Wilpegasus, you make very true statements regarding working out, training, and the fact that 20 years of training doesn't necessarily mean you will be bigger. However, the "look" to wrestlers is a VERY big part of their career. They work hard at maintaining and improving their physiques. If you get to the point of where you hit a plateau, or "the wall" as it is commonly referred to, switching up your routine could be all you need to get over it. Now there is also a point where you can not possibly gain any more, as well. My point is that Benoit has gradually gotten bigger in his arms and upper body over a period of a couple of years. I assume (and granted, that's all I am doing) that he was comfortable wrestling at a lighter weight, especially in Japan, but needed to get stronger and bigger to compete at a heavyweight level. He had been training for years at that point, and packing on some muscle wouldn't necessarily require steroids. Eating more calories in a day with higher protein would make him bigger, not to mention training with less repititions and heavier weights. I think he got stronger so he could maintain his wrestling styles against heavier opponents.

I don't doubt that a lot of the wrestlers are on the juice or have done so recently, but they do work out and stuff, you know. Benoit, for instance, has been training for around 20 years. You work out for 20 years and wrestle close to a nightly basis and see if you don't look pretty good. They are also very conscious of what they eat, and the supplements they take. I have taken supplements, ate the right foods for muscle building, and worked out, and the results can happen very quickly. I can't imagine what I'd look like if I kept that up for years on end.

I didn't check before I typed that, I just remembered from awhile back. I have a pretty good memory. I actually thought that may have been his old weight and that he had put on more since then. Anyone know what he has been announced as on Raw lately?

Orton is about 6'4", and has a good frame on him. He has thick legs, which carries some of his weight without making him look heavier than he is. Orton looks like he weighs less because he has a slender, athletic build, but he is as broad as Triple H when they walk down the aisle. He's just cut more, and not as thick in the arms and such.

I too think it is stupid that the WWE won't let anyone besides primadonna stars use a gimmick that they have already established before coming to WWE. To answer the Bucci/Noble relation question, they are not related. I grew up about 15 minutes from James Gibson (Jamie Noble), and he has no relatives in wrestling.

Okay, I have a bet with my friend that Jackie Gayda was wearing pasties or something over her nipples when she "flashed" on Monday night. The only pics I have found doesn't really settle the bet for either of us. It's not that I am dumb for the bet or anything. You know the "innocent until proven guilty" thing? Well this is "nipples until proven pasties" thing. That's what the bet was. He said there was no way that she was wearing something over the nipples, and if I could find incontrivertible proof, he'd pay me $20; if not, I owed him. With all the flashbulbs that went off on camera as she had her back to the camera, I just knew the pics would be all over the place. Just like when she had the slip a few months back.

My best guess would be that the courts ruled that the WWE can earn no profit off the scrath logo, and they could not be called "WWF" no matter if that is what they were called at the time of the footage. Remember that the footage, even though it was shot pre-lawsuit, was not put on DVD and produced for profit until after the lawsuit.

He didn't take it with a broken arm, it is what gave him the broken arm. He did finish the match as someone said. In my opinion, they messed up when he initially came back from that, as Angle was getting hot, and Holly could have been elevated a little. He wrestled something like two matches where he used the steel plate in his arm to find a victory. It seemed like they were setting that up as his ace in the hole that he discovered by accident, and a move that he could pull a victory out of nowhere with, but they just dropped it and let him run in circles until he broke his neck a couple years later.

I respect your opinion, but I simply disagree. I can watch Flair's matches with the mute button on, and I'm still intrigued by the near falls, transitions, and the way that he made everything mean something.

Spanky and London should have at least been off Velocity and get a few non-title tag matches to see if they caught on. That's not unreasonable at all.

It is impossible to say that any one wrestler is the greatest of all-time, and even harder for there to be a consensus opinion that is true. You are going to have your fans of different wrestling styles, and what they consider the criteria to be. However, much of what the Flair legacy was built around was his character, psychology, and emotion in his matches that came through with the story that unfolded in the ring. Flair's character was gold. The way that he represented himself was just classic. He set up good storylines and gave tremendous promos. He was classy and high-rolling, but he also cheated like a bastard and let everyone know about it. He was what you thought of as a World Champion. The only problem I ever saw with his psychology was when he applied the figure four, it was to the wrong leg. Now anyone that has been in a figure four that was applied properly knows that it hurts both legs, but essentially, the bent leg is used as a bar on the knee of the straight leg. Flair usually did it to the wrong leg, and I believe that it was due to him working on one leg and segueing directly into the figure four. Someone already stated in this thread how Flair had tremendous stamina and could fill up an entire match. That is extremely important. Even though he had trademark spots, not all of Flair's matches were the same. Just about every wrestler has trademark spots, and if they use a certain finisher and a certain gameplan to work toward that finisher, then yes the matches may look similar in certain spots. Flair has been wrestling for more than 20 years, so I'd say it's safe that people are used to his trademark spots and they think that's all he does. In summation, Flair might not be the best technical wrestler in the history of wrestling, but he was definitely a tremendous wrestler. He made great transitions, had good psychology, excellent workrate, and made you get into his matches. He is "The Man."

A couple of weeks ago, when I went to google.com, I got a page that said "If you are getting this page, your host files have been hacked." It went on to say follow these steps and download the following patches, etc. I know nothing about that sort of thing, and wasn't sure if it was a hoax or not. Now, every time my computer is restarted, my homepage is reset to something like http://www.windowws.cc or something. It is a search page with several logos with a dog with a magnifying glass on one eye or something like that. I'm trying to do this by memory. Also, I tried to go back to google.com to see what I needed to do, but that page will not come up. I can go directly to other pages of google, but not the main page. I deleted all my cookies, temp files, history, and downloaded the newest version of Explorer. I have no idea how to get things back to normal. I also ran everything I could from Norton, and it didn't fix it. Anyone have an idea?

Okay, now here's my problem....... I downloaded AdAware to get rid of the problem. After I ran it, I could no longer get on Internet Explorer. I am on a friend's computer now, looking for help info. I restored everything that AdAware deleted, but IE is still not opening. Any suggestions to fix that? It's hard to go to any sites to download programs to fix it when I can't go to any sites from my computer in the first place. Thanks for any help.
