    #22 is Brutus Beefcake
  3. I will get the entire set the day it comes out! Been looking forward to this.
  4. D'Lo Brown! He was supposed to be the next breakout star, and then they fucked him. It went downhill fast after the Droz accident.
  5. Last we heard of it on wwe.com was that Brock dropped all negotiations with WWE, and not long afterward it was reported that the lawsuit was still active. So is that a work and Brock has signed, just trying to get the ring rust off for a return? Or did they really stop negotiations? I want to see Brock return and I think there is a LOT of money to be made from him coming back. As far as I know, there hasn't been anything reported on the situation from Meltzer or anyone else recently.

Any ideas on Brock to WWE?

Brock vs. Benoit didn't draw because it was a taped Smackdown match. They have never had a real feud or had a PPV match. The Eddie feud was short buildup/great match. They could use a big feud and work off their last match. I think Orton would be a good match-up for Brock. Orton is not as bad as people make out. He was just pushed too hard, too soon initially. As far as Christian goes, I said if they would ever push him. You could say any of these matches could be squashes. This is fake wrestling, where it can be booked to be more competitive than a squash. Christian can carry a feud on the mic and resort to using chairs and shit to get the better of Brock leading up to the match. Burchill was meant to be down the line....as in way down the line. The other feuds listed for Smackdown could last well over a year. Burchill might never amount to anything in WWE, so it is just pure speculation. A lot of people on here were looking forward to Burchill from the clips and compared him to Brock. Oh, and find the Rey/Brock match from Smackdown and tell me that wouldn't be a good feud with some good matches. Over on Raw, the HBK match and feud would no doubt be good. HBK has been putting on great performances over the last year. And again, why say Brock would squash Hardy? Supposedly Hardy will come out of this feud with Edge as an upper-midcard wrestler. And no matter if we have seen Brock/Rock before, the Rock returning would draw well.
  7. Bret's pick is most likely a combination of the following: it was a lot of mat wrestling, it went 60 minutes without a pinfall, and it was at Wrestlemania. Bret probably knows he has given better performances, but he is probably salivating over the psychology and mat work. It could be a moot point, however, as I believe he now lists the Benoit match in KC as his favorite, due to the wrestling and the emotional value.

Any ideas on Brock to WWE?

I have no problem with this thread being deleted if the majority think it's useless. However, this is a message board designed to discuss the goings on in WWE. I could see if this was very off-topic or asinine. We discussed RVD's injury and when he might come back in previous topics, yet he has a new article discussing it on wwe.com. Should we not discuss that or ask if there is any update on him? All I am saying is this thread has gotten some discussion on any update of Brock and how he could be a draw upon his return. I just don't see the point of saying, let's not let people discuss this here, but it's fine to discuss this over here. If people want to talk about something, it is not ruining the forum. Scroll down the page a bit and find the topic you want to discuss. Hell, after two days or so it might even be on page 3. If you don't want to discuss something that you think has been discussed enough, just stay out. Do you not think it is stupid to post in a thread that you think people should not be posting in?

Sure. And if this thread is pointless, I would say that about 35 other threads are pointless as well. Might as well close 'em all.

Any ideas on Brock to WWE?

The reason I think Brock will draw money is that his first run in the company was pretty impressive from a wrestling standpoint. He showed his skill as a wrestler, and is a legitimate threat to anyone on the roster (kayfabe). He provides something no one else can at his size. He has a freakish, menacing build, amazing athleticism, and legitimate wrestling background. He was looked at as the future of the WWE by many, and I have heard both hardcore and casual fans remark at how dominate he is and how he is one of the main reasons they watch(ed). Now, in 2005, we have very little to look forward to, especially on Smackdown. Business is down, the wrestling has suffered, everything is bleak. And when it looks bleak, there is nowhere to go but up. Enter Brock Lesnar. WWE doesn't have to build him up the way they do someone else that debuts. He already has the history. Any fans that quit watching when he left, or shortly after, will be intrigued to see what he does. He has a lot of opponents he can face that he never has before, has unfinished business with, or are in a different position than when he left. Smackdown Brock vs. Batista Brock vs. Eddie Brock vs. Benoit Brock vs. Orton Brock vs. Rey Brock vs. JBL Brock vs. Christian (if they would ever push Christian) Brock vs. Burchill (down the line) Raw Brock vs. Triple H Brock vs. HBK Brock vs. Cena (his character is much farther along now) Brock vs. Shelton Brock vs. RVD Brock vs. Edge Brock vs. Kane Brock vs. Hardy Brock vs. Foley (could be awesome if Foley can get in shape like the Orton match) Brock vs. Rock (rematch at a Mania or Slam could be huge) So yeah, he has a lot of interesting matchups that he could do that have awesome potential as matches as well. Brock can work, and he would be someone both fresh and credible in the main event at the same time. Making your shows watchable and intriguing (especially the ME's) is a huge part of drawing.

I was being overly sarcastic about pinning a new thread. I don't think it would do any good.

Apology accepted. But now I must apologize for my response I gave before I saw your apology.

Any ideas on Brock to WWE?

Perhaps we need a pinned thread by you that has every answer to the WWE universe to prevent myself and others from asking questions that you know the answer to? That way, you wouldn't have to have your life ruined by coming into threads that you don't want to be involved in and contribute to them anyway.

Any ideas on Brock to WWE?

This had not been talked about in a long time and there was no need to bump an old thread that had 7-8 pages of fantasy booking, discussing Brock's past and future, etc. Sorry that I brought up "this again," but I (and I am sure others) are legitimately interested in the progress of Brock's negotiations/signing/eventual return.
  15. Okay, my take on this is that Flair was a great performer, Michaels was/is a great performer, and Austin was a great performer. Michaels has tremendous matches out the wazoo, but that doesn't mean he is a better "wrestler" than Bret Hart. Flair no doubt thinks Michaels is better than Hart, but he doesn't like Hart and is probably taking into account how Michaels puts on a great performance during his matches. Flair had tons of great matches, but it was his persona that drew the fans in. It was ingrained in our heads that Flair was the greatest. Flair did a lot of comedy spots, and his routine became so famous that they were cheered and put on a pedestal. Bret Hart was a great wrestler. He also had tons of great matches, but he didn't do the high-flying, overselling performances that Michaels did, or the comedy spots/rely on your persona and cheating at all times performances that Flair did. He went out there and put on scientific wrestling matches that had tremendous psychology. All of these wrestlers should be listed in a greatest of all time category, but for various different reasons. It just depends on what flavor of Kool-Aid you prefer. Oh, and comparing Flair and Michaels through the same opponents is not exactly fair and true, because they were at different stages of their careers during those matches.

Any ideas on Brock to WWE?

Well, I disagree about jobbing him to Batista. I like Batista, but Brock is a better ground wrestler and has many more years in him. He really was the future at one point and could be again.

Will The Pepsi Plunge Be Seen On WWE TV?

When you start capitalizing the first words of your sentences, especially the word "I," all you have to do is close your eyes and count backward from 1,000 and CM Punk will appear.

    Good Pranks to pull?

Well, it wasn't your roommates, I would suggest a good ol' Top Shelf. You know....shitting in the tank of the toilet so when they flush, shit water pours into the bowl.

Will The Pepsi Plunge Be Seen On WWE TV?

I think that is what Rando is saying. Punk is in position to be superplexed by his opponent, which means he would be facing the ring.

    Campaign 2008

I for one cannot wait until Barack Obama runs, whenever that may be. He will probably be the first non-white male president (I don't see Hilary winning or anyone else who has a shot), but Colin Powell should have ran a few years back and we would have already had a minority president.
  22. Pretty funny animated game with multiple options. I've tried every scenario possible, and I recommend having JR get King's nickname wrong, piledriving JR on the announce table, getting Lita to show her tits, and having Carlito compliment Show and Show agree with him. Edit---Out of all the dumbfuck things I could have done, leaving the link out is probably the biggest one, huh? http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/260539

    what to do with ashley

That's weird... I had a dream that Danny Basham and Val Venis teamed up, but Ashley wasn't their valet. P.S. I mark for hot chicks with a punk/skater fashion style. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I suggested they should team up, too, when we had the thread talking about tag teams. http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...dpost&p=1952512 If that many of us suggested/thought of it separately, maybe they should team.

    Funny WWE Interactive Game

First one I had no idea about. Second one just means I'm retarded. If this is already posted somewhere and everyone knows about it, will a mod just delete this thread?
  25. JR might say that it was "too dangerous" or something to that effect. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I might "win the lottery." It doesn't hurt to ask questions and see if he acknowledges them and maybe even answers them legitimately. If anyone asks him a question, post it here so we can see if he listens to any of us.
