    Live 8 Annoucned

Did OLP play anything from the new album, Healthy in Paranoid Times? Curious to see how it's sounding...

Can't believe Beckett is fucking injured again. Oblique muscle. Same shit as last year. Blister, oblique... now all it will need is one more blister to completely mirror last season. He'll never get it together. I've defended and argued many times why Beckett is better than Willis, but I think it is becoming high time for me to eat my words.

    Family Guy

Thought it was pretty funny. The thing that stood out the most to me is Stewie getting on Brian for the novel. At the time I found it rather amusing, but I tried to repeat it to my girlfriend today when she was reading and I couldn't get through one sentence without busting out in laughter. Got a protagonist, yeah? You'll need one of those. Beginning, middle, and end? Yeah... And on, and on, and on. Just hilarious. And overall, I thought it was a pretty funny episode.

Al's right. Watching Derrek Lee for all those years, I never thought he was capable of a season like this.

    This Week In Baseball

I've been in Central America for the past eight days. And I missed one of the few things I've been really looking forward to, Scott Olsen's MLB debut. From the sound of things, it went rather well. Here's hoping for two things: 1) Marlins don't wuss out and send him back to AA when Beckett comes off the DL. Move Leiter to the bullpen and keep Olsen. 2) Hopefully he can make a run like Dontrelle did two years ago. He's actually considered a better prospect than Dontrelle was at the time. But man, the Marlins need to snap out of it, or they are in trouble.
  7. I'm on Chapter 15 of Ninja Gaiden, the penultimate, and I think this is my favorite game of the last two years. It's so much fun, not to mention hard as hell. The most fun I've had playing a game in who knows how long. What is your favorite game of the past two years?

Jack Bauer will save the day again..

I liked that alot too. That's why I would be first in line for this movie.

Jack Bauer will save the day again..

Jack has to sleep with a hot terrorist to get information. Swearing, and lots of it. Hell, I'd see it no matter what. Not sure if it's a good idea or not, but I would be there opening night.

Well, I read that Baldelli may need Tommy John surgery. How many other position players have had to get TJ surgery?

A day after contemplating whether to skip Al Leiter from the rotation, Marlins manager Jack McKeon made the decision official Monday. Leiter, who is 2-6 with a 6.75 ERA in 14 starts, will work out of the bullpen until most likely the Marlins' series against the Devil Rays, June 24-26. "With his experience, maybe he can help us out of the bullpen," McKeon said. The 39-year-old Leiter last threw in relief in 1993, while he was with the Blue Jays. That year, he appeared in relief 22 times and made 12 starts. Leiter has been a starter ever since, and has enjoyed an impressive career, compiling a 157-126 record. The Marlins are in position to go with a four-man rotation through the Tampa Bay series because of off-days on Thursday and June 20.

    Family Guy 6/12

I can't believe people didn't like it. I watched it again and it's definitely my favorite episode of all time. All the bits worked on me. All of them. Usually it's about 50-70%, but I was into them all last night.

    Family Guy 6/12

I was laughing nonstop the entire episode. This could quite possibly be my favorite Family Guy episode of all-time.
  16. I loved Fable. And then all of a sudden it was over. There was no development at all towards the end. It was just PLOT POINT, PLOT POINT, PLOT POINT, END. I was disappointed by that. On another end, I just picked up San Andreas for Xbox today. I'm hoping it lives up to the hype.

He's awful, you're right. But he's also the second highest paid Marlin this year behind Mike Lowell (Delgado is backloaded). I know that's a bad way to run a franchise - but it also means they'll keep trotting him out there. I still think he's worth the money. I think he's had a great influence on Beckett and especially Dontrelle.

Things in life that annoy you.

Sounds to me like Damaramu makes trouble where there isn't and is annoyed by just about everything.

I think that has more to do with profit margin than it does with wanting people to die.

Oh, I'm with you on the negative effects of sucralose. I have a Nutrition degree, so I know all about it. However, the part I was questioning was the government conspiracy.

From Elias... • Livan Hernandez threw 127 pitches in eight innings in defeating Oakland, 4-3. Hernandez threw 150 pitches in his last start (Friday vs. Florida). That total of 277 pitches is the most thrown by any pitcher over a two-game span since Randy Johnson threw 281 in July 1999. I'm convinced that he can throw 140 pitches every start for the rest of his career and have no negative effects from it. HIS ARM IS PURE RUBBER.
