord Of My Manor, Not Of My Ring
Hawk 34 commented on kkktookmybabyaway's blog entry in KK's Korner
If I ever tie the knot (what does that mean, anyways?, is it a metaphor for how marriage squeezes out your life as you knew it?) I'll probably opt not to take the ring route. I've seen many lose the ring, including someone I know from my old job who lost the ring during the honeymoon activity itself. -
Ugh. I already can't stand the never-ending season. You play for ten months out of the year, in 300 games lasting 5 hours each to make the playoffs, and then you're gone after a week. Everything about baseball needs to be more compact. The playoffs don't have to be longer, but I won't put up with meaningless teams playing longer than they have to. Simple solution: You don't have to watch. Well, I don't really have to do anything. But, I like to watch meaningful games, that's why I don't like the season being so long. Didn't you notice that the last week of baseball was loaded with meaningful games? In the NBA, you're lucky to see a battle for 8th seed in the final week of play.

I thought he made it clear that they were fuck buddies.

Jericho spoke warmly of HHH recently, so he's playing the game now.

Rematch of BFG main event planned for Impact
Hawk 34 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
WHAT?!?!?!!?!? The Should Have only been a 1 time only MATCH!!!!!!!!! DAMMIT!!!! Well, then we wouldn't have had the match last night. -
I consider that a part of Shawn's ego, the need to be in the spotlight. If they asked Shawn to come back for a mid-card deal with Kennedy, do you think he would have jumped ahead so soon? Probably not.
-
Shawn had the ability to say "No, not yet". I don't feel the slightest bit of remorse that his ego wanted to get back into a main event spotlight.

I believe Dunn played a few times at first and was abysmal but I do agree that as long as they intend to keep Junior around, they'll have to shift Dunn back to first. I believe Hamilton used to catch, maybe they'll consider giving that a shot since they aren't strong at catcher to begin with anyways.
-
The Reds strongly implied they will sign Adam Dunn to a long term deal. Which probably upsets the city just as much as the Baker hiring has. Dunn just isn't scrappy like Ryan Freel.

This reminds me when Jarrett worked three matches in one night before Souled Out in 2000. We all remember what happened there. I guess they figure saving HIAC for a Shawn/Orton or 'Taker/Batista blowoff down the road possibly at SS or Armageddon would be better served then using it at CS.

I'm shocked you actually brought a ring. -
Bound for Glory taking place in Atlanta
Hawk 34 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
Did Angle intend to do a knee drop? Seemed as if he messed up and just dropped his knees instead. That was a insane move for someone of his history to be taking. Fine enough main event and throughly decent PPV. -
I bet someone in the writers room has already written up a Benoit sketch.

It's free PPV, how is he being a dick? I don't care what language its in, I'm muting Don West and Tenay anyways. -

Sounds like they're doing their best not to kill the Atlanta crowd for the future. That, or they are saving the mother of all run-in fests for the title match. Maybe Kurt got his way with the clean finishes complaint. From what I have watched tonight, I have to say this hasn't been all that bad. The Joe match was good stuff, real good stuff. I had no problem with Tomko and AJ, they didn't factor in the finish at all. -
I think I won, wow.

Bound for Glory taking place in Atlanta

That's one of the drawbacks of TNA. Even ECW moved around. They can maintain Orlando as the "home base" but they need to do other PPVs from other venues. -

How many in the woman's match are under contract? I thought a few were just one night deals. -

That is precisely when my connection went out. TNA might have something here. -

My connection went out, who won the ladies match? -
Sadly, WWE and those within will take it as that while there are far greater acts of immaturity and lack of professionalism running rampant.
-
They made it clear they understand the backlash that was going to occur and are willing to take it. They made some valid points and I can't blame them for changing their minds about slaving to a 300 day a year schedule, if they can make a living somewhere else and still be happy. I know it's hard to believe but some people can say no to WWE.

So, he got fired for being Teddy Hart.

No one wants to read Marvin prattle on about the RAVENS and KYLE BOLLER or put up with pages of dolts lamenting their fantasy misfortunes but we're stuck with that like we are with NBC's insistence on putting over their golden boy, quality be damned.
