mark 1 botch for RVD
-
Why are Rey and RVD opening the show?
-
I called it. Two sets of announcers.
-
I was one of the hopefulls that ECW would be a success, but now... after seeing last night's show, and reading the card.... I agree with you 100%. I think I'm done with watching wrestling.
-
I thought the show sucked ass. I'm not even going to order the PPV this sunday because half the card announced is WWE talent. Way to go McMahon!
-
I bet you it's some MMA guy.
-
Cena should just use Chris Chetti's move.
-
Yeah because people just loooooooove Triple H. Sorry all I hear for Cena when he comes out is the high-pitched yells and screams of would-be rats scattered throughout the arena. I agree. The crowd as a whole is behind Triple H more than they are Cena.
-
I still wear my DX shirt. Does that make me a loser?
-
After talking with some friends about this... and how there arent many matches announced, and how they are throwing some together the last minute... I realized something. That's pretty much what ECW was about. I can't tell you how many times I would order a PPV only knowing that the main event was going to be Taz vs. Douglas (for example) I feel a bit better about it now, I just hope that they don't do this WWE vs ECW thing... Because isn't that what the supershow is for?

I am the sole writer of said news site, and at no point have I ever copied and pasted a block of thousands of words of text from anyone's newsletter. Maybe two times ever have I ever printed two or three paragraphs from a newsletter word for word, which you see all the time in books and newspapers. You are a smart guy, you know the difference between using an excerpt and an actually taking the time to physically convert a hard copy of a newsletter to digital format so that people can read it without paying for it. I am sure you simply a nice guy trying to spread the wealth, I don't think you mean any harm. This is all. So, did you get permission then? I hate to break it to you, but using the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Pro-Wrestling Torch Newsletter and books written on wrestling to explore the history of the sport is a little something that they call "research". It's how virtually every piece of non-fiction ever written was compiled. You don't need permission to transcribe a 200 word quote, you just need to give proper credit. As I have found in discussing local politics online with fellow residents of my area, the local newspaper will not attempt to sue you for copying and pasting two paragraphs worth of one of their stories and then linking to the full story or crediting the paper and the author. If you copy and paste the text of an entire story, you'll be hearing from their lawyers. I don't know what point you are possibly trying to make. There is absolutely no comparison between transcribing over 15,000 words of a current newsletter with the express consent of giving people a reason to be cheap and NOT subscribe to it and saying "here are some things Bill Watts said in an issue of the Pro-Wrestling Torch from fifteen years ago that isn't even available to purchase or in their digital archives". Try to discredit me all you want, it still won't change the fact that posting 15,627 words of this weeks Wrestling Observer Newsletter is wrong. Didn't you say you were done like.... 2 pages ago? Get over your self rightous self. Anyways. Does the E remind anyone else of the dying days of WCW?

They just need something hot and fresh. It seems like I've been watching Triple H do the same shit for 5 years....... I'm sur he has too.
-
Do they expect hot crowds for these shows? I used to get burnt out at the RAW tapings when they would tape Heat and RAW... *sigh* I guess it's just a wait and see type of thing.
-
I wasn't aware that this was debate club. I'm sorry for stating that you're a hipocritical piece of shit. Like I said, if you don't like it and you are that against it then don't fucking read it when it's posted. Just go subscribe to it, read it on your own time.

Angle vs. Tanaka at ONS would be an amazing match to watch. Book it!
-
I have already won the argument. Nobody can give me a reason why stealing Dave's work is acceptable. So, you are going to sit here and say that stealing his work is unaceptable? That's fine. Good for you. I still think you're a hipocrite. Are you really going to sit here and preach to us on an internet message board about stealing someones work when you yourself have probably downloaded MP3s that artists worked on, or downloaded a movie, or a match, or something that should have been paid for? If you can honestly say that you havn't done anything of the sort then I respect that, but just because we choose to do something doesn't mean you need to play the parental roll and tell us what we should and should not do. Face it. We've all done something to 'steal' someones work. If you don't like it, or it makes you feel dirty because you are an oh-so-pure being, then don't fucking read it. Back to Topic... Booker T rules.

So ECW is going to run after Smackdown... That makes perfect sense you know, because ECW isn't supposed to be separate from WWE or anything. I'm losing faith in this idea. Call me a nay sayer, but jesus christ... Do they really expect this thing to take off when they are taping it after Smackdown?
-
Mike Awesome has been injured a lot lately. So does this mean we won't be seeing Tanaka at the PPV? Any word that Jericho might come back to the new ECW or is he done with wrestling? What are some of the matches booked so far? And some of the possible matches?
-
So, I didn't get to catch the show. From what I understand Heyman gets to pick one wrestler from Smackdown and RAW. I know he chose Angle, but did he pick anyone from the RAW roster?
-
I don't like RVD nearly as much as I used to. He's sloppy as hell, and he holds back on nearly every single one of his moves. I don't know if we will ever get the late 90's RVD back, so instead of keeping him the same character he has been, turn him heel to fued with someone in ECW. I liked the idea of him going against Paul E. to keep him somewhat fresh.
-
Isn't it Ron Simmons?
-
Heh, atleast I'm not in last place!
-
Bdubs runs PPVs, Hooters runs PPVs and some Roosters run PPVs. Just gotta find out which ones and go. That's how I catch the PPVs.
-
If the world were a perfect place, The McMahons would lose their egos and wrestling would actually be more than 'just watchable' for a change. I remember in the late 90's I was proud to be a wrestling fan, because all 3 companies were putting out a good product. Now, it's almost taboo again to like wrestling. Oh, and get rid of Steph please. She's horrid.
-
Hmm, JBL retires... Smackdown is really in a lot of trouble, maybe that's why they are going to group it and ECW together.
