Wow, so nice it had to be posted in two folders.

This would have had no effect on me at all, but now that I go to school at UNC I'm all for any extra ACC hoops and tournament games. It doesn't launch until March, coincidentally just in time for March Madness.

Either that or Dorn's wife was on the prowl again.

He then added, "I never had to deal with anything like this when I was in the California Penal League."

The home stretch? I can see your point, but I can also see it the Marlins way. They play the Cubs with 27 games remaining, so save the arms a bit at the beginning so everyone will be fresh with 7-10 games/days left in the season. That's when it will probably be decided, so you want to have your team as healthy as possible. Then again, they could blow it early and that wouldn't matter. I think it's a case of being optimistic instead of pessimistic.

They have 30 games in 27 days, including 3 double headers in a two week span, so they want to save their arms a bit.

Good news for Bruiser and the rest of the Cubbies fans here. I read this morning at the Miami Herald that the Marlins are calling up Single A pitcher Logan Kensing to toss one of the games of Friday's double header. He has never thrown a single inning of competitive baseball above A and he is younger than quite a few of us at 21 years of age. He is 6-7 at single A, but he has a decent ERA of 2.96 and decent peripherals at 30 BB to 100 K. Might be too much too soon. More good news for all the other wild card teams is that in the article, the Marlins seem unhappy and panicked about the break they just had. Hopefully something like this doesn't derail their season.

There were actually some really good segments on the show. My favorite was showing all of the anchors in their pre-ESPN days. Steve Levy was a weatherman and they were all mostly local news anchors. They also did a whole segment on the This is Sportscenter ads and bloopers, which as you can imagine, heavily featured Charley Steiner. It was the perfect show to DVR and skip the crap and watch the good parts, because the good parts were quite good.

Easy now, Al. Logic may be no good here.

Just checked weather.com and they are calling for thunderstorms for all three days of the Marlins/Mets series. They are mostly scattered, but it looks like the weather is going to play more havoc yet.

Flipping through the channels last year, there was a 20 minute "movie" on HBO called something like Pearlmageddon 2, and it combined the shitty plots from Pearl Harbor and Armageddon. We ended up Tivoing it and watching it and it was pretty funny...just really short.

I have a question for everyone: Do you think there is a remote possibility that Ichiro could take home his second MVP award for this year? Granted, the Mariners are in last place, but A-Rod still won last year. These are certainly once in a lifetime numbers. I still think Sheffield, Manny, and Vlad have a better chance, but if Ichiro somehow ends up hitting .400, that would probably change my mind.

Whatever, pussy. I don't cause problems anywhere else on this board, or with anyone else. You've been on my case for over a year because you're jealous that I got the education you always wanted. You even mentioned it for that brief period when I got Eagen banned the first time he came back and you told me all about your sister and how we do the same research. So fuck you. You're way better at messageboarding then I will ever be, and no one can take that away from you. I'm not gonna waste anymore time on you or this.

What, you did the same exact thing to me. You remember the picture. When you do something it's hilarious, but when I do the same thing it's pathetic?
-
Hopefully it is something as cool as last night! I'm going to have 12 tonight. Seriously. That'll put me to sleep. I had about 11 not 12 we got kicked out of the club for stepping on broken glass and calling the bouncer a faggot whoa

Four posts earlier... Do you just throw things out and hope they stick?
-
I'm not saying I fooled you. That's not the point. This isn't a mind game. The point is, you're making that look like something it wasn't and I'm calling you out on it.
-
Well, it worked. You went and queered up the board with something other than your signature when I practically told you to do it, and then you act like you were being clever again. Nice try.
-
Ok. Yes, I sent this, but unlike yesterday this was supposed to be ironic. Hey, Banky, why don't you include the full story, such as the title: Another PM to be posted to the board. I was mocking you, yet you took me seriously.

Everyone stick around for when Anglesault finally gets online and extends this thread to 8 pages!! In other news, the ENTIRE three game Cubs/Marlins series is now off. They are planning on a double header Sept. 20 and one game after the season if necessary. Not good news for either team. It leaves the cubs playing something like 27 days in a row and the Marlins 21 in a row, or vice versa. It handicaps both teams.
