This is TNA we talking about, they will never spend money on proper promotion and if they did it will be something like taking ads out during Raw. TNA can sign Shamrock,Sapp and Puder all tomorrow and still would draw low buyrates and ratings. Raven getting Val can be simple brainwashing. That's always been one of his trademarks.Whatever happen to Cassidy Reilly?
-
Bob Sapp is worthless to the American audience though. It would be like signing Sting except a guy who has never wrestle in front of an American audience. Didn't he use to be a powerplant guy in WCW?

I thought it was resolve during the whole Raven/Larry feud?

I think the primetime special is TNA's last chance of getting new fans and securing their number 2 position. If the primetime special fail to live up to the hype(not just ratings wise but Genesis buyrate and critical success) then TNA will never get past the hump. The penny ppv help draw new fans and was a great idea. Their first primetime specials with Best Damn Sport failed horribly.Their first primetime on Spike was a critical success but failed in the ratings and as a ppv seller. The New Years Eve two part special help push ppv buys for Sting return but that's it. After reading the spoilers, the shows come off as decent but nothing really happens that will make fans go wild other than the Angle match which not be enough. I personally think TNA should of did more with the Primetime special. They should of pay extra out the pockets to make it a LIVE show. They should of revamp the company image from new logo, ring look, entrance look to basically everything. The only thing I heard them change was the opening video. This is TNA's version of April 10,2000. I don't think TNA is on it's death bed or anything like that but their number 2 spot can easily be challenge at the moment and it should not be threaten in the first place. The next wrestling show not related to WWE that come on national tv have a shot at TNA number 2 spot. WSX went from being a sh!tty looking show to a new concept in wrestling that might be unpopular around here but if their show end up doing better or closer ratings to Impact, TNA should be scare. I was just watching NWA Pro on Mav TV.com and it amazes how they got better production values than TNA and can draw 3000 people to the show(they must of promoted Santo).

Raven's Flock is going to be great if they let them be corny and crazy like the Dungeon of Doom but knowing TNA they will job them out like they doing with Paparazzi productions.

**SPOILERS** TNA Impact results for the next two weeks
GODSON replied to CubbyBr's topic in TNA Wrestling
According to Konnan on WOL, Russo DID NOT write the shows and just contribute ideas. Dutch and Jeff wrote the shows. -
My friend since childhood Tyree Evans will be making his Kansas St debut this year. He will be a freshman but is 22 years old. He is a great shooter and probably one the best defensive players in the country. He got an offer to try out with the Suns. He got in trouble a year ago which prevented him going to Cinci.
-
Kanyon is seriously started to turn into one of the best characters in wrestling. The guy might sound like a jackass but he will be an awesome heel to go with his good workrate skills. I'm surprise nobody is using him but then again HE's OUT THE CLOSET.
-
I currently switch up As today, AJ Styles, Robert Roode,Austin Star and Hernandez is my favorites at the moment. AJ Styles is in my opinion the best performer in the world and play his gimmick to perfection. He is the most consistent thing in TNA history. Roode, am starting to love his character. I always thought he was solid in the ring but needed a new gimmick. I know people hate him but that's his job, he is an annoying heel. Austin Starr, is great in the ring, have an awesome gimmick, look like a mini Jesse Ventura and now the star of Paparazzi productions. Hernandez is just a beast. He reminds me of a very early Stone Cold Steve Austin right after he won the King of the Ring. Joe is not as cool as these guys.

I have a few reasons why ratings are low: 1. TNA have established a reputation among wrestling fans and other viewers,it might be a little too late to change their minds. I think people already decided if they like TNA or not. It's a similar situation to early 90's WCW. The WCW product from 91-93 was actually pretty good but they was losing more money than TNA is right now. At that point, the fans look at WCW as a low budget, southern wrestling company(that's why people like Rick Scaia never like WCW or TNA). The fans made up their minds and will not even give them a second chance. Even half of the internet smarks don't watch/like TNA which is kinda sad. TNA have to step up their production game BIG TIME and maybe more people will pay attention? 2. Taped shows usually do bad in ratings, look at ECW ratings as an example. They doing only 1.6 with WWE hype machine/money around them. 3. The timeslot is a problem, plain and simple. How can you grow in that timeslot? Going back to number 1,it might be too late to move into the 9pm slot because the fans already made up their minds. TNA should of sign with WGN when there was a buzz around the company and got that two hour Monday Slot, live every other week from 8-10. I seriously think the company would be in a better position, not on a competition level but in general. 4. WWE brainwash most wrestling fans and it's extremely hard to build a strong tv audience.

I can find Choco Tacos in every grocery store especially Wal Mart or Food Lion. Choco Tacos is great but it taste no different from a nutty butty.

Bound For Glory is 5-6 weeks away and there is no thread for it. I already see a Wrestlemania thread. Is you guys excited? Is you guys ordering the ppv? What's your predictions? The main event has already been confirm. Sabin vs. Senshi part 2 seems like it will happen with the X title on the line. LAX vs. AJ/Daniels will most likely happen and they might add either Team 3d or Naturals to the feud. Cage and Rhino will continue to battle it out. Joe is free and so is Monty Brown, TNA should make the match happen. I possibly see a Monster ball match involving AByss,Runt and Raven. Storm vs. Harris might face each other since TNA teasing a break up. Austin Starr and Bobby Roode appearances. I went from being hype to not really given a damn about this ppv since TNA is not doing a hard push for it. Other than Austin Starr appearance, nothing stands out.
-
I heard the show at VCU was a ppv test run and they only drew a 1000 in arena that can hold up to 6000 people?

**SPOILERS** TNA Impact results for the next two weeks
GODSON replied to CubbyBr's topic in TNA Wrestling
But the video packages make things look 5x more exciting. -
They as in Russo. Seriously, Russo has a hard on for AJ Styles and think that nobody in the decision can make the matches seem important than AJ Styles. I actually like for Joe streak to end, they mightest well get it out the way now. I think it's getting lame and serve no purpose anymore. Angle beats Joe,Joe beats Angle,Joe then wins the world title and a build up to Joe vs. Angle part 3/rubber match over the World title. Sounds great too me. But Genesis looks great according to those reports.
-
But thirteen years ago WCW didn't have something like the UFC on the same channel, much less as a lead-in. When someone is watching the UFC, with the production and the set-up as real as it is, and then TNA comes on with the tuxedos and facial expressions of Mike Tenay and the Don West's screaming, it just comes off as second rate and fake. THey have guys like LAX, Joe/Angle, and Senshi that can really bring you in and make you believe what they're doing but the typre of environment they're presented in takes away from that. I know that's not the only problem they have but it's something that can change perception of the company. TUF and Impact ratings is not that far apart anymore, just two weeks ago they were a .1 off.
-
People need to stop complaining about the Impact Zone because Detroit and Philly fans does the same chants during TNA shows. It's a worldwide thing with TNA instead of an Impact ZOne cliche.
-
It took 10 months for Sting to finally win the title and hopefully end the JJ/Sting feud. This feud was boring during the last 4 months and sometimes did not make sense but Sting won the title in the most logical fashion as possible. The babyface won the war. New champions was crown tonight. The Russo era starts Tuesday. Will Jarrett be there?
-
Actually, it was for fun and just something fancy. This feud is strictly based off friendship.
