"If you are saying this based on the individuals....Pillam,neidhart, and bulldog should never get in and Owen is borderline." This is the same Hall of Fame that has James Dudley, Johnny Rodz, George Steele, Tito Santana, Greg Valentine, and Pete Rose. There is no reason why the aforementioned names do not qualify for a Hall of Fame with these individuals already admitted.

Benoit bladed for sure at Spring Stampede 1999 after coming off the top with a diving headbutt onto Raven (or Saturn) onto the tag title belt in his tag match against them with Malenko. I also think he bladed at Backlash 2004 defending the world title in a 3-way against HHH and HBK. I think there are more, but these are just off the top of my head.

There are some packets that have four crackers in them. I feel that these are much more efficient and less wasteful than the two cracker packets.

Interesting matches we've never seen/heard about
ISportsFan replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
In Thailand the other day, Chris Benoit faced Jaime Noble. I know that's a match many of us would have liked to seen. Edit: Here's the write-up from the Observer website. Chris Benoit beat Jamie Noble I guess it should be money-making match if these two were put in the same ring at the PPV and no doubt ,this was excellent match.80% of the crowd couldn’t remember Noble but when the match started ,they were really into it until the finish.Noble’s chops were very stiff as you can here the smack entire the arena. Lots of basic chain wrestling moves ,which looked impressive.Benoit hit a multiple! german suplex but botched a diving headbutt.Anyway ,he put Noble in a crossface for the submission. -
Vince is taking it back to the good ol days of drugs, sex, and rock and roll.

Free tickets for 1/24 Smackdown taping
ISportsFan replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in The WWE Folder
It just means that you're behind the Titantron so you cannot see entrances. When I sat limited view, there was no problem seeing the ring. -
They probably took the story off WWE.com because he's still scheduled to work one more taping, so they realized that it's not a good idea to let everyone know that he is out when he still has one more show to work.

Something that hasn't been said yet is that the White Sox swapped Damaso Marte to Pittsburgh for Rob Mackowiak. This fills the White Sox's need for Crede insurance and gets rid of Marte, who gave me more heart attacks than anyone over the past 2 years, back to where he came from.

The ROH website has a big sale going on until tomorrow (December 7th), with up to 30% off orders (if it reaches $200 or more). Thus, I feel it's as good of time as any for me to catch up on some ROH. Here are the shows I have already. One Year Anniversary Epic Encounter Road to the Title Night of the Grudges Crowning a Champion Joe v. Punk II Era of Honor Begins I need some recommendations for ROH stuff that I should get during this sale. Hopefully this helps people out if they want to make some purchases over the next two days. Thanks a lot.

You must be under the impression that the CW title is defended on Smackdown. That impression is incorrect, unfortunately.

Not that I'm doubting you, but why would that be the case? Eddie was a face. It makes no sense for Eddie to chase a person in the crowd.

This is what Meltzer said. This says nothing about what the plans were. Nothing. It says that if they did the match today, Orton would win "logically without thinking," which is a Meltzerism anyway.
-
So they did a double turn with Daniels and Joe? First thing I thought of was that Jarrett wants that in order to assure that Joe is no longer a face so he can't be in the world title hunt. That is, if Jarrett truly is the head booker (which it seems is the case according to the reports).

He's referring to when Brian Pillman's widow was interviewed the night after Pillman's death on Raw, and it was not a good PR move to say the least.

I'll remember the house show I went to last week at the end of the show, he did his post-show mic work with Batista to try and get Batista to dance. You know, typical non-funny comedy at the end of a house show. Well, that's not the important part. The first thing he said was something along the lines of, "Every day I get to come out and wrestle is a blessing, and I thank God and thank all of you fans." And it's true. He's had all the life experiences to the point where I can believe that he honestly thinks that way. So, even though this is entirely disappointing and sad, it's tough to feel dreadfully awful when a guy died while he was having a good attitude and good time in his life. He died while on top and he had the chance to turn his life around, and if all the reports are true that he did turn his life around, he ended up winning.

You say that the White Sox "set the tone" when, in actuality, I think the offer was $52 million over 4 years ($13 per year) and Konerko is likely to be offered money well beyond that by Anaheim and, perhaps, Boston (along with other big spenders). Let's be honest here, the overspending will be steep, but it is clearly not due to the White Sox "setting the tone." Reinsdorf will never set the tone in overspending, that's for sure.

Benoit's "charisma" has always been underrated. His promos are not amazing, but they're not awful either (except when he's scripted crappy comedy). He was fully capable the day after he won at Backlash 2004 to give a decent promo in Calgary. And, since he's the better wrestler, I'll take him. That's not to say that I wouldn't take Jericho in a heartbeat, though.

I know, and as a Sox fan, I'm dreading the answer.

What are the chances that the defending champ White Sox don't even make the playoffs next season, considering they're in a division with Cleveland and the AL wild card race will be loaded?

Eddie went after a fan at the Champaign, IL house show on November 6. Jason

Seconded. He may not be all that fast but he gets incredible jumps on the ball and he takes a bunch of hits away from people. And, as shown by defensive win shares, he's at least one of the best defensive OF in the league. Torii Hunter was injured for half of the year, but his reputation gives him the gold glove. Jason

1992 is a great year for the WWF to us because, simply, they put out about 2 ***1/2+ matches per PPV. The Rumble had the best Rumble match ever, WrestleMania had Bret/Piper and Savage/Flair, SummerSlam had Savage/Warrior and Hart/Bulldog, and Survivor Series had Bret/Michaels and the Flair+Ramon/Perfect+Savage tag. This is considerably better than other years. Also, when there were good matches in prior years, they were all located low on the card. In 1992, the good matches were high profile.

Harrelson is many things, but phony and insincere are not two of them.

2005 CWS 31 games 95 at-bats 6 runs 19 hits 2 2B 1 3B 1 HR 3 RBI 4 BB 15 K 0 SB 1 CS .200 ave .232 OBP .274 Slug .506 OPS That's Geoff Blum's year with the White Sox. And, to put it bluntly, those stats paint his second half of the season in a very positive light considering how awful his at bats looked most of the time. To say that I am very gratefully surprised would be the most drastic understatement of the year, especially after how awful the White Sox played all night. Sure, they hit Oswalt hard through the first 5 innings and had one inning where all the hard hits found gaps. But the rest of the game was error-filled, mistake-ridden, and to get a win from Blum is just awesome. I feel really good for the guy.

I thought they made the Blue Jays close the Skydome back when the Blue Jays made it that far. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Back then, according to ballparks.com, the decision was made by the American League. Maybe the policy has changed since then. Either way, the policy for the World Series has never been in the hands of the respective club. That is not to say that this decision is right or wrong, but it does shed some light on the situation from back in the day when each league made decisions for their teams instead of MLB for the World Series.
