Whoa, that was in 2003 - you certainly know how to tell a fresh and original joke!
-
Uh huh. Banky didn't do anything except start something, and then sit back and watch while everyone piled on.

I think we should all try and be more like Frigid. So, in honor of that, I'm gonna go and injure myself... cry about it, and then gain 150 pounds. Throughout the ordeal, I will post approximately 30 times a day and continually try and convince myself that these people are my real friends. I'll keep everyone updated!

I'm hoping Chris Rock does something that upsets everyone.

I know... poor Ryan Howard. That doesn't mean that someone won't bite on Stokes - who projects as a thirty homer guy (even though I think he has girly wrists). I certainly don't mean an ace, but I think Stokes would yield a big return.

1. St. Louis 2. Florida 3. Philadelphia 4. San Fran 5. Chicago Article Maybe this will finally be the year Bobby Abreu gets the respect he deserves?

I think in a few years the Marlins will have a restocked pitching staff. Taylor Tankersley and Scott Olsen both project as #2 starters and Olson has already had some success in the minors. But as for this year - you're right. They have no pitching depth and they won't until midseason when they unload Jason Stokes for a frontline pitcher.

Well, there has been hints that if Conine/Encarnacion do not perform well that Hermida will get a midseason callup. Obviously, I agree with you. He's only 21 years old - but I'm hoping they are right and that he gets a chance this year. Cabrera jumped straight from AA and while Hermida might not be as good as he is... he's still a good player. I think the Phillies have a good lineup too, probably equal to the Marlins. I think some of your estimations are home town favored. Abreu is great, but aside from BB/K ratio he doesn't "smoke" Cabrera in anything. He's a better player... now. Obviously, we are not going to agree here. I know Philly has a great lineup. I just wish it were April already.

freewebs is pretty popular. That's what I had my site on before I bought a domain. It's easy to update as well.

In what should come as a surprise to no one, I think you have the Marlins underrated, Al. Two great table setters, a 3-4-5 equal or better than every team in the league (except St. Louis) and LoDuca, Encarnacion, Gonzalez batting 7-8-9. I fully hope and expect to see Jeremy Hermida take over for Encarnacion at some point this year.

That was awful.

I think it will be a 3 team dogfight between the Braves, Phillies, and Marlins. I just don't see the Mets signings helping them to make up that much ground. They were truly awful last year. They traded away one of the potential AL ROYs in Scott Kazmir and they can really use some of that pitching this year.

Jesus Christ, grow a fucking spine, man. Is fitting into an internet posse really on the top of your concern list?

Well now that I've been called out by a fat lazy slob who makes 21.9 posts a day... I can die fulfilled.

Holy shit, you're friends with Mole? But where's his mohawk?

Florida Marlins: I think of Gary Sheffield but I think the main consensus would be Jeff Conine Tarheels: Michael Jordan Giants: Phil Simms

The best part about Locke is that he just shows up randomly and disses out sage advice. At least three or four times an episode - I find myself thinking how cool Locke is. At this point, he has influenced nearly everyone on the island in some way and it's usually in a great scene. By far the best character in any TV show I watch (sorry Jack Bauer).

I haven't really posted outside the sports forum for six months, save an occasional post here or there, but I just have to mention that Damaramu is the worst poster to ever grace these forums. Maybe I am biased because I mainly read the sports forum, but he infests any thread he posts in - in ways Anglesault could have only dreamed about. I can't even open the college basketball thread anymore because every other post is about OU. YOU ARE A MORON.

That list made me laugh quite often. My friends and I talk the same way about Jack Bauer. Just my favorite two... "Over the course of the last day, he has killed about thirty men who were trained to kill, survived a plane crash, parachuted out of another plane and faced seemingly certain death twice. Oh, and also, one hour ago he was clinically dead. He is unequivocally the toughest son of a bitch ever to exist." "By the end of Season Three, Jack has pretty much reached a level of omniscience. He knows what everyone's thinking, he knows what everyone's about to do, and he's never really worried about what's going to happen because he knows it already. " And also, a top 5 list of Jack's yells... brilliant. I personally think number one is DAMN IT! the yell that ended the show the week the guy got shot by the helicopter.

Anybody know the song that was playing at the end? I want to download it. EDIT: Found it... imdb boards are good for something. Delicate by Damien Rice in case anyone else happened to be interested.

Hey guys, this is the Sports folder, so how about you both shut the fuck up? There has been no mention of anything even remotely like that out of me in nearly a year. It's not like any of the stuff you bring up is recent in the least. Just drop it already - you are pathetic.
