How the hell did you remember that? I don't even remember that.

Link Whether you like the band or not... this is one of the coolest things ever.

People who live in the midwest get blacked out from a high amount of teams. The blackout rules are strange in relation to what they consider hometown teams. I've had MLB.tv for two years and I'd have no problems recommending it. It's always getting better.

I have heard from numerous sources that they are going the Anchorman route here and showing highly edited versions of what's in the trailer or not showing certain parts of the trailer at all in the actual film. I think they realize that no one appreciates all of the best jokes being given away in the trailer.

Or not. Can't believe he got out of that. Damn Great game, though.

Another reason I hope the Marlins never trade Willis: check out this picture...

"The Hammer" Josh Willingham hits a two run pinch hit HR off Billy Wagner to take down the Mets. That makes 5 HR in 6 games for him.

My sig? I don't know. Just one of the many "Marlins acting like the silly kids they are" pics that have surfaced over the past few months. It's funny because Cabrera realizes that it's getting caught on camera.

I'm pretty bummed that the rumored Soriano three way that included the Marlins didn't go down. I would have loved to have Cameron Maybin in the Marlins system. Oh well.

Do you finally care to rethink your preseason position on the Florida Marlins? (No chance in hell I was forgetting 100+ loss predictions)

I actually think he's innocent. His testosterone level is lower than usual, but the average is out of whack because his epitestosterone is super-low. Things that dramatically lower your epitestosterone include cortisol and he was getting legal cortisone shots for his hip. I think he's gonna end up innocent.

Ricky Nolasco is not making the Phillies or their fans happy tonight.

Not too bad of a band. Suzie is a pretty good song for what it is. Discuss if you care.

The first episode is entitled "A Tale of Two Cities" and airs October 4th. They've added the "Brazilian Tom Cruise" to the cast but absolutely refuse to say what role he will play. The Numbers will revealed through that complex internet Lost thing that is going on. That's all I got. I got that through my Gmail and now whenever I try to cycle back through to find the link on the top it's not showing up. If I see it again I'll post the link.

From deadspin... UPDATE: Another reader, with "contacts on the inside," refutes the sexual harassment whispers: "Anyone who is saying sexual harassment either has been given bad third-hand info or is lying. Harold has had a couple of rather heated arguments with the producers at "Baseball Tonight," and some of the suits at ESPN over the program's coverage of Alex Rodriguez. At the last production meeting, when it was made clear they were going to really play up the A-Rod angle during coverage of the Yankees-Texas series, Harold had a colossal meltdown, which led to his dismissal. The sexual harassment allegations are even more laughable when you consider that he is being replaced by Steve Phillips -- a man who has never met a skirt he wouldn't chase and who was caught in one of the more embarrassing front office sexual harassment scandals in MLB history." True? Not true? This, like the rest of it, just reinforces our point: We don't know. And the longer ESPN pretends like nothing happened, like they're a corner shop with three employees, believing this stuff can possibly remain private, the more talk there will be. Still, this is the lone "it's not sexual harassment email" we've received.)

He's not being traded. And he doesn't want to be.

I can take a 3 hour lunch if I so please. One of the (very few) perks of being a graduate student. Can work whatever hours you want. Get plastered and can't wake up? No problem.

That MTV Cribs skit was among the funniest things I've seen on Chapelle show. "I'm not even gonna talk about Africa, cause motherfuckers over there are starvin' to death. That's not ballin."

Marlins said something earlier about not making ANY trades, which I am hoping is false, because Joe Borowski and Wes Helms can bring back some minor value and I'm of the opinion that they need to go. Especially Borowski, with the way the Marlins bullpen has filled up with dependable young arms with killer stuff (Messenger, Kensing, Tankersley) But yeah... Willis is going nowhere.
-
The Marlins held a closed door meeting today where they said that they are almost definitely not making any trades...certainly not for Willis. Hopefully that can end those rumors until the offseason or later. Dontrelle is 4th on the Marlins in wins this year.

I don't get the Yankee fans and A-Rod. Don't they realize that they are only making it worse and are booing the man who will quite possibly re-write the baseball record books? It's pretty crazy. And the Marlins have a killer rotation. Couldn't make a post without mentioning the fish, could I?

That planting the seeds comment is classic.

Oh Say Can You Sing is the "negative example" that Peter Gammons new CD is constantly being mentioned as being "way better than." Apparently it's pretty much a disaster.

LeBatard is my favorite fill in, though. Last year when they had the shows with Jason Whitlock and another awful host...it was hard to watch. Bad: Bob Ryan and Lebatard Really bad: Jackie McMullen and Norman Chad Hell on earth: Jason Whitlock Norman Chad even ruins my favorite guilty pleasure, poker on TV, with his inane obviously scripted jokes.

Anibal Sanchez followed up his 7 shutout innings of 2 hit ball against Roger Clemens by throwing 7 shutout innings of one hit ball this afternoon. How are Red Sox fans feeling about this trade? Beckett has been good, but it appears they gave up two studs and Harvey Garcia and Jesus Delgado are lighting up the minors.
