Good call on correcting me on the name of Edge's move. I've heard JR call every move Edge does as the Edgecution for so long that it must have burned into my memory or something.

I liked it because he needed a finisher.

What do I win?

I don't think that WWE's lack of credible submission finishers will hurt this match. If Benoit does his usual work to set up the crossface, and Jericho sets up for the Liontamer, these two can do enough to make a match out of that. It will be different than your run of the mill match due to the submissions stipulation. Plus, I'm sure Benoit will go for the sharpshooter at least once, and they will possibly go for each other's finishers. It's not like they have to go MMA. And besides, the crowd will no doubt be hot for these two, and the Japanese crowd is well-versed on submission finishes. I don't think they'll have a problem. I know you said it will be a good match and I'm not knocking you, just giving a point about the limited credible submission finishes in WWE.

From behind, Maven grabs his opponent's head/face with both hands, kind of like Edge's Edgecution. He falls to his back while doubling his knees up toward his chest and resting them on his opponent's back. this causes a pretty impactful backbreaker (if sold right).

Well, JBL would be addressing Batista because he won the Royal Rumble and has the right to face the SD Champ at Mania. JBL did what heels do and that is talk shit about possible contenders. I think it's obvious that HHH had the JBL promo played because he doesn't really want to face Batista. He knew it would make Batista mad that JBL was talking shit, and made it seem like he (HHH) wanted nothing more than to face Batista 1 on 1 at Mania. But in all actuality, he would rather lose Batista to SD because he knows he lost control of the man and figures there is no way he can keep the title if he goes up against Batista. I'm surprised no one talked about Batista getting himself DQ'ed on purpose last night and smirking about it while going up the ramp.

This should only be taken as a rumor, but I heard that Flair went apeshit on Quinones because David Flair was staying at Quinones' house for awhile and woke up with Quinones standing over him masturbating. This was in that thread on DVDVR talking about the sleaziest events in pro wrestling. Someone linked to it from here in the "Lita is a whore" thread. If that rumor is true, I can see Flair going off on him.

Use it to build a little drama as the match progresses - "can Benoit become the 1st man to win back-to-back Rumbles?" They don't have to constantly mention Benoit's name, but have JR or Tazz throw that out there to remind people he's still there, and that he won it all last year. Then, when he gets eliminated, it's a bigger deal for the guy who tosses him (which shouldn't have been Flair). Hogan won back-to-back Rumbles, HBK won back-to-back Rumbles, and Austin won back-to-back Rumbles. Unless you meant back-to-back coast-to-coast Rumbles.

I think they could explain it by.........ohhhhhh, I don't know.......maybe saying.........."we're going to have a few interpromotional matches at WM, our biggest show of the year."

Watch again........Flair throws Benoit out. The announcers even said, "Batista doing the work, Flair reaping the rewards" or something similar. Batista started to help him and just watched him throw Benoit out. So, if you count co-eliminations as 1 elimination, that's still only 5.

Now that RVD will definitely miss it, I say Eddie/Rey is strung along until then.

Okay, after watching it twice, I couldn't tell if the ending was planned or not. However, it seemed that Korderas and Robinson (SD refs) had no clue as to what to do when they both hit the floor. Jack Doan (Raw) declared Batista the winner by raising his hand, and right after, it appeared that Korderas was pointing to Cena and saying, "He hit first." I'm waiting to hear the inside scoop that will no doubt come in a couple days' time. Also, here are the "Most Eliminations" list, ranked from most to least. There were three instances of a person getting eliminated by more than one person, as Holly was eliminated by Benoit and Guerrero; Hassan was eliminated by Reigns, Benoit, Jericho, Edge, Booker, and Benjamin; and Edge was eliminated by Batista and Cena. You can call them assists or 1/2 an elimination, depending on how you would personally score it. If you wanted to be technichal, the Hassan elimination could be counted as 1/6 an elimination instead of 1/2. For my list below, the 1/6th elimination was used for our "most Eliminations" bet at my apartment. They made it more form-fitting instead of flat, changed some of the plate designs, added the WWE logo, and I think they changed location or number of diamonds and rubies. This was featured on wwe.com a couple years back.

Vince McMahon would have catered to the fans more from WMX-7 until now?

He can't use Prince Albert, Albert, or A-Train because they are property of the WWE. He is using Baldo from his previous gimmick, and Train from his last WWE gimmick (which he no doubt wants to use because of the name recognition). Sadly, the combination does suck a big one.

I have no desire to see that match. Dream match for me would be Batista vs. Lesnar. It's been done before, but not in WWE, and not with Batista's current position.

You don't have to be number 1 in every category to be number 1 overall. I'm not agreeing that HHH is number 1 overall, just pointing that out.
