4 Indians, and 1 White Sox. The Sox have no position players, despite having the most runs scored in the big leagues. To be fair, Lew Ford deserves to go by far though, and him not going is one of the bigger snubs this year. Jason

Yeah, IIRC Saturn stiffed Mike Bell (I think that's his name) at a Jakked taping match. The next week, or two weeks later, him and Malenko got jobbed to the APA in less than two minutes, with Bradshaw knocking Saturn "loopy" with the clothesline. This started the crappy Moppy angle. Jason

Strike zones this year have been all over the place. There was a game last week with the Cubs and Astros, I believe (I can't remember since I don't really care about either team), where the strike zone was way high most of the night. It's been that way in numerous White Sox games this year too (and I watch probably 80% of them). It's getting out of hand I think. The problem is, how do you correct it? It's really tough, I would assume, since human judgment is part of the game. But, it's seemingly getting worse, so I don't know what I would do, or what baseball should do. Jason

6'3" to 6'4" and around 185. Jason

I listened to the game at the beach today. Were the jackass' last two strikes to Posada as bad as they sounded? They were bad. Really bad. We got the game because of the Sox/Cubs rain delay, and my goodness MLB has some serious problems with their umpires this year. Speaking of the Chicago game, it was just officially called about 5 minutes ago, so the Cubs won it in 6 innings. Jason

Thanks, I didn't see it. Jason

I don't sweat the little things, like saying the winner of Benoit/Kane "gets the right to face HHH" at Vengeance. But, there are so many BIG things that have hurt his reign. His win over Shawn Michaels was dirty as can be, with the fall coming after the Pedigree by HHH. He's beaten Kane twice: the first time in a match with no backstory that wasn't even the main event, and the second time in a match with 2 commercial breaks over 15 minutes of action. His title reign has taken on a role of a) defending Eugene's honor and b) being in the semi-main event while HHH takes the main role. Those are the main deficiences in Benoit's treatment. To be fair though, he has submission victories over HHH and Michaels (in 3 ways, but submission victories nonetheless), a pinfall win and submission win over Kane, and is being pushed as "for real." But, he's still in the secondary main event when HHH isn't involved. As for the most dominant face run since Rock, I'd say Brock's after WM XIX where he beat Cena in a minor match at Backlash, beat Big Show at Judgment Day in the main event (over HHH's match), and where he was the main focus of the show would be a more dominating reign -- just because he was put in the main event of the show on Smackdown from title win to title loss. I'll re-ask the question: does anyone know if/when they'll show Impact this week in Chicago? Jason

The Bush/Gore map shows that Bush wins a ton more states, but most of those states (although size-wise, are larger) are not very populated. So, the area of red and blue really means nothing. But, on the other hand, winning 15 major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and others should also not be enough to win an election. That would ensure a bad campaign regardless. Honestly, I can't think of a better system than the electoral college. It ensures everyone gets their voice heard and it doesn't concentrate all the power into major cities. Maybe there can be some tweaking to the system, but the system itself is important to make sure less populated areas get represented. Jason

In case Jerry Reinsdorf is reading (or watching the game), he needs to spend the money on another starting pitcher. We'll be 0-8 in 9 starts out of the 5th spot, with Arnie Munoz giving up 10 earned in 2 innings today. This is our 5th person in the 5th spot, and none have worked. Bringing in a quality starter will move Garland to the 4th spot and Schoeneweis to the 5th spot, which would be a really good 4-5 for the AL central (or almost anywhere). But, if history indicates anything, I'm not holding my breath for a move to be made. Jason

The original Tiger Driver was what stupid announcers like Michael Cole call a Tiger Bomb. It is a double underhook powerbomb. Originally there was no Tiger Bomb, but American announcers have transformed the Driver into a Bomb, if that makes any sense. Jason

I'm not a runner for any continuous amount of time myself, but I can say from the times I have done long runs that stretching afterward is more important than beforehand. The difference in soreness was truly unbelieveable between the times I did and didn't stretch afterward. But, again from my non-expert opinion, the stretching may not have much to do with your knee, since (not) stretching has more to do with muscular soreness than joint pain (I would think). Jason

I didn't set my tape for the extreme length Raw went this week, so can someone send me a tape of the show? PM me if you're interested, and of course I'd reimburse for the tape. Thanks. Jason

Did it seem to anyone else that Jericho was starting a feud with Triple H this past week? Would that be dropped for HHH/Benoit at Vengeance? But, who knows, maybe that won't matter much and it was just used to build to HHH/Eugene this coming week. Jason

How many times has a cage match NOT been the ME
ISportsFan replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in General Wrestling
Val Venis v. Rikishi at Fully Loaded 2000 (sorry if this was already mentioned, but I think I didn't see it). There are a whole lot of these out there. Jason -
How very original. Jason

Yeah, only 2 left unless they throw out Hurricane to get squashed for no reason. Jason

Keller says 4:44. Jason

Yep, that's what it is. I'm thinking those last for one week too. Also, the picture for one of the freebies is of Bloodbath (the steel cage DVD), but the description and title are for last year's Bad Blood (a pathetic card with Nash in the main event). Jason

There's absolutely nothing wrong with adding a game one week later, for only the best 2 teams in the nation, seeing as almost every university is off school for winter break. It wouldn't cut into studying or academics at all. Why not have a playoff? The playoff would basically be taking place during the winter break too, just like the +1 game. Jason

Broadway plays, movies like Shrek 2, and millions of other forms of entertainment without much athleticism draw more fans than auto racing, yet they aren't considered sports. I understand you need to be in shape to drive a NASCAR or any other auto racing vehicle, but calling it a sport is really a stretch. Back on topic, I think the Bears are bigger than the Cubs in Chicago. The city is split on Sox and Cubs (not necessarily evenly, mind you, but split nonetheless), but this is a football city and the Bears are everyone's team in town. Then I'd go Cubs, Bulls, White Sox, and Blackhawks. Personally, I don't like the Cubs or Bulls (never have, never will), but the other three will always be my boys. Jason

Right before Austin started doing "What?" incessantly, he had his paranoid character saying "My name is Stone Cold Steve Austin, and I am the World Wrestling Federation Champion" all the time. I felt it was good, since that's all he cared about. Then he started the "What?" and it went downhill. Jason

Hall is finishing up his college degree, so sayeth the Dan Patrick radio show. He starts this month I believe he said. Jason

Jobbing the IC title wasn't completely unexpected, in my opinion anyway. The fact that it was 4 minutes long bothered me, but that's not too much of an offense since Rikishi can't work more than 10 anyway. The problem I had with the IC title loss was that they jobbed Benoit to Rikiski AGAIN three days later at the King of the Ring in the tournament. If Benoit was going to get a feud with Rock, why job him to Rikishi twice right before the feud starts. Of course, the KOR tournament in 2000 was booked awful anyway, and nobody (except Rikishi) will object to that. Jason EDIT: Back on topic, the one that sticks out most in my mind was Jacqueline just winning the CW title from Chavo. It made no sense. But, Chavo Classic winning didn't surprise me because by then I knew they were burying the division.

You are right. Kane, right after the mask being taken off, was getting monster ratings. But, that was more toward the fall, and by the winter he was back down to drawing nothing (especially monetarily). It was probably Shane's fault, but it's true nonetheless. Jason
