I am prepared to give reasons for or defend my picks for each position. For example, Nightcrawler will be a wicked blitzer from the FS position. These were thoroughly thought out, and yes, I have too much time on my hands.

So I am checking out new posts and this thread made me curious. I clicked on the link to the blog, and it went to my myspace blog, complete with phony pic I took from mulletsgalore.com. Is this a mistake that myspace logs me into MY blog, or is this a big coincidence that someone randomly found my myspace page (which is not linked or mentioned anywhere on this site), and used it as a joke thread thinking the pic was real? If anyone else clicks the link and they get a mullet guy talking about a trip to Louisville, let me know. EDIT---Nevermind, I see a similar problem two posts ahead of mine. Well, I never posted at ncaabbs.com because I thought their was a lot of idiots on there (Marshall fans very much included). Marshall was a perennial winner in the MAC, and it is easy to be hated by the other schools when you are on top. Had we stayed in the MAC, we would probably have had losing seasons like we have done the past two years in C-USA, and would have eaten some crow. Then it might not be so easy to hate us. A LOT of our fans enjoy talking with visiting teams' fans and showing hospitality. We were afforded that same luxury at most schools in the MAC, and I miss that. C-USA has been hit or miss so far, but for the majority, we have ran into good fans. Now, to keep this topic on track... I went to a private screening of this movie last night. I, of course, am biased as it is about my town and my team. However, I thought there were some great performances. The audience definitely felt the emotion, as many of them had direct ties to those that passed away, and all of us had an emotional tie to some degree. Still, I think someone without a tie to the campus will still feel what the actors and actresses are conveying. There is a good balance of lightheartedness throughout the movie so it is not just dark the entire time. I think Ian McShane (Swearengen from Deadwood) was great in this movie, David Strathairn did a great job, and Anthony Mackie played an awesome role. McConaughey and Fox were terrific as well. Like I said, I am biased, but the movie was very well done in my opinion.

For what it's worth, Marshall fans liked Kent State when we were in the MAC. We hated Miami due to the Terry Hoeppner incident, and hated Toledo because, well....they are Toledo. The rest of the teams we enjoyed playing and loved the travelling that MAC fans do for away games.

Marshall University, named after Supreme Court Chief Justice John Marshall. Some of the people to go to Marshall are Billy Crystal (played second base on the baseball team), Randy Moss, Chad Pennington, Jason Williams (transferred to Florida to follow basketball coach Billy Donovan), Byron Leftwich, and Troy Brown. There have been many more athletes to make it to the pros, but those were the big stars. Well, Crystal is known for his comedy, not athletics. Marshall is on a decline right now as far as football goes, but they were the most winningest team in college football in the 90s. They won a couple of I-AA National Championships before moving back up to I-A in 1997. Even with the rebuilding years since Leftwich left, we have beaten a 6th rated team in their stadium (Kansas State 2003), had Ohio State beat at OSU in 2004, and have played close with several big time programs. I feel the Thundering Herd will get back to consistent winning seasons in the next couple of years due to the recruiting going on here right now, and this movie should help out in that area. The movie is about the team's plane crash killing the entire team, coaches, boosters and fans on the way home from East Carolina, and the decision to continue to field a football program the next year.

I can see what you are saying, but this is not a capitalization on a football story because of the football movies that came before it. It is more about rising from disaster and how it affected a community.

Wait. It's stupid to get mad at because TNA charges the same for ringside PPV seats that WWE does for ringside house show seats? Yeah that struck me, I assumed they were saying the WWE prices were stupid because you could watch a TNA PPV at ringside for the same price as a WWE houseshow seat. No, that is not what they are saying. They say it is stupid because TNA will be charging at least that for on the road PPV's. They are just unfairly comparing the two.

Damn straight. It's about the school I went to and the town I live in. We experienced a little bit of Hollywood here this year with all the stars in town. And actually, the premiere is in town tomorrow, with McConoughey and the others are in town for it. There have been countless private showings of it already in many area, but the "premiere" is tomorrow. If you have never heard the story, this is not just a football movie. There have been whispers of some awards coming to this movie. I know that there were very minor changes to the story, and everyone involved has given it praise. I can't wait.

I don't understand the last visitors to your profile thing. I have 17 views to my profile, and no last visitors. I have heard others say it refreshes every hour, so does that just mean no one has viewed my profile in the last hour? I figured the last visitors would be the last people to view it no matter the time frame.

Yeah, same for me. What I meant by the supernatural stuff was that even if they had done that but made him human instead of a winged prehistoric creature, the movie would have been good.

See, for me it was shot all to hell when it was revealed to be a big winged, prehistoric monster. If it were a real person and had some supernatural powers, I would have liked it.

I just watched DH:WAV on TV last night. I went to IMDB, and learned some new things about the movie. I knew there was an alternate ending, which I have seen, but the original scripted ending was never filmed. Remember the briefcase from the fountain that Zeus gave the fake cops? In this version, it was never given to the fake cops, and therefore it was not the explosive that was used to blow the dam to try to drown McClane. After jumping off the boat, McClane and Zeus resurfaced, and slowly started swimming away. McClane is laughing, and Zeus asks him what it's all about. He keeps laughing, and says it's nothing. Cut to a private jet with Simon and all his crew, drinking big beers, eating a big meal, celebrating like a championship team after the game. One of the crew has a briefcase as part of the stuff brought on board. Simon asks where he got it, and he said it was with the stuff they had and he figured it was Targo's. Simon is curious and opens it. It says, "Hello, I am a bomb and you have just armed me." Simon is taken back, but remains fairly calm as it is counting at 00:15, 00:14, 00:13. He calmly asks, "Does anyone have a four gallon jug?" Then you see the plane fly for a few more seconds and then BOOM! I'm not sure at what point McClane would have placed the briefcase with the group's items.

$0 at the moment. I used to carry loads of cash on me, sometimes as much as a grand at a time. When I was paid cash every night at my job, most of it went into my safe at home or in my pocket. I would make deposits into my checking account every other week or so. Now that I don't have a "get paid in cash" job, I have it directly deposited in my checking account every Thursday night (Friday morning) at midnight. I use my Debit Card for everything, and get cash out when cash is needed. I prefer this way over what I did in the past, but it was nice to have cash on you in case you ran into a situation where you could not use your card. Oh, and I don't carry a wallet anymore.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but the main event made me realize that instead of a 6 pack challenge, you can have an 8 man match with a wrestler at each corner of the 6-sided ring. I think an elimination X-Division match should get that treatment.
