Exactly what I expected. I'm not sure if either will be moved now, though. Hatteberg has a sore hammy that he could technically play on, but that might make same teams pass on him.

Mr. McMahon "dead" - Now for the "whodunit" angle.

Fred Ottman (Tugboat/Typhoon/Shockmaster) is Dusty's cousin, isn't he? -
I watched Bruce in the Futures game, Al, and he had a hell of a swing. The announcers kept comparing him to Larry Walker. I'd love to hear a report on him and Votto. Apparently, Votto was moved from first to the outfield right after the break, but I haven't heard anything about him since.

Reds/Brewers was indeed awesome. Good pitching. I looked at the game as the pitchers working out of tough jams late in the game rather than the offenses not being able to capitalize. The bases loaded no outs play by Conine was routine, but still a great play by a veteran. He didn't hesitate with the throw home, and did it very smoothly. You almost expect the first baseman to think about stepping on the bag first when they are that close, but Conine throws a casual throw home, retreats to the bag, and Ross takes his time to move outside of the runner's path for his throw. On a side note, Pedro Lopez would not be used by me for a while after tonight's game. I'm not sure he was "hotdogging" with the basket catch attempt, but you simply don't miss that routine play in extra innings. To top that, he misses a bunt sign before being bailed out by a wild Grant "Ball Four" Balfour.

It just makes sense.* *Everything mentioned so far in this thread.

Yeah, that's almost exactly how they made it sound.

He's gotten tremendously better over the years in LF> He is now an average fielder. In the earlier years, he was exciting in the outfield for all the wrong reasons. I wanted to see him at first years ago because of his terrible defense, but Sean Casey was a good hitter and the most popular man in the city. Dunn probably has to go to a team that can afford him next year, and most would prefer him as a DH. Yankees or Sox it looks like.

Would anyone care to help me with the problem I reported a couple of weeks ago about not getting the downloads to work properly? Do you have to have the full version?

For me, it is because he is striking out on bad pitches, and sometimes missing by a lot when he swings. Not just the numbers he puts up, but how he does it. It shows me that he needs a major overhaul to be a .300 hitter because he doesn't make contact enough. Others probably disagree. Like I said, that's why I hate it.

Well, my analysis of the Reds should have had several paragraphs of where we needed to sign all these good players and such. However, it is apparent the reds are not going to break the bank, so it is likely they will get some prospects, build on what they do well, and totally try to rebuild where they are pitiful. Dunn strikes out way too much and is usually an adventure in the field. Rob Deer is not who people should mold themselves after. Now I like Dunn for the most part, but he is not who they should build around. Hopper and Freel are not who I would pick if I had better options, but I never talked about specific signing or anyone not already involved in the organization. Freel is a favorite of mine and he is in a BAD year at the plate. When he is stealing bases all over the place and starting at 4 different positions, he's a good player for the Reds. My lineup and roster up top was if they traded away some players, that would be who was left and possibly called up. Of course they would need to sign free agents or actually pick players up in these trades. The Reds are in need of rebuilding, and Hatteberg and Conine are not who you rebuild around. Clubs will want veterans, and Dunn will go somewhere, hopefully. I was just being realistic, because I could have said "pick up Santana, Haren and Rivera, and have Dunn bat .330."

Danville_Wrestling---That's David Ross for the Reds, not Darren. You are third Reds fan on the board, please try to keep up. I think the following should be traded from the club: Scott Hatteberg, Jeff Conine, Edwin Encarnacion, Adam Dunn, and Matt Belisle. We need relievers of all kinds, and perhaps a starter. Call up Joey Votto for the rest of the season to get him some experience at 1B. Jay Bruce should be in AAA next year and ready for a Sept. call up. This leaves a lineup of: 1B---Joey Votto 2B---Brandon Phillips SS---Alex Gonzalez 3B---Ryan Freel LF---Norris Hopper CF---Josh Hamilton RF---Ken Griffey, Jr. SP---Aaron Harang SP---Bronson Arroyo SP---Kyle Lohse SP---Homer Bailey SP---Bobby Livingston You can put Jeff Keppinger at 3B and keep Freel in the outfield, on any given day. The bench has Javier Valentin, Keppinger, and not much else. Players need to be signed, traded, or brought up over the offseason. The Bullpen needs a complete overhaul.

When Was The Last Time You Were Surprised By A Match Finish?

You lost all credibility with me after that statement. -
I agreed with the waiver decision, for what it's worth. The Phillies and Devil Rays were clearly circumventing the system. That said, Livingston has allowed 25 hits in 17 innings, and struck out five batters. It's smoke and mirrors. Yeah, I think everyone agreed with the waiver decision there except for the Rays and Phils. I'm not saying Livingston is the next Glavine, though, just that it was a nice pickup through the waiver wire scenario. I mentioned that he gets in trouble a lot, but he tends to "bend but not break." Maybe it's just me, but he doesn't seem to get hammered, just gives up a lot of singles or walks. If he can stay a ground ball pitcher and stay ahead in the count, he could develop into a nice 3rd or 4th starter.

Just my opinion, but I believe Benoit was prescribed testosterone due to past steroid use, but he was still taking steroids every so often as well. I don't think we will ever know if his levels at death were due to the testosterone replacement he was using, or if he had recently cycled. It would take a close friend who would know for sure that would tell the 100% proof. We know that is not happening! -

No, you didn't. The ratios this guy was talking about were not the same ratios in the testing we have been hearing about. -

Would it be too much to ask to have 4 matches on Smackdown, with the winners competing in a 4-way at the PPV for the vacant title? You would have to postpone Khali/Batista, but if they both won their respective matches, they could add heat to their feud during the PPV and blow it off at Summerslam. Batista vs. Chris Masters Kane vs. Finlay Henry vs. Matt Hardy ( I would have said Flair, but he is out with an ear injury and personal problems. The announcers could say that if Hardy wins, he would compete for the World, not US.) Khali vs. Eugene (There is really no one left) This is a hoss-a-riffic title match for the PPV, but their is really no other direction to go. One of these four are going to win the title. I say give it to Henry for a couple of months and let him run with it. -
Bobby Livingston had a decent start yesterday for the Reds, giving up 2 earned runs in 5 innings. He got in trouble a lot, so it wasn't great or anything. However, he went 4-4 at the plate, beating out a bunt and an infield hit. His last start was months ago and he gave up one run in 6 2/3. This has been a pretty good pick-up by Wayne Krivsky, as he got him off the waiver wire in a weird way. He was picked up off waivers and was immediately traded to the Phillies. Krivsky was monitoring the waiver wire at the time, thought it was against the rules and notified the league. They agreed it was against the rules, and he was placed back into waivers. The Reds were the next team in line, and voila!

I do my grocery shopping at Wal-Mart. Around here we have Kroger, Foodland, Aldi, Save-A-Lot, Food Fair, and a couple of local grocery stores that are not chains. We had several Big Bear stores before that chain closed. Wal-Mart has the better prices and selections, so I go there.

Okay, I was hoping that the free version was able to be updated. I saw the links back there, didn't understand them, and it wasn't clear if you had to have the paid version to get the updates. What are the differences between the paid and free versions? Thanks. Edit---Okay, got everything copied over to a new game folder like the directions said, and it said the data was corrupt. Help?

I just downloaded TEW '07 and have never played one of these before at all. I'm not seeing any major promotions in the game. Is that because I got the free demo version, or do you have to find hacks or downloads? Thanks for any help.

I always liked the physical mannerisms that Mark Curtis added to the matches. Ever see him look like he was in awe of the strength or moves of the wrestlers? He was putting over the matches while not getting in the way. Best ref ever.

Chiropractors are NOT doctors. Bullshit. I have three close friends who went on to become chiropractors. They had 3 to 3 1/2 years of chiropractic school AFTER completing their 4 year degrees. They had rotations just like other doctors. Their degrees say "Doctor of Chiropractic." They had to take the same state and national boards that any other licensed doctor had to take. They are recognized as doctors all across the nation. The difference is that doctors that prescribe medicine believe in treating illnesses with chemicals and medicine (not counting broken bones, surgeries, etc.). Chiropractors believe in preventing illnesses with adjusting the spine and central nervous systems. More and more traditional doctors are working together with chiropractors instead of calling them "witch doctors" and disregarding their craft as voodoo. -
Are your landlords Asian? At my favorite Chinese buffet, they have a sign that says "CAUTION SWING DOOR."
