$5100 I'm a moron. This might not end up going through as there are a lot of idiots on eBay but with most selling for around $1200-$1400... I highly regret not pre-ordering one from every single place I could think of.

Dodgers are interested in Delgado and Pierre both. I had previously read - unrelated to this- that they were planning on trading some of their prospects for proven talent. Time to raid the best farm system in baseball. The Marlins will be contenders again in no longer than 3 years if they can get the right prospects out of this. They already had one of the best farm systems in baseball in the pitching department and now they are only getting stronger.

It says right there in the article that Boston is paying the entire $18M. Since I'm on the almighty's ignore list, maybe someone else can inform him that he missed a paragraph.

Interesting. Step out for dinner and miss everything. I like this trade better than the proposed Rangers trade, but I was downright salivating at the Joel Guzman/Chad Billingsley rumor that was floated earlier today. Thanks for the memories, Josh. Now that he's on the Sox I have some cards to sell.

No, no, no. I think Beckett is awesome. That was in reference to all that went on in pages 13-14. I think Beckett would be the ace of about 85-90% of the teams in the MLB.
-
Looks like we're about to have ourselves an old-fashioned bidding war. Beckett is better than any free agent on the market, easily...so why not... I'm guessing all of these other teams and all of the media didn't get the memo that Beckett is terrible.

Good episode.

Yes, it certainly was. Considering I am from PA and that my boss and my girlfriend's father are both diehard Eagles fans...even sweeter.

Wait, why should he get a banning? For that, or something else? For what it's worth, if those whispers are real - I find the ones from the first season more telling.
-
I came up with my own opinion - presenting ideas that had nothing to do with anything Al said, yet I'm still dangling from his nuts? Just because we happen to agree? Right.

Notice that none of these things involve leaving the house. NYU - that was years ago man. Years. And my original intentions with this thread were misinterpreted. I wanted people to list other things, hence the "things" part in the title. Oh well.

It has something to do with the fact that ever since Voldemort begged Dumbledore for the position many many years ago - no one has been able to hold the position for moe than one year and Snape has a more important agenda. I'm sure I'm missing details, but it's all explained in the "Half Blood Prince."

Well, other suggestions are welcome. Frigid Soul can certainly just kill himself any day now and just get it over with. He's already past step 1 of forgetting that the rest of the world exists and we all know the thought has crossed his mind at least once... if you were 3 bills, wouldn't it cross your mind too? I find the fact that I still have a very bad name on these boards after 3 years hilarious.

I just realized, how many episodes into the season, that Kristen Wiig is Dr. Pat from "The Joe Schmoe Show". Holy shit. Good for her.

Ha! Considering I don't live in Florida and have only been in the state once, I hope the team moves to a place that appreciates them. They also need to get Loria out of the owner's box...he just doesn't want to spend the money it's going to take to win. Let me put it this way...the way things are shaping up...if Delgado also goes, the Marlins will have a very young exciting team with a very young manager. Who knows what can happen? It could turn out great and all the prospects can contribute or they can be awful. At least it will be interesting.

Dallas Morning News is reporting that the deal will be finalized by Monday. Beckett/Lowell for Danks/Blalock. I'm not too thrilled about it, but Danks should be a good fit for Florida. Lowell will produce in Texas, I'm sure of it, and I'm practically convinced that Beckett is going to reel off 3 Cy Youngs. The talent is certainly there... Damn it.

No, I'm not an absolute homer. You're just wrong. Awww...baby doesn't like being told he's wrong. Better put me on his ignore list right next to other prominent items like self respect, females, and the outside world.

Josh Beckett has already proven he has what it takes. He carried a team throughout the entire 2003 playoffs, recording in succession: A CG season saving win against the Cubs in Game 5 of the NLCS. A relief appearance in Game 7 to shut the door of the NLCS. A strong outing in the World Series that was lost by the bullpen. And finally the CG Shutout victory over the Yankees to clinch the WS. He also happened to be 15-8 last year with 178.7 IP. Oh, and hello, he's 25 years old. Nolan Ryan had problems with blisters too early in his career and look how that turned out. The injuries Beckett has are blisters and abdominal strains - no problems with his arm or legs or anything that can have an effect on his pitching long term. To say he is equal with Blalock is one of three things: 1) Complete and total stupidity 2) Grasping on to the injury concept and trying to run with it when there isn't as much substance there as you would like or 3) Trying to argue with Al no matter the circumstance. Blalock straight up for Beckett - you gotta be fucking joking.

You think so? I'd rank Scott Olsen above Diamond, but that's it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> May have been slightly exaggerating with 5, but 1) Olsen 2) Josh Johnson 3) Chris Volstad 4) Aaron Thompson The last two are just a guess, but both project just as highly as Diamond - especially Volstad. I hate the trade.

Big rumor out of Miami that the Marlins may trade Josh Beckett and Mike Lowell to the Rangers for Hank Blalock and Thomas Diamond. I will throw up in my mouth if that happens. Blalock is awful away from their launching pad and the Marlins have no less than 5 pitchers in the minors who are more likely to be MLB stars than Diamond will ever be. Luckily, no one out of Texas has said anything about it..so I'm thinking it's garbage. It has to be, for my sanity.

Ten team league... I'm running away with it. QB: Bledsoe RB: Lamont Jordan RB: Clinton Portis RB: Domanick Davis WR: Plaxico Burress WR: Larry Fitzgerald TE: Jeremy Shockey K: Neil Rackers DST: Bears Bench: QB: Leftwich RB: Cadillac Williams RB: Michael Pittman WR: Reggie Wayne WR: Donte Stallworth WR: Joe Jurevicious WR: Drew Bennett WR: Ben Troupe DST: Bengals I had McNabb - traded him for Portis and Leftwich. Turned out to be a great move and I also traded Thomas Jones straight up for Shockey (as you can see - I don't need any RBs). Now I'm cofortably in first and I don't think it's gonna relinquish. We all put in $70 this year as well so It could be a happy January.

Wait a second, you haven't read the books? I have tickets to the 10:30 showing tonight. I bought tickets on Tuesday and this was the only one that wasn't sold out. Can't wait.

It was incredible. They opened with "Running out of Time", "ended" with Bandages, and had an encore of "Jingle Jangle", "Elevator", and "Goodnight, Goodnight." They played for over an hour and managed to squeeze in every good song they had including an un-named new song which was totally killer and all of their EA Sports classics. That's all I have to report.
-
You know...that totally went right over my head.

And being shown pictures of Jesus Christ, even though it was 75 million years ago.
