The only logical solution would be to add another folder called Solitary Confinement for each individual that misbehaves while in the Gulag.

I had no clue they still aired it on their website, to be honest.

Although the discussion was good, we got off topic. We now have two different topics being discussed here. I am splitting all of the "legend" posts into a new thread. The thread will be in General Wrestling, which is where its relevance lies, anyway. I'll leave this as is for 5 minutes or so to kind of let everyone know where the posts went. Thanks.

Who Are the Legends of the Wrestling Industry?

No, that just totally went over my head until someone else commented that it was a nod to Flair. I thought you had lost your mind. -

To me, I see good arguments from both sides as it is pretty much personal opinion on whether or not some of those guys are legends or not. The only thing that made me do a double take was the mention of Bagwell on Sting, Taker, and HBK's level. What? -
They promoted it on Conan via having the main character come out as a guest. We talked about it in the Conan thread.

What I meant by Shawn proving a point was that he made it to Vince, Steph, Triple H, etc. He showed how ridiculous it was, even though he acted childish as well. This is just my personal opinion, but while they certainly would have no problem bringing back Hogan in the future, he will not be used in matches against other big names. Austin will not work with him, and they saw how he refused to compromise with Shawn. Hogan was buried by that performance. If not in the eyes of the fans, he certainly was in the eyes of those who matter behind the curtain.

I didn't see a preview up for tomorrow's Impact, so post it if you find it.

Ryan Howard had a pretty heads up play just now. Jeff Keppinger fouled a ball of his foot, but it squibbed hard toward third base and hit the bag. The third baseman threw it over to first for the out since Keppinger didn't run (knowing it hit his foot and thus was a foul ball). The umps didn't signal foul and Dusty came out to argue they should check the ball for polish (attendants polish up the players' shoes vigorously for scenarios such as this). Howard tossed the ball to a fan in the crowd as Dusty was coming out, however, getting rid of any evidence there may have been. Smart move, I must admit.

Volquez hasn't been as electric as Cueto was in his debut, but he is still looking pretty good in his first start for the Reds. He hit 98 on the gun a couple of times and has 6 K's through 4 shutout innings. They finally have some young guns developing. If Homer Bailey could get over his troubles of getting behind in the count, they would have three very young pitchers that light up the radar gun.

Should have been more sex.

This match actually had potential to be a good match with an old school feel to it. We all know Shawn can bump and Hogan works well with a good bumper. However, Hogan felt the need to refuse to work with Shawn on the end of the match, Shawn did the same right back, and Hogan won out in the political game. What we were left with was Shawn making a statement via his ridiculous selling and making the match a joke. Shawn is still around and in big matches...Hogan hasn't really been used much since. I think Shawn made his point.

Just de-mod everyone and let Bob be the only mod. This place polices itself.

Yeah, it's almost like they are doing a simulcast for radio and they feel like they need to explain every visual that the listeners can't see.

If anyone can find the SNL skit where he was the stockboy working for Phil Hartman at the supermarket, I'd greatly appreciate it. RIP Chuck.

The Guerrero match was very good.

Perhaps they should try a Special every now and then. If the ratings seemed solid, they could try to move toward their own show.

That would be pretty funny.

I would like to see an announcing change as well. West was brought in to be the pitch man, which was at least relevant due to the fact that they had weekly PPV's that needed selling. However, he has far outlived his usefulness. I think there is talent capable of doing an above average job in TNA, but they are either not used or made to do somethign they are strong at. Tenay should be used as his "Professor" character a little more instead of trying to be the hype man. If he could just put over the action in the ring and provide analysis, it would go a long way. There is no need to put him in hype mode and make him over the top. West could be used as an interviewer and/or recapper, if at all. The other announcer should be, as others stated, a heel. Jarrett would be good except for the fact that he had the sympathy thing going and returned as a face and everyone knows he is behind the company. Who would I use for the heel announcer role? A retiring Booker T by next year.

Excellent bunt by Hopper to move the runners to second and third allows the Reds to get another win in the bottom of the ninth against the Phils. I am liking how they are playing so far, and if they gets their bats going, they could be making a bigger splash than predicted. I don't think second place pushing for first in the Central is out of the question at all.

Okay, we have our first Town Hall up for this folder. We will have one of these every Friday, and would love to have guest hosts. If you want to host one in the future, pm me with your topic and I'll try to keep a rotation of one a week. Please stick to the format on them and if discussion breaks out that is off topic, we will just split that into its own thread. Enjoy!

Besides, I don't really think any of us are expecting posters to bow down and kiss his ass and praise us for bringing him in. It's just something we are trying out. If it doesn't go well, hey, we tried.
-
Yep, and he still doesn't mind doing this Q & A. I think it is interesting given all the history.

It's likely that a lot of posters aren't going to have any interest in this, but the man is coming out with a book on Benoit, which is apparently a very sensitive subject for a lot of people here. We couldn't exactly get Vince McMahon for this, so let's try to work with what we got. If you ever wondered anything, post it and see what he says. Just keep out the questions that he obviously won't dignify with a response.
