No. They're headed for 8-8. Roger Goodell is a large part of the problem. Not for the stuff like suspending Pacman (that is deserved) but more for trying to eliminate the little things that make football, you know, FOOTBALL. "Playing too rough?" WTF does that mean?
-
You didn't know that? Wal-Mart's been promoting the hell out of that for a while.
-
I'm not sure why Cheech is sweating the start time of THIS game. Ouch.
-
Maybe he saw the "Los Angeles" label and got the two teams confused.
-
Do you play both games simulataneously? Or just make the Philly fans stay up way late because their team is playing on the west coast tonight?
-
What would you suggest they do?
-
Well at least now signing Brooks Bollinger makes some sense.
-
Looks like Romo is out 4 weeks with a broken pinkie. With the beating he took yesterday, I'm suprised it's only a broken pinkie.
-
Well, at least both my losses thus far are to NFC opponents.

The company sent out an e-mail the other day stating that our annual "salary adjustment" will take effect January 1 instead of the usual date of April 1. This was meant to boost our morale I'm sure, but all it did was fuel cynical speculation such as "we get it three months earlier--does that mean we're getting 3% less this year?" But yeah, I'm keeping my damn fool mouth shut. I'll just fill in the self-evaluation form with the usual bullshit about how I actually work all the days I'm supposed to and always finish my work on time and let the powers that be fill in their form with all the ways I've failed them. Then I'll wait to see what the o'l paycheck looks like come January.

The Aggies have their traditions and cling to them unlike any other cult school/alumni base you've ever seen. Frankly, it's all they have anymore. Oh, and during the Seattle lawsuit, A&M acknowledged that they had previously sent similar 'cease and desist' requests regarding the 12th man to the Chicago Bears and...the Buffalo Bills. Both teams supposedly complied with them. Seattle didn't; thus, they got sued.

Not on screen, but she was on the phone with Jim for the first couple of minutes to break the news of their engagement to the rest of the office. Hilarious episode last night though I got a spooky feeling at the end when the corporate HR rep scolded Holly for trying to enforce the ethics policies. As someone who has sat in on a meeting about an employee's questionable behavior and been told "it's not really hurting the company so we're going to ignore it", that was way too realistic.

It settled out of court. Seahawks get to keep using the "12th man" phrase, but have to pay a licensing fee to A&M and publically acknowledge that A&M owns the trademark on it.

He remembered he's Sage f'n Rosenfels.

If the Texans lose, Bob McNair should fold the franchise and ask for his $700 million back.
-
I don't know which is worse: a shocking, sudden meltdown such as '03...or this continued feeling of hopelessness.
-
I wouldn't worry too much. I'm sure an equally over-excited Zambrano will implode in the 3rd inning, opening the door for a 6 run inning for LA.
-
Well that should get them going!
-
They're not doing the NLCS? I think PK means that Buck and McCarver won't be calling any Red Sox games until the World Series.
-
You could ask the same question as to why they won 90 games last year.
-
You're a lucky man. We're in the "by Sunday" group, but they're now saying that "by Sunday" means all the lines will be repaired, not necessarily that we'll have power.

Still no power for us. Haven't even seen any utility trucks in the area. I'm only able to post now because I came back to work today and am on my laptop. With the cool front, it's really not so bad. The lack of a refrigerator is kind of getting old and it's a little boring during the day with pretty much nothing to do and nowhere to go, but it's certainly livable. The lack of gas is going to be a serious problem in a few more days, especially in this car-centric city.

9/13: To SFAJack: It's Your Choice To Stay During A Hurricane

Aw, thanks man. I would comment on each item you posted if I could actually see/hear them, but we still don't have electricity and/or cable at the house and this damn work firewall blocks Youtube and all of its ripoffs. But if/when we get the lights back on at home, I'll make double damn sure to tune in. -
This storm has Cat 4 storm surge with Cat 2 winds. So, seriously folks...say a quick prayer for the folks who live on or near Galveston. There's a very, very good chance they're going to get wiped as it currently stands.

Yeah, it's gonna be a wild ride!
