Kanye went off on a diatribe about how the National Guard was all on their way to New Orleans to kill "our people" and that George Bush hates black people. He was then immediately cut off. I just caught a few seconds of it, so I could be missing some of it - slightly off. I know Kanye is all about bringing attention to himself, but this was in the middle of a televised benefit. I think the shit from conservative America is about to hit the fan.

I'm not so sure Kate would be with Jack either. I was going over the DVDs and someone was asking Kate why she wouldn't move to the caves and her answer was..."Sometimes you need to have faith" or something similar to that. It immediately popped into my head that she might side with Locke even though Jack is her man. Funny DVD moment: The deleted scene where Charlie tries to impress Shannon and starts singing You All Everybody. She then goes on to trash Driveshaft and asks him if he has the song stuck in his head, "their only song." After he says yeah, she says, "I'm sorry" and he walks away. It was a pretty funny scene.

Another Marlins win over the Astros. Alright, alright, alright.

Dontrelle Willis just hit a 428 foot upper deck bomb in Houston to put the Marlins up 6-1. Man, I love watching him play.

I'm surprised no one mentioned it yet, but Barry makes his season debut tonight. Should be interesting tomorrow, especially if he jacks one out. Marlins have an early advantage against the 'Stros and Willis appears to have his A game but could change very easily.

I actually just saw this on Saturday. I thought it was a great movie, and I was really surprised by the performance of Ludacris. I'm just really sorry it took me so long to see it.

Either way, it's the season premiere tonight, so we should be happy about that.

I'm hoping someone can help me. Sometime between last night and tonight I've lost all ability to get audio from WMP and Real player files. I use Quicktime 99% of the time, so it's mostly not a problem but now I can't watch MLB.TV, so I'm feeling a bit of a crippling hole here. When I try to access a file, it says that it may not play correctly because it was compressed using an unsupported codec. However, they all worked yesterday. Does anyone know what the hell has happened, and more importantly how can I fix it?

I just downloaded MPlayer OSX and now apparently all is well again. I don't know what the fuck happened. Thanks for attempting to help, Tyler. The fact that I figured this out for myself is truly a miracle.

Anything that ends in .mpg, .wmv, .asi, or .avi doesn't work. Now that I check everything, I was wrong. Quicktime player still produces problems when an .avi or .mpg file is used. Basically, sometime between today and yesterday I've lost capability to play all of these file types.

Yeah, I saw the pregame show. Kanye performed Heard Em Say in LA with Adam Levine directly followed by Maroon 5 performing Harder to Breathe. I heard, I'd say, a grand total of zero boos throughout the entire performance. The man wasn't even in Boston. But why let the facts get in the way.

Just watched Walkabout again since the first time it aired on TV... I just can't believe I didn't figure out Locke was paralyzed before the end of the show. They gave so many hints throughout the show. It's great watching the episodes again on DVD...just for the little things. I've only gotten through the first four episodes so far, but my favorite little thing... From the pilot... Kate goes to steal boots off one of the dead and looks up to see Locke catching her. At first it looks like he has a disapproving look, but then he smiles with an orange stuck in his mouth. I definitely didn't remember that and it was cool to see.

Interesting. Take away Dontrelle's three starts after the All-Star Game... Minus "those" 3 games: 20-5, 1.58 ERA Shows how much one really bad week can hurt you.

In fact, I got my latest iPod (20 gb color photo) for $70 due to their student union plan (still ongoing). Buy a new computer, get a $179 credit toward the price of any iPod. Can't say I really came out ahead due to the price of the computer, but I never thought someone could get so many compliments on a computer as I have since I purchased it. (iMac G5, biggest screen size) Yes, I am a total apple shill. Baaaa.

I believe Lowell is under contract through 2007. His contract was originally tied to the stadium, but last offseason that was wavied and the contract went into effect without clauses. Whoops.

Ah, the ol' Willy Mays Hays treatment. Nice. In other news that may be of interest to others, Jack McKeon has told Mike Lowell in no uncertain terms that he is benched for the rest of the year. Good news for the Marlins - bad news for the other wild card contenders. The Marlins just lost their biggest liability. Jeremy Hermida got his first start tonight and is hitting in the #2 hole...where he should be hitting. He's responded with an RBI double and three at bats where he didn't look clueless - more than Lowell has done in the past three weeks.
