I had an idea in a thread around the time of the 2005 Draft that I think would work very well for introducing characters. It was simply for OVW at the time, but could be easily changed to involve Deep South once it gets going. I was thinking either this draft takes the place of the current draft, and allow trades during that time, or this draft could occur during the fall/winter during a dead period.

JBL used to do some stiff powerbombs when he was in the APA. He should add them back into his repertoire, especially against Rey in their feud. And if you want a good powerbomb, wait on Benoit to bust out his every few years.

I believe I was one of the aforementioned to create such senerios in jest, but this was still done after it was already claimed that he was queer. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I was talking about some other boards/sites "reporting the truth" about how he was discovered. And there were conflicting "news items." Us on this board were just discussing it, and I didn't mean that people on here were making up false news. So I wasn't talking specifically about you unless you work for some other site.

Before they got rid of the bWo, they should have had Simon Dean calling Blue Meanie fat during his segments. Then the bWo, including Nova, could talk trash about Simon during a segment. This leads to a Loser Leaves WWE match between Meanie and Simon with the bWo there to support Meanie (sans Nova of course). They could say Nova called them and had car troubles. In the end, Stevie helps Simon win and Simon reveals that Nova's secret identity was.......Simon Dean. That could have gotten Meanie out of WWE like they wanted, could have provided some interesting segments, and formed a tag team in Richards and Simon Dean.

As I have stated many, many times before, I ran into Pat Patterson, Sylvain Grenier, and Sylvain's g/f in Seattle before WMXIX. A lot of the wrestlers were at Pike Place Market, and my friend and I got pictures with as many as we could. I did not even recognize Sylvain because prior to that he was the evil ref for Rock/Hogan, but had black hair. Sylvain had two spots at WMXIX, which is when I realized who he was. I saw Sylvain at least 3 times in Seattle during that trip, and he was with this girl that was intimate with him each and every time. Sylvain is bisexual if it has been CONFIRMED that he is gay. I remember that a lot of people assumed he was gay when it was announc4ed that Patterson got him into WWE. I also remember a lot of people (not on this board) making up various different scenarios of how Grenier was discovered by Patterson and then when it spread, it was taken as fact.

I wouldn't have paid big money to see this in 95. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's most likely because Austin was still only known as a WCW mid-carder and a ECW *star* in 1995. Hogan/Austin was perfectly suited for WMX8 rather then Rock/Hogan but It will still do better numbers then any other match possible. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was just making fun of the guy saying this was a dream match 10 years ago.

So what would be the motivation for Raw's team? Michaels shouldn't like Bischoff, and if he got any other faces, I'm sure they wouldn't care either.

The reason Triple H is mad at Flair is because he could not help him retain then regain the Title. Flair was supposed to be his ace in the hole, but Flair didn't come through.

If done right, it would not injure Austin, plus he has the history with the piledriver and the neck. It would only be one piledriver, he would just be set up for additional ones. If you remember Austin/Angle, the piledriver set-up was awesome psychology during their feud, and the crowd responded well. But, you can substitute whatever move in there for Hogan to try to finish Austin with if you think the piledriver is not safe enough.

Match They should get the crowd behind the match early by the stare downs and playing to the crowd. I would have the match go back and forth with each heeling it up from time to time. Austin goes for the Stunner a couple of times, but Hogan avoids it. Hogan hits the big boot/leg drop, but it only gets a two count. Hogan has been working the neck of Austin, and hits a piledriver on Austin near the ropes and Austin rolls out of the ring but he is out cold. Hogan doesn't want the count out, so he rolls Austin back in at 9. Hogan sets up for another piledriver, Austin gets out and hits the Stunner. Hulk kicks out at two and hulks up. Austin's punches have no effect of course, so he kicks Hogan in the stomach and lays in a beating on Hulk. Hulk fights back and hits a weak Stunner on Austin, then sets him up for a final piledriver, but Austin reverses again and hits an emphatic Stunner for the victory.

How do you book the feud, or how do you book the match? Here are my ideas for the feud and match respectively: Feud In a couple of weeks, have Hogan go on a talk show and send a WWE camera. Hogan talks about his show, Brooke, etc. He closes by talking about how he is talked about as the biggest name in wrestling history, and is rivaled by only one individual, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Hogan says he would like to have a match with him. Several weeks after that, Austin is profiled on WWE television regarding his acting career. He is asked about Hogan's comments, and Austin just gets disgusted and says, "No comment." At Survivor Series, Hogan is there as Brooke sings the National Anthem. Hogan is brought into the ring for an interview, and he starts talking about Hogan and Austin being the two biggest names in history, wants a match brother, blah blah blah...... [GLASS SHATTERS] Austin comes out and poses, then gets a microphone. He tears Hogan apart on the mic, saying he is old and broken down, past his prime, and his old 80's offense can't whip SC's ass. Hogan takes offense but tries to calm the situation down. While doing so, he says something that Austin takes the wrong way. Austin gets in his face, and Hogan won't back down. Hogan says "Why don't we just agree to a match and get this over with." Austin says "I'll think about it and tries to kick Hogan for the Stunner. Hogan catches the kick, however, and kicks Austin low then hits him with several punches. Austin reverses, does the Thesz Press and gets in some punches. They are broken apart by officials, and taken to the back. The announcers, wrestlers, McMahon, everyone talk about the situation from time to time over the next month, and both wrestlers are put on the cover of Raw magazine. Hogan is doing an autograph session in public (one that is hyped heavily, and WWE cameras are there to capture it). Austin shows up, and asks for Hogan's autograph on the cover of Raw Magazine. He could even say, "Make it out to "The Greatest Wrestler in History, Stone Cold Steve Austin!" Hogan flips the table over and brawls with Austin. This could get huge exposure in the media for them as it happens in public. It is announced that they will have a confrontation at the Royal Rumble. Both wrestlers are still playing tweeners, and hopefully the crowd would be torn. If the crowd is supporting one more than the other, they can try to even it back up, or just have the one getting the most support play to the crowd more. At the Rumble, they sign for WM22, and then inevitably get in a fight again. Hogan gains control, drops the leg, Austin gets up immediately and goes for the Stunner, but Hulk catches the foot again and clotheslines Austin down. Officials break it up again. Later, Austin is interviewed backstage and said he told Hogan his lame 80's offense can't put him away. Hogan later says that Austin won't hit the Stunner on him because he has been wrestling long enough to know when to watch out for it, and he's been studying tapes of Austin's matches. Sooooo.........heading into WM, the storyline for the match will be if Hogan can come up with something hurtful enough to put Austin away, and if Austin can hit the Stunner on Hulk. They haven't done any of the Hulking up or anything leading into the match, so that aspect of the match will be new for the viewers. What will happen during this match?

Well, the $300 are most likely the ringside seats where you keep your chair. The $200 seats are right behind them and in some cases right beside them as Dames and I had for WMXX (even though I couldn't go in the end!!!), with $100 being behind them. Definitely not nosebleeds, but you might have a better view if you got the $75 seats because you would be in terraced seating rather than on the floor. Of course, I have never been to an event in this building, so anyone with a better knowledge of the seating set-up for the building could give you a better idea.

I'm not sure they will let Hardy beat Edge. Edge would get to stay on Raw with Lita, get to keep his title shot, and I'm sure WWE is higher on main event Edge than they are on main event Matt Hardy.
-
This will probably be a very good Raw. I am looking forward to it, and I think it will do fairly good ratings-wise considering UFC, Monday Night Football, and a possible baseball one game playoff is the competition. As for Triple H, he will turn on Ric Flair and leave him near death.

I actually think it would have been a nice little feud between Austin avd Jarrett. There was a built in storyline with Debra, and they could have had some good matches. I think it would have lifted Jarrett up a little at the time. And I am in NO WAY a fan of Jarrett.

Well maybe that's what I'll do, smart guy!! (Homer Simpson reference)

Well, I'm not going to be able to convince you otherwise, it appears, so I'll just make a few comments on what you said. The relation of fist-size and portion-size would be incredulous if Big show was a todller with the size hands he has now, but his stomach, frame, and entire body is much larger than the average person and would mean his portions should be bigger as well. Losing weight is burning more calories than you take in, and eating 6 times per day does not mean you are consuming more calories than 3-4 times a day. Also, I don't know where you are getting your nutritional/exercise info, but eating more often (NOT MORE FOOD!!!) is much better for you health wise and for training and getting in shape. As I said earlier (and Ripper stated as well), eating more often raises your metabolism and what you eat is processed quicker and easier. You don't have a huge excess of food that could be turned into fat. I hope you never try to do something in your life that you haven't done before, and someone says, "It is impossible. He never did that before, so how could he do it now?" To say that Big Show can not eat right and lose weight because he has never done it before is preposterous. Big Show came into the wrestling industry with a ton of potential and was started out at the top. He was given the world title and thought he didn't have to work hard. As he got older, his eating habits caught up with him, which made him gain a ton of weight. That is your average 25 year old man, there. As a teen or early in your 20's you can drink beer, eat pizza and chips all day long, then all of a sudden your metabolism drops and you get fatter. And your advice for that person would be just do more cardio? Hell of a nutritionist, cam!

You can't really make the argument that Palpatine was defenseless. He had no saber on him at the time, but he still had the force and force lightning. How is that unarmed? Palpatine dispersed of Mace right after Anakin interfered. That was all he needed. He had to act like he was helpless to get Anakin to turn. I'm not sure how the fight would have turned out if Anakin wasn't there, but the entire thing was a master plan by Palpatine. He had been pulling the strings for a LONG time, and this was his plan to turn Anakin to the Dark Side.

I have a feeling that if Lashley actually weighed 290 like you think, WWE would jump right on that and pimp him as 300 lbs. Triple H is billed at 264 or so, and Lashley is probably a couple inches shorter. I would say he is anywhere from 250-265, and it's all muscle.
-
If you're aware of diet plans, you must not understand them. Eating 6 times a day boosts your metabolism way up from eating just 3 times a day. He never said he was going to eat more, just more often. This also keps you from being hungry as often, which prevents binging. Oh, and notice how he said he was going to "eat the right foods?" That was a key. Big Show keeping his current diet and doing more cardio is not going to get him in the best shape of his life. This is a huge step in the right direction.

How is that the opposite of what I predicted? I never said TUF's ratings would go up. I said WWE would have a much higher rating than the UFC show it is going against, but splitting the demographic will bring Vince's average rating down a little.
-
If he wrestled at 175, he could conceivably have had a non-wrestling weight at 200. I'm sure he cut weight to wrestle at the 175 mark. Still, he has put on 50-65 lbs. since then, and it hasn't been THAT long ago.

Same reason that MNF vs. WWE is a war. It is a war to get ratings, and revenue for your product. The fact that WWE is leaving the station that is rolling out the heavy promotion for WWE's newest competition adds to it. Myself, I think WWE will get a significantly higher rating than UFC on 10/3, and Impact might make a move a year or more down the line. However, the actual "war" that McMahon will be watching is whether or not he loses or gains any viewers week to week. He will not get a lower rating than UFC, but his ratings might take a big dent because of them.
