And because they hit 13 home runs in two nights, the umpire threw Charlie Haeger out of the game for hitting Cano with a pitch. Even though the pitch was a knuckleball.

Whenever I go on vacation to a location that is fortunate enough to have a Jack in the Box, I always make it my personal responsibility to eat there.
-
Burger King around me still has a Rodeo Cheeseburger for $1.39 with BBQ and onion rings on it. It's good, but too expensive and I go for the 2 tacos for $1.39 instead (since we have no Jack in the Boxes around these parts).

What Would It Take You To Stop Watching WWE Programming
ISportsFan replied to Nate's topic in The WWE Folder
I used to think that I will always keep watching. I used to tape every single hour of television of professional wrestling and still have thousands of tapes in my house. The demands of my job, hours-wise and effort-wise, have caused me to stop, along with the fact that I just think other entertainment is more worth my time at this point in my life. I still keep up with everything, but I thought that I would never stop and I already have at age 22. -
Bump. I was wondering if anyone had the 5/5/06 and 1/13/06 Smackdowns available.
-
The following shows are outstanding from my list due to VHS errors, so if anyone can PM me with information on getting some of these tapes/DVDs, I would greatly appreciate it. Smackdown 5/5/2006 (Benoit v. Finlay KOR match) Smackdown 1/13/2006 (Benoit v. Orton, World Title Battle Royal) This may be edited later with more additions. Thanks.

Now Cano's homer, horrible pitch.

After he and Jeter both got gift ball calls on pitches directly on the outside corner.

The question is who is going to get the other LCS that Fox doesn't get -- TBS, ESPN, or someone else?

Joe Crede leads all AL 3B in win shares. I would say he deserves to go.

Probably Benoit/Foley/Benjamin/Michaels v. Evolution at Raw in April 2004.

My favourite Benoit WWF matches as inspired by Benoit vs Finlay

Wasn't the submission match with Kane on Raw a 12 minute match with two commercial breaks in it, so we only got to see 6-7 minutes? I haven't watched it in a long time, but I remember being pissed about that. -
Basically it means that if he played a whole season he would have made $22 million, but since he's only playing slightly more than half of the season he's making $12.25 million or whatever it is. Edit: Too slow on the trigger.

I don't think this needs to be a spoiler. The answer is, because he's Jack Bauer.

Not only that, but they've replayed the one with the Red Sox fan on the billboard at least 4 times.
-
Pablo Ozuna had a fantastic night, hitting his first career HR (in something like 334ish at bats) with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game and doubled/scored in the 11th to win the game for the White Sox tonight.

According to Meltzer, Jim Ross will be announcing Backlash and will take over as the lead announcer on Raw either tomorrow night or within a few weeks at the most. I have to assume this relates to the decision to make ECW a new brand; Styles will likely take over the ECW brand and Ross has to come back in to announce the vacated Raw.

I live 5 minutes away from the Schaumburg Flyers' stadium. This is not a surprising trade.

Here is a direct line from Meltzer's article that you guys are all discussing. It is from the paragraph directly below the discussion of counseling and medical help if necessary. "I don't know that they would insist on [counseling or medical help] or bring him back or not, as no decisions were made, but that would be a possible decision. Several, including Tammy Sytch and Jeff Hardy, in the past, were ordered to attend drug rehab, refused, and were let go, although Orton's issues are very different from theirs. Orton has not missed any dates or displayed the usual type of problems that appear to be from drug related behavior."

The OAO '2006 Hall of Fame ceremony' thread.

I was there. Eddie's induction was awesome, and Bret's stories had the place rolling. Even the usher lady in my section, who seemed annoyed at all the wrestling fan presence in the theatre, was laughing pretty visibly by Bret's stories and jokes. By the way, Cena's response was nothing short of amazing. He was booed every time anything resembling him came up. It just shows that the fans that go to these things are mostly smarks, but not really deep smarks, since they find HHH to be amazing and cheered him uncontrollably. I'd say about 75% of the crowd had at least a nice shirt on, with about 30-40% in a tie or even more dressed up (I had a tie on). There were some people who simply should not be allowed to procreate making completely inappropriate and loud comments during the inductions. -
There was a match on 7/18/87 with Dusty v. Tully Blanchard in a barbed wire ladder match during the Great American Bash tour. WWE has the rights to it, but they thankfully did not decide to use them for evil.
-
How about they do Regal/Birchill and Benoit/Finlay?
-
They also acted like Benoit and Angle never had a cage match on Raw, which they show in highlights all the time when Angle does the moonsault off the top of the cage.

Neither of those 2 are bad wrestlers, but neither of those 2 are monumentally better than Davey Boy Smith, who was part of a revolutionary tag team and was probably the biggest British star in WWE history (who was at least a partial cause for a Wembley Stadium sellout), or Owen Hart, who was simply a fantastic worker that had a great run as a main event heel for almost all of 1994 (something neither of those 2 ever did). I was not indicating those two were bad workers or even terrible choices (although they would not be in my Hall of Fame), but that they are already in the same Hall of Fame that Timmer wants to suddenly make an exclusive club just to exclude people like Bulldog and Owen.
