I loved it, probably my favorite movie of the year. Don't understand the comparison to Napoleon Dynamite, this movie was a one of a kind thing and that made it for me. The extra's might of been the best thing about this movie, the dull, almost catatonic hispanic character has never been used better. And the lowbrow stuff made the movie for me. The shit smear and arrow with his little run away thing was my favorite part. Great physical comedy and a nice touching story that made me come close to shedding tears. If you hated this movie, I'm sure it hated you back. Instant classic thats going in my dvd collection the second it comes out. Note: I was incredibly stoned when I saw it but that in no way affected my judgement.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the season's gonna end with a holy shit peice of information that just opens the door for 249723927 more questions. Either way they better deliver on the whole "we'll know what caused the plane to crash by the end of season 2" promise.

Short answer, just because someone or 10 million someones like something and scream from the highest rooftop that it's the best thing ever, doesn't make it so. People don't have to exclusively love the best of the best of whatever, but telling me that Cannibal Corpse is better than Morbid Angel, or Black Witchery is better than Darkthrone, or Coldplay is better than Kraftwerk just because you like them better will get you laughed at. Heartily. Why is this the only thing people can come up with when called on elitism? If 10 million people enjoying something doesn't make it good, how does one person not enjoying it make it bad? If I'm looking for music to enjoy, I'm gonna go with the millions of dancing lemmings before I go with the 6-7 stiffs arguing over who has the more thought provoking guitar solo.... Quality is subjective. 'Kraftwerk is better than Coldplay' isn't a statement of fact, it's an opinion, and debating for 3 months or laughing heartily isn't gonna change that.

I hate this general notion that we're obviously more advanced than animals because they can't talk or show compassion or do word problems. Animals are programmed to do what they can to survive, all animals. Just because we have a thought process that inhibits that in favor of a better emotional state doesn't mean all other species are half-retarded people who would be nice to eachother if they knew what it meant. We need to start following the lead of bears.

I don't like the arguement about turning the cheek because of PETA. I can't stand PETA, but I'd be a hypocrite if I let their actions in the name of saving animals make me turn my cheek at what's nothing more than torture. If your offended by how they act it's most likely because they represent animal lovers horribly. How does turning the cheek to spite them help anything? And killing an animal that doesn't want to die isn't humane, so there's no humane way to do it. Fucking chinkadians....

I think a hospital would be more careful than to let someone who's traumatized for causing an accident and someone traumatized for being in the accident wander about the same parts. I think the episode last night was all about throwing people off the trail. With so many developements about what's really happening, they needed to make us question everything again. Having half the audience think the entire thing is in Hurley's head is a great way to do that. My guess is she's the most important, in terms of figuring out who they really are, "other" we've met so far.

Jesus some of you are thick. Cena is OVER. He's getting huge reactions and people either want to see him win or lose. A large portion of the WWE audience is TIRED of HHH. You make money when people care about a wrestler, not when they're indifferent. If Cena's hated enough to turn HHH face, you don't rush a heel turn because you have no choice, you give him something that will keep the focus on him(a title) and do a smart turn over a month or so. WWE isn't hellbent on keeping Cena a face, they're hellbent on keeping him a face until they're ready to turn him. If they fuck up the turn, bitch then, don't bitch because they don't let the audience define characters for them. For all the bitching about them hotshotting and playing to the crowd over doing the right thing, you'd think someone would of picked up on this.

I know, that's what's throwing me off. It's an unsigned diary entry on ABC.com that was linked from the recap. Any idea's on it's significance?

I thought it was a week until the next episode so I missed this like an idiot. Reading the recap on ABC.com I noticed something strange that maybe I'm just not peicing together correctly. At the end is a link to a diary entry that reads.... "Something must be done. I've just learned that my brother is being held in the hatch as a suspected "other". And from what I've heard, his treatment has been less than.... humane. Who do these people think they are? Judge and jury? What gives them the right? This is not their court. This is not their island. Something must be done.... I confronted Locke today and demanded to be let into the armory to see my brother. But all Locke continues to do is deny his very existence. I can tell by the way he looks at me that he's lying and I am going to find out the truth." Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....Thoughts? And if anyone can describe what he said at the end of the episode, I'd be HUGELY grateful. Thanks.
