I never worked there, but I did see some fat bitch get all angry about being denied a ride on one of the old rollercoasters at the now-defunct Astroworld. The seatbelt didn't fit around her gigantic waist so she started screaming at the poor kid that wouldn't allow her on the ride, as if it was somehow his fault. It went on for a few minutes until she started crying because her little kid was upset because big momma wasn't being allowed on the ride. We had this perverted science teacher at my high school that would arrange the seating charts in his class so that the hot girls would be on the front two rows. As for any proposed trade, the Mets should really think about acquiring Zito or Willis if they can, even if the price is Milledge. The top of their rotation is old and with the NL looking to be pretty ripe for the taking this year, now might be the time to acquire a big time, younger pitcher who can give you a great shot this year and likely be an anchor for the future.

It's no major crime that Taveras didn't win ROTY last season. For a top of the order, speed guy he didn't walk at all, had just about zero pop, and was a trainwreck on defense. Seriously, the guy had about 4 extra base hits after the All Star Break. Were it not for all his little infield bunt singles, he'd have been just about the worst rookie ever. Agreed on Buchholz's stuff though. The kid looks good and if he keeps it up, the Astros win the Wagner trade.

My advice on how to handle shopping at Wal-Mart is this: Go before 9:00 a.m. on Saturday mornings. It's great. Tons of checkout lines open and the shelves are still fully stocked. But the best part is that it's too early in the morning for all the trash and other scum customers to be out of bed and at the store, letting their children wander the ailses unsupervised.
