1. Check the sig: 1991 Mingo County Spelling Bee Champion 2. Even though we had K-6 for elementary school, we rotated classes just like Middle School and High School from grades 4-6. This was '89, '90, and '91. So really, in that situation, what was so wrong with a K-6 environment? It beats the heall out of K-8 and 9-12 like they have there now!

When MX finally posts that pic, it's going to be great!

So to save money, you would like me to go buy a new car? Right.

We had K-6, 7-9, and 10-12 when I was in school. Now, it is K-8, and 9-12 in that area.

I was writing something in fourth grade when the kid next to me looked over and said, "you're a motherfucker, go fuck your mother." He was most likely trying to make a joke that he had heard earlier that day by an older student, but I stabbed him in the shoulder with my number two pencil anyway.

When I was in Kindergarten, the teacher's aide was also my babysitter. My mother was the school secretary, and one day she dressed me in suspenders. I abhorred them and thought they were goofy, but it never struck me to take them off. Instead, I wore my huge winter coat indoors all day long (they had the heat on 80 degrees). During lunch, my babysitter came over and whispered to me and asked why I was wearing the coat. I told her I didn't want to wear the suspenders. She told me it was okay to take the suspenders off and mom never made me wear them again. Also, by the time I made it to Kindergarten, I had already read all the Reading textbooks through 6th grade (highest grade at the school). I was a busy little guy that started reading the newspaper at the age of 3. Mom brought home the textbooks for me so I could learn stuff. Consequentially, this caused me to be very lazy in school, which caught up to me in Junior High, High School, and college. At the time, though, I was the man. I only missed one question in Kindergarten, and that is still disputable in my book.

I was one of only two fourth graders to kick it all the way onto the steps in the playground in kickball. I was also in gifted classes, but not for my kickballing skills.

Yes. I had the Tigers being an offensive juggernaut with a couple of capable enough arms for them to be at .650 or so. I fully expected this to be the team to beat until the playoffs, where their arms just wouldn't be good enough. I figured the Mets would have been a lot better than they are, even though they have plenty of time to turn it around. I actually figured the Reds to be in third place behind Chicago and Milwaukee in a vastly improved NL Central. Bullpen is better, but there are still four pitchers (including starters) that are just throwing gas on the fire. I didn't think St. Louis would be doing this well this year. Pretty shocking to me, actually.

Everyone knows that we could all make the world a better place if everyone drove less, but it's also not like there are people out there driving around in mall parking lots for 8 hours honking their horn and yelling "I'm destroying the environment." People drive out of necessity, just like I do. I work from my home more often than driving the 28 miles to my office so I can save money. If gas drops 18.4 cents, I am not going to run out and fill up a couple of barrels for reserve and maintain my current level of driving. I will reap the benefits of dollars saved, as would the majority of people I know. Now if they dropped it to $2.00 per gallon, I'm sure people would resume their previous driving standards if they have scaled it back since the price surges.

The past two steaks I have gotten at restaurants were not rare how I ordered them. One was medium, and the other was closer to medium-well. For my own tastes, a steak gets too tough at medium, and I prefer it rare. However, I didn't send them back due to figuring that I would get a steak that had all sorts of surprises added just for me. What do you do when you get a steak that isn't ordered to your specification? On one side, you are paying a good price for your dinner, and on the otherhand, you might eat more fecal matter than usual.

I don't want to do that. You know I am not bitching about whether I am able to do that or not. I explained my stance.

You are correct, Eric, but to support Jingus' argument, this article made ludicrous comparisons to placing items on sale in a store. This is a commodity that we have to have for travel in vehicles. People fuel their vehicles when it is needed. They make it sound as if people will start filling their pools with gasoline simply because it is on sale. Most people I know will thank fuck that it is lower and spend the money saved per fill-up on something else. The part that does suck, as the article said, is that 18.4 cents per gallon would be helping out our governement, but would now be profits for the oil companies.

What was he going for with that outfit? Is that "Talking Head Suit That is TOTALLY Cool and Loose on Weekends, Brah?" If so, he nailed it. -
I think that this film will do a good enough job of erasing thoughts of this being the same franchise as the previous Batman movies that they will be able to use the same villains from before without worry. I doubt if the Riddler were used by Nolan that he would be as over the top as Jim Carrey was in Forever. Bane, Penguin, Catwoman and Riddler could all be used in realistic tones.

No, I stand by the fact it was a bad idea. That never changed. The problem lies elsewhere. I did entertain the thought of a way out, but that was not how this was presented to me at all. I was specifically told "the others decided to tell you to stop. it's a team thing." If it really was a way out that you guys wanted to give me so bad, I believe the mod in question would have said, "hey, we're going to give you a way out." I'm not on some crusade to make the mods look bad, NYU. The fact of the matter is, it was retarded to classify that as spam, and by following the answers that 909 gave, any posts that is unneeded is spam. I was making a point. The talk of gimmicks outside of NSFW is cute considering Czech "spammed" the board as ForumPro. What it boils down to is this thing wasn't liked, so it was stopped. If that would have been the reason given, I wouldn't have cared two shits. Basically, who you mods crappin?*** ***Not all mods.

No, not serious at all. But, we are setting a precedent here, though, so these questions do need to be answered at some point.
-
Just bringing up valid points, am I not? Like I said, I have been wanting to stop posting like that for a while. ANyone that thinks differently should try it.* *Do it on another board, though.

I have no problem with stopping this at all, because I regretted saying I would do it for a month almost immediately. I told that to many people, including a few of the mod staff. However, how exactly do you classify this as spamming? I figure when you guys got together to figure out how you could officially get me to stop posting one word responses, you settled on "spamming" as the rule I was breaking. I bet you neglected the offer from one of the moderating staff to order me to stop so it would give me a way out. While I considered that (as I hated going through with the one word posts at least 5 times a day), I politely declined because I didn't want that moderator to look like he was abusing his power and have posters complaining about it. When I brought that up, he told me to just tough it out and keep posting. That was close to an hour before your mandate to stop. Also, you posted yesterday that I would not be gulaged or banned for what I was doing. So, I have a couple of questions and points that I feel are valid: 1. At what point did this become spamming? Up until yesterday it was not spamming, right? But as of today, it was. What specifically put it over the top? 2. Apparently, one word responses are spamming, right? So will everyone be warned in the future if they only post one word? How many can they post before they are spamming? 3. How many words does it take to reach the minimum limit before a post is a spam? If there is a certain number of words we can agree on, that would be nice. 4. What if someone started posting 32 word replies every time they posted. Is that spamming? They are doing the same number over and over again, right? If an exact high number of words for each post is not spamming, but one word is, we arrive back at the exact number of words that constitutes spamming. 5. Before we bring up that this is a gimmick that was used outside of the NSFW area of the forums, allow me to bring up the Wilford Brimley gimmick (a gimmick that I think was awesome, by the way). He posted, as a gimmick, outside of the NSFW area. Was he spamming? If he does it again, should he be banned or gulaged? Maybe we should give him an ultimatum publicly? Here is one example for you: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...t&p=2676940 6. We have brand new updated rules here at TSM. I see spamming is a bannable offense. Now, I stopped as soon as I was warned about this, but just for clarification, maybe we should include a definition of what spamming is. I would be very interested to read this so I will not spam on this forum anymore. I think we will set many precedents with the answers we give here tonight. Some of you, not all, are particular about not getting called out on mistakes that the moderating staff makes, and hate to have those mistakes pointed out. I am thinking of this in advance, so I would just like to have these questions or points answered or validated with this matter so that won't happen in the future. If we can get some set rules about what spamming consists of, surely no one can complain about spamming in the future. Thanks!
