3/20: Coughing Up Some Bad Movies
sfaJack commented on kkktookmybabyaway's blog entry in KK's Korner
I just want to say that I went to the rodeo here last week to see Larry the Cable Guy perform. Thank God the girlfriend got free tickets (the only reason I went) because it was a pretty awful show (though I did laugh a coule of times when he made fun of retards). Probably 10 Git-R-Done's in the hour he was out there. I have no idea why anyone would watch him in a movie. -
You should let Wood throw another pitch before you include him in that group, Czech.
-
Yeah, I know. That's why I said that...

Instant favorite? Not without an improved o-line, a safety who can COVER (and actually make some open field tackles), and one more playmaking linebacker. Also, Julius Jones has to stay healthy. I MIGHT be right there with you on the TO thing if I was convinced he was absolutely the final piece to the Super Bowl puzzle for the Cowboys. But since he isn't, he's just not worth it. And even if he was I don't know. You risk a lot with a guy like him on the team. I mean, it's not like the Eagles didn't get to the Super Bowl without him...

College basketball would be a better game if the teams had fewer timeouts available to them. Christ almighty.
-
I don't care if it's a 1, 2, or 3 year deal with however many out clauses--signing TO is a bad move and will not be worth it unless they win the Super Bowl next year. And even then I don't like it all that much. I won't cheer TO regardless of what he does. I don't even care if he catches the winning TD in the Super Bowl. He's not worth the emotional investment. Go Cowboys...fuck TO.

Despite MLB's nightmare happening with the US's elimination, can we call the WBC a success so far? There's been some good baseball played--certainly more interesting than your average spring training game.

I remember that Hampton/ISU game. That was crazy. I think this is the first year they actually have seedings and a "bracket" for the NIT but I haven't found one. In the past, I think they always based the matchups on travel and which teams would draw the biggest crowds. As far as finding the bracket, your best bet is probably a college basketball page that has a listing of all the NIT first round games--they might note The NCAA play-in game would be better if it was between the last two "at large" teams. That will never happen though since the power conferences would almost always be the ones losing a team because of it.

I picked the Cubs to finish fourth in the Central in an office pool we put together late last week while everyone else had them no worse than third. I'm thinking that's looking pretty smart right now.
-
Can't speak for the rest of us obviously, but I'm one Dallas fan who does NOT want TO anywhere near Valley Ranch. I have no illusions that he'd be any different for Parcells than he was for Reid and I don't think he's the missing piece to get to the Super Bowl.
-
The only way I want to see TO with the Cowboys next year is if it's on a one-year, minimum salary deal with some big incentives. Even then I don't think he's worth it. The Cowboys are (I'm sorry to say) more than a TO away from the Super Bowl and the headaches and everything else he brings to a team just aren't worth it when you're not a lock for the Super Bowl. And TO + Keyshawn in the same locker room is just asking for trouble. Plus, he disrespected the star. You can't sign a guy that did that.

Let's do some spring cleaning on folder subtitles.

I didn't see/hear what Davis said, but there is a very good case to be made that A&M doesn't deserve to go dancing. They have ONE win on the season that you count as a big win and that was at home by a whopping three points. In conference, they lost to Texas, OU twice, Kansas, OSU once, and barely beat Colorado, at home. Their non-conference schedule is a complete joke, and includes only ONE non-conference road game (Pacific), which of course, they lost. You can make just as good a case for the University of Houston as you can the Aggies. Maybe a better one since they at least beat Arizona at home and LSU on the road.

Aw damn, I was looking forward to the Redskins having 20 rookies on their squad next year.
-
I'm looking forward to Mark Prior giving us a good 200 innings, the emergence of Matt Murton, another strong year from D Lee and a healthy Aramis Ramirez. I'm also looking forward to my visit to Safeco Field next month. And to making a three city road trip to hit Comerica Park, Jacobs Field, and PNC Park in June. Work schedule permitting.

How long until we hear about what a disappointment Team USA was in its debut? My God! Only 2-0!!!!!
-
I watched it. I loved that the guy who claims to be a "pro athlete trapped in a postal worker's body" had what was easily the most pathetic showing. Jerry Rice burning them for TD after TD was the best part to me, especially since he was obviously going at only 3/4 speed or so. I also enjoyed some of the really pathetic throws to first from third base. Total rag arms.

3/5: A Kohls Day Of Hell Shopping With Mrs. KKK

I'm surprised you spend your money at that commie Herb Kohl's store, kkk. -
Spaceman Spiff is racist.

Sorry dude. I don't care enough to try again and, even if I did, I wouldn't get 370,000. I'm much more interested in beating my personal best score.

I hope they did. I'm sick of the stupid Texans fans here that are popping up sports radio and insisting that the Jets would trade the fourth pick, Abraham, and their first rounder next year for the right to move up three whole spots so they can pick Leinart. Because they've spent recklessly for years, making poor decision after poor decision with no regard for the cap. I can't stand Dan Snyder either. Also because it's a crime they made it to the second round this year with no offense to speak of. And it's the Redskins. As a Cowboys fan, anything that makes them worse is fine by me.
-
The Washington Redskins in particular are going to be gutted over this. I am loving the reports that they might have to run 20 rookies out there next year. As am I. The Redskins deserve it!

People always talk about the competitive imbalance of MLB. Since 1995, the first year of the wild card, here are some facts: - Only 8 out of 30 MLB teams make the playoffs every year, which makes it a more exclusive club than the 12 that make the NFL playoffs or the 16 that make it in the NBA/NHL. - 22 different teams have made the playoffs at least once - 18 different teams have won at least one playoff series - 13 different teams have played in at least one World Series, out of a possible 22. - 7 different champions, including 6 of the last 6 years. And honestly, did anyone expect the White Sox to win the Series last year? The Marlins in '03, Angels in '02, and Dbacks in '01? Hell, even the Red Sox in '04? To say baseball is predictable and the "same old teams every year" is a big ignorant.
