The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection DVD Cover...
ISportsFan replied to Steviekick's topic in The WWE Folder
And like I said in another thread, it would probably take 7 or 8 discs to get all that in one collection. Jason -
I hope, for Shawn's sake, that he did not help in designing this shirt. It's kinda sacreligious, and by "kinda" I mean quite a bit. Jason
-
Big Show in the bathroom = ratings, obviously. Jason
-
Even if the Cubs/Braves game runs over, the A's/Sox game will start on ESPN2 and move over to ESPN when the NL game ends. Jason
-
That match was in the first ever edition of Velocity. Jason
-
I had the exact same problems when I tried to use those programs. Jason
-
This would be about a 7 or 8 disc set if this were true. Jason

Begnini's Life is Beautiful, the story about a family in a concentration camp. I always loved that ending. And of course, the ones already listed are pretty standard... Boondock Saints, Se7en, and many, many others that I could list right now if I didn't have to run off to class this morning. Jason

Eddie Guerrero get into a confrontation with a fan
ISportsFan replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
Eddie's doesn't either, at least not recently. Jason -
What in the world started going on in here? Jason

Ouch. Now who is this an insult toward? Jason

- Paul E. Dangerously & Arn Anderson v. Missy Hyatt & Rick Steiner. Speaking of sad, pathetic jokes, we've got about 3 minutes of airtime left at this point and another cage match to go. Everyone comes out and the Hardliners kidnap Missy Hyatt, thus depriving the fans of seeing her beat up Paul E., which was the whole point of having this crappy mixed match to begin with. Anderson and Steiner half-ass it for a minute or so, and then Paul E. foolishly tags in, gets clotheslined by Rick, and pinned. And that's it. End of show. (Great American Bash 1991, Baltimore, MD, Keith's rant) They switched the planned singles match (I believe it was, but someone correct me if I'm wrong, the memory's shady at the moment) to this tag match so Hyatt could be taken away so it wouldn't violate man v. woman laws. - Disco Inferno v. Jacqueline. I was pretty pissed off about the match back in 1997, but with all the crap that has gone on in wrestling since then, I've mellowed to it. The match is still a horrible abomination, and Jackie isn't just a bad female wrestler, she's a bad wrestler period. But now I can just view it as the crappy match it is, rather than a personal offense. Jackie gets the pin off a cradle at 9:39, 9:00 of which was stalling. DUD (From Scott Keith's Halloween Havoc 1997 rant, HH97 was in Las Vegas, NV) I believe the problem was at Great American Bash 1991 (the Flair protest show) in Baltimore with Paul Dangerously and Missy Hyatt, but I will check that out. I hope you're right. I just don't think you are. Jason

Will Albert/Benoit be good? Maybe. Great? Absolutely not. Will Big Show/Eddy be good? Maybe, actually probably. Great? Absolutely not. Will Vince/Steph be good? Absolutely not. I don't get where you think they'll somehow make this watchable, but there is no chance on this earth. Whenever Steph and Vince have PPV matches that are even watchable they are with main eventers or top-level women wrestlers, respectively, and are overbooked like crazy. One of those equations will be in full effect, since the overbooking machine will be on fire. But, since I can almost guarantee that somehow we will be expected to believe that Steph can somehow hang in there with Vince for what will likely be 10 minutes of pure crap is ridiculous. Angle/Cena will definitely be good. But it won't be great. Brock/UT will probably be good. Won't be great. The rest (save maybe the tag title match) won't be given enough time to warrant anything. Thus, this card will not be better than Vengeance. It will be better than Bad Blood and Unforgiven. But I could take 20 guys from my neighborhood and make a better show than Unforgiven (sarcasm, don't rip my head off for that). The card as I presented it (if that's how it goes down, remember we're not totally sure past the top 2 and Angle/Cena's almost definite too) will be AVERAGE. Thumbs in the middle. 5/10. Jason

B.S. Vengeance had 3 potential awesome matches. This potential card I just listed has Angle/Cena, and depending on Rey/Eddy/Tajiri/tag titles there could be one or 2 more. Angle/Cena will not be as good as any of the three top matches at Vengeance, the tag title match (if there is one) will not be as good as WGTT/Rey-Kidman, and Tajiri defending won't get enough time. Will NOT be as good as Vengeance, probably not as good as WrestleMania. Since I like wrestling though, I hope I'm wrong. And on your second point, at least Enos is carryable to a good to great match. Albert sucks. Jason
-
So what's No Mercy looking like? Brock v. UT (***ish if they both have working boots on) Vince v. Steph (I quit, -**** if they both have working boots on) Eddy v. Big Show (** if we're lucky) Angle v. Cena (***1/2 if we get something like their first meeting many moons ago but longer) Benoit v. A-Train (God bless this, if Benoit gets Albert on PPV I'm gonna punch my TV) Maybe Guerreros in a tag defense Probably a Rey Mysterio match and a Tajiri title defense. So, it looks sucktacular compared to what it could be, of course. And don't say I'm just being a smark who is whining, Albert should never face Benoit on PPV. Ever. And Vince and Steph need to get a room if they want to roll around together. Jason
-
Vince was a face. The whole reason for the 6 pack challenge was that Vince won the title from HHH (with Steve Austin's help), and then Vince vacated the belt, setting up the 6-way at Unforgiven. Jason

I went with Katie Vick over the Black Scorpion. I don't want to ever see stupid magic tricks on the #1 angle in the promotion, but corpse screwing doesn't belong in any promotion from top to bottom. Jason
-
Jake Roberts! I noticed, don't worry. Jason
-
No, I believe you are actually the only one that watched it. I didn't even know that their championship was going on. And it's only a 3-game series? Bah. Jason

I have 4 sections of math homework due Friday (26 problems that will probably take me upwards of 6-8 hours, and I don't really understand it all that well - this is the first year I've ever had difficulty understanding math problems), and I will probably do it Thursday night. Oh, and I have a referee class from 7-10 that night, so I assume that it will be done after that. Jason
-
You'll probably know one or MAYBE two of the matches ahead of time if you read Meltzer the day of the show. So if you're interested, that's probably best case scenerio. Plus, I'm assuming that the show will not sell out and you can get a ticket the day of the show, just like in every other city in America. Jason

It was six days before WrestleMania XV, so more than a year away from WrestleMania 2000. They did it, well, who knows why Russo did anything in that era? Jason

I'm pretty sure Yang and Hayashi were both buyout guys. Jason
